*Can confirm, there is blood in the water*
I only see blood, where's the water?
What blood? I only see jam
I’ve waited so long for this, my body is ready.
Bro u rock man
Shinking always shinking
Parkway Drive's music helped me fall in love with the genre
Jesus Christ just when I think your gone. 🤦♂️
Same In fact I got into metal because of parkway drive
Parkway Drive was also probably the first metalcore band I got invested in after being introduced to the genre by A7X. Pandora, Horizons, Alone, and Atlas are some of my favourites.
Same
Same here brother same here to a tee
THERES BLOOOOOOODDDD, INNNN DDAAAAUUUUUURRRR WAAATOOOOORRRRRRRR
*Crowd Killing Sounds*
Has to be the greatest (if not, definitely top 3) breakdown call out of all time.
@@amrikcrow3573 TORN IN TWO from Deliver Me as well!
Anything but "SO CRY ME A FUCKIN RIVER BIIIITCH!!!"
You came for this 3:00
THERE’S BLOOD IN THE WORRTORRR
Love our homegrown surfer blokes.
They sure make em different in Australia. Can't tell you how many times I've found a new band that absolutely slaps, only to discover they're all from the same country.
@@SG-us4gz we make mosh different down here.
I love this Parkway Drive era. So brutal. My friend got to fill in for their drummer on tour once and said these guys were great dudes.
That’s awesome!
Killing With A Smile through Deep Blue is peak PWD
Killing With a Smile, Horizons, and Deep Blue is one of the best 3 album runs anyone has ever had. Period. Parkway Drive brought fire from the heavens.
Horizons will always be my favorite PWD album lol
Absolutely man. I've picked up some songs from their newer albums but those 3 are absolutely chef kiss
Horizons is my favorite overall PWD album, but Atlas is criminally underrated
Fr, I remember I wasn't a big fan at the time, as I was listening to more post hardcore but what I noticed about these guys was that they always kept the quality very high in each album
Still slaps, my introduction to these guys was actually an old RUclipsr called killrbuckeye. Dude was a savage guitar player.
Dude same! He was also one of my early inspirations for playing guitar.
@@NapVoucher Nice! I had been playing for a few years when I found him on RUclips just covering all the songs I was having difficulty with. So easily too. And that Washburn he had was sick. All that remains tunes, parkway drive tunes and I liked his original music too.
Not sure if you knew but he came back recently
@@ZephraFPS I seen something about that but beyond seeing a notification and maybe commenting on something, I didn't really follow up on it. I wish him well though. RUclips is a very different place from back then.😅😂
@@Jopeymessmusic i would actually check out some of his recent stuff, he's done a few original songs with some other youtubers, he actually did a cover with Nik if i recall correctly.
Story time. Back in 12th grade, my class was doing an exam in the computer room. I finished early and decided to listen to some music on youtube. The exam supervisor saw me watching slipknot's live show. And we started chatting about metal, I was just getting into hevay music back then, i didn't know much. Long story short he recommended me to listen to Parkway Drive and specifically this song cause he said it has one of heaviest breakdowns ever. And let's just say i was blown away in that exam room lol. And Thanks to him now I'm a huge fan of them. The guitarwork in this song is amazing. And Winston's vocals is heavy af.
Badass Story. It’s cool when you find out a teacher likes metal. It’s always Social Studies teachers for me lol.
@@kris_kwas I'm a science teacher and I'm always pushing my students to try metal and other cool shit.
I need to find my hair straightener
Nah man, grab the vest, board shorts and some flippy floppys and get in the pit. Don’t forget your inflatable.
@@MartynBrown fucking right!
Hair Straightener?? Do you even know this band dude?? Like the opposite of scene kids
Your comment has insulted Australia.
how are you so out of touch brother
Bone yards is one of my fav metalcore songs of all Time
My favorite by PWD
I always felt like early PWD sounded like the heaviest parts of Killswitch Engage. Until I found out that Adam D was the producer for a few of their albums. It all made sense after then.
And he was on the price is right haha
@PapaBigBalls 86 He seriously did.
Parkway drive was my introduction to “screaming” music and I’m forever grateful to the friend that put them on in the car 15 years ago and forever grateful to parkway drive for getting me through very hard times. And grateful to Nik for just being a fucking awesome shredder
Imagine if Nik were to cover "Home for the Heartless". We'd finally get to see his tapping skills lol.
you havent seen his Phineas cover then
@@saltyplayer491yt5 what about his Gojira and Dragonforce cover ? Not enough tapping for ya ?
ABSOLUTE FIRE. THIS BAND IS TIMELESS!
LOVE YOUR STUFF NIK!
What I love about parkway drive is the diversity of the riffs and breakdowns in only 1 song
Old parkway hit different
Horizons is definitely my favorite album by parkway, this song and carrion are my jams \m/
I really enjoy "Dark Days" riff.
Old Parkway was fire!
had an ad for tampons bevor the video
theeeerrreeees blooooooood iiiin the waaattteeeeeeer
This song has maybe the greatest breakdown ever created
This song was an absolute staple of my youth. Such a masterpiece by the surfer bois.
One of the hardest breakdown in the game. Parkway drive in their prime is force to be reckon of.
Definitely their best song hands down 🤘
Um excuse me sir Park way is still in the prime 👌
@k ? yeah nevermind songs like wishing wells with lyrics like “So ask me how I'm coping, and I'll smile and tell you, "I'm just fine"
While down inside, I'm screaming 'til I fucking bleed
Because when everyone's expendable and your heart can't take the weight
The last thing that you wish for is the face, is the face to face the pain” but you should be more open minded parkways new songs are just as good and “ Vice grip” is amazing especially live.
@k ? idk man Prey, Absolute power, The Void are amazing songs especially live I’m sadden that you can’t appreciate they’re newer work but I’m glad you can still go back to their older work. I guess you truly can’t love an artist if you can’t except their newer work without being stuck in the past.
@@lord_Errykson Oh God this aged like milk...
I've waited literally ages for this day. Specifically five ages since I last heard Parkway Drive in-person.
Nothing beats old school Parkway
when a cover of one of your favorite songs rn pops up in your recommended.
I laughed so hard at 1:52 (dat face tho) xD
Horizons has been in the CD changer of my car since 2009 when I bought it.
The groove, the energy. That shit was badass
THERES BLERRRRDDDD
ERRRRN THERR WERRRTERRRR
@JeffRobe's Wardrobe I saw them in 2019. They didn't play this, but it was such a sick show regardless
@@khoiplaysguitar Don't think they played it last time I saw them either, they're probably over playing it thousands of times. Seems they've subbed it for Bottom Feeder now which is not a bad replacement really...Boneyards is still king though :P
The breakdown in the middle is the perfect breakdown
Discovered this song recently, good coincidence
This song is a perfect blend of melody and harshness
Hell, that's how all old PWD is. Same with Bring Me the Horizon and August Burns Red. Of course, in the case of August Burns Red I'd say they're one of the few bands from back then still killing it in the same style
Ah, Everytime I hear this song i'm back in 2007 at the Horizons album Aus Tour live show and the whole room screams THEEERRRSS BLOOOD INNN DA WATORRRRRR
My all time favorite breakdown!!
Used to fall asleep to this album in class. Nice work.
ooooh dude this iconic i love this song
The first few albums are so good. They got that aggression the last couple albums are missing.
3:02 crazy jumpscare !
Killing with a Smile, Horizons, and Deep Blue are three of the best metalcore albums of all time IMO what a great run they had
Saw them live, one of the best concerts I have ever been...
One of the best songs of that album imo.
killed it bro, absolutely killed it
Jesus...one of the best metalcore breakdowns ever 🤘🖤
That first breakdown hit Nik so hard he went full possessed
I just learned Carrion and Mutiny. Gotta learn this now that I have a reliable tab, thanks Nik
That was sick. PWD is king 🤘🏽
Takes me back to my childhood in Sydney - thanks!
Been waiting too long for this
Me when parkway drive releases a 20 minute song: 1:52
Me when parkway drive releases a 3 minute song: *THIS IS SIMP ETERNAL!!!*
Bahaha the 1:51 & 3:01 Nick face! Legendary
Oh you already did it. Epic!
My man! old school Parkway, lets hear more!
Bro this video is so clutch I needed the tabs for this since forever
Great album
this tone is spot the fuck on damn dude this is sick
CONGRATULATION FOR 400K SUB
LOVE FROM BANGLADESH
OMG I've been waiting for this moment for so long
Headbanging in sync with Nik is so much fun
Much love!! My fav headbanger
One of my all time favorites next to Horizons. Banger dude
Tone on point gat damn
Been listening to this song since I was a junior college student. I am 31. Heavy a.f! Good job bro!
HANDS MUSHED IN POO!!
I'm a huge fan of your videos man! Keep up the good work!
Horizons will always be one of my favorite albums of all time. No bad songs
Like frfr you played it so well
Parkway was my first metalcore band, still my favourite to this day, up the Aussie metalcore 🇦🇺
Best PD song ever. Thanks 🇦🇷 🤘
dude i love u for putting the tabs in the video ;D
Excellent job. Took till 2021 for someone to get it correct. 100%
This is giving me the most nostalgia from playing this during my year 10 exam for my music class in high school xD
I remember my class room teacher who was a jazz player said "i don't know how to grade this because all i heard was noise. So i'll just give you an A"
I mean- not a great music teacher but hey, at least i passed well
1:51 that Kmac face goes hard
SICK cover bro! Thanks for the onscreen tabs!
just today I was thinking of Horizons and here you are again
always liked this song one of the first heavier songs I ever got into playing.. of course could never get the intro right.. will be playing this again!
FIRST..Bad ass man. I really enjoy watching your vids bro.
im so used to boneyards starting instantly your intro took me by surprise lol
Finally some parkway drive...nice 👌
That breakdown was n1ce
Yes bruh, keep doing these classic metalcore covers!! 🤘😎
I forgot about this banger. This is for sure my fav i think… need to see this live haha fuck that shits crazy!
Now this song, I absolutely rate and have done for a very long time. Good job on the cover and tabs dude!
Brutal cover, great work Nic!
I've been waiting for this moment
Well at least they know who to turn to if they need a guitarist ! Sick cover!
1:52 undoubtedly the hardest part of the song
Sirens song was my favourite of this era
Tone is spot on, fucking absurd 👏🏼
parkway is the reason I listen to heavy bangers. This is still my favourite song to play on Guitar. still cannot get the breakdown riff perfect but i try . 10 years later hah. Please do some more classics. Maybe Pandora next ?
I start liking the song after Nick cover it..
I was just listening to this song earlier today! Then you upload this later lol
I so vividly remember when i first heard this song
Classic banger
You're a legend!!!
Thanks for the video :) Am so much going to learn this song soon.
Been watching these covers for a minute, may I suggest Idols and Anchors?
Waiting for Nik to finally learn drums and performing one man covers
Great cover. Tab is awesome.
Nik, bruh. Do you double/quad track in covers, ever? This sounds like one guitar channel on my monitors. Maybe some W i D T H going on but, anyway. Just curious how you do things when it comes to covers. Slammin as always
