    $800-$1200 car payments is insane. I know everyone says “that’s the times where in” but we are at this point because people keep paying these stupid amounts. At this rate a person will always be upside down no matter what package or trim you buy. People need to let these trucks sit on Toyota lots for months and watch the tide turn.

      @@TundraDude34 😂 I hear you, Mark. However, if you can believe this - what attracts me most about the new generation Tundra is the night and day difference of the electronics and infotainment systems from that of the last generation. Yes, I love my 5.7 liter 8 cylinder reliability, no denying that. However, I could never get over just how piss poor my so-called “premium” JBL sound system is in comparison to the current generation premium sound system, and user interface. I actually still feel a little bit cheated by Toyota to this day - for my 2019 Platinum trim, and for the cost, I never really got over it. I’ve test driven 2023 and 2024 Tundras both with the big screen and premium audio, no comparison. The additional cost is justified (IMHO). Plus, I’ve always loved the 1794 interior, saddle brown as it reminds me of one of my F-150’s (King Ranch). Anyway, sorry for the rant, but perhaps you would consider making a video that focuses on these features and how they differ drastically from older generations and demonstrate why and how Toyota put so much effort in this type of upgrade. Thanks again for all you do!

    From one Tundra dude who's constantly wanting a nicer Tundra to another my advice would be to keep your 23 and wait it out for the model year refresh. If you get a crew max now you are going to totally want the model year upgrade in a year and a half. I have wanted to pull the trigger on a platinum or trd pro but I am holding off until the model year refresh because I know I will want to trade in this current gen for that model year refresh. Don't do it Tundra dude don't do it!! Sit with the feelings and let it dissipate, it will dissipate. I am absolutely happy that Toyota will give a crate engine to the ones affected by the recall.
    What I don’t understand is why all truck period until the beginning of 2024 are not included. Per the Car Care Nut the part regarding the main bearing change sometimes in 2024.
    What I am afraid is that many that are not included will eventually fail. And that to me is the main reason and like I have been saying all along that 22,23, and many 24 will forever loose their value. Cause normally there is no way many like yours are loosing the value so aggressively.
    I traded in my 2023 1794 TRD off road for a 4Runner before the engine recall news and I’ve got almost 68k for mine barely loosing 2k, cause I got a deal when I bought it new. So there you go.

    No way I would get upside down in a car these days. Markets are volatile. I can understand why some folks prefer lease deals, but to me it just seems like a sure fire way to lose money. You cannot develop any equity in the vehicle and you are so limited in what you can do about resale. Basically, you get locked into negotiating a trade in with the dealership. And, just like in Vegas, the house always wins.

Yes, the truck R&D is basically a 2007 design but you are dead wrong about it being worth $30K. Toyota has a knack for refining their designs over many years, making the later years in any platform the best of that version. The same thing that has happened with the '22-'23 recall, occurred in 2007 with the Tundra. I have the luxury of being patient and waiting a few years before purchasing. Will I consider a '25 or '26? Toyota Corporation listen......I have been buying Toyota's for 40 years and loved every one. i hate mechanicing but do it well when it is needed. This is a main reason I love Toyota's! As of late my love for Toyota;s has been badly impacted by the V6 Turbo catastrophy still ongoing. I think you should replace all customers impacted from 2022-2024 with new 2025 simular models FREE of charge...IF the 2025 are defect free!...are tested and proven! Never lease a vehicle. Bad idea. You usually do not build up any equity. It’s like paying rent. You have nothing when you move out or turn in your lease vehicle. Also purchase a vehicle. You should know that as long as you have been doing this. Put money down on a vehicle and finance it.
    You should have known you would be upside down on the Tundra when you bought it by paying sticker for it and leasing it. Not a good business decision. Looks like you will be stuck with it until end of lease unless you can get someone to take over your lease or buy out your lease. Good luck, and never lease another vehicle!!

    • @TundraDude34
      @TundraDude34  2 месяца назад

      I never wait until the lease ends. Its a way to keep the payment lower while getting the benefits of the write off. Worst case scenario, i stay in this truck until value catches up to worth and then trade out. Ive also leased vehicles where the value goes up, and when i trade, that positive equity becomes a decent down payment on the next. But to each, their own of course, i just prefer it this way. Have a great evening!
