I'll always respect him for his Farm Aid stuff though. I remember this music being everywhere when it came out .

I personally prefer original pressings. I still have my copy of “Born In The USA” and still love it. Believe it or not, it still looks fairly new. I’ve only bought remastered vinyl if I do not already have it. Based on your view of this release, I haven’t missed anything. Just a great album that I’d recommend for everyone. Thanks for sharing!🎧🇺🇸

Your review just reminds me how good vinyl sounded back in the 80s. I have an original pressing of 'Songs From The Big Chair' and every time i put it on i get blown away by how good it sounds. I just wonder why artists bother to reissue an album when they even can't emulate the original sound.

They could have included a 10 inch EP and put Pink Cadillac and trapped and some live tracks.

I have a copy of the 2014 release and it does sound great. But if I didn’t have that based on your review I would pick up this edition and be perfectly happy with it. . I really do like that it is a gatefold cover. That is kinda cool.

I surprised they didn't release a big super deluxe edition CD box set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the album. It's Bruce's biggest selling.❤

They probably used the same master tapes as the OG I always laugh because remastered versions aren’t very different than the original Remixes are different It’s a nice package for the 40th anniversary with the gatefold cover and book I still believe colored vinyl is crazy and hurts the sound quality a little Black vinyl rules!!!

Am I the only one who feels this way: Growing up in New York in the 70s/80s Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel got INSANE amounts of airplay. Yet, Elvis Costello and Tom Petty got MUCH less airplay on RocknRoll radio, even though they were the better songwriters. Thoughts??

So it comes in a nice looking colored vinyl, in a nice looking gatefold jacket, with a nice looking booklet and yet fussy Nick still isn't happy. Then he says he "doesn't want to knock it" but all he does is bitch about it the second half of the video even though he knew up front what was going to be in it. Begs the question, why the hell did he buy it then, especially if he loves his minty fresh OG copy? 🤔 Some people just can't be pleased.

It’s because he just can’t stop buying vinyl. He just can’t help himself. Doesn’t matter what it is. He must be getting 5-6 a week, maybe more.
I have a problem too, but Nick is next level😂
