Phyto is a french brand, i really like this relaxer because it leaves volume, doesn't burn my scalp, my hair doesn't break off.. Here in France, the brand is known for it's high quality formulas, but they don't market it as a natural relaxer. Just one that has natural ingredients, that is more safe, and doesn't damage the hair.
When Oprah was relaxed/texlaxed that used to be her go to relaxer. I loved how much texture it used to leave her with.
I used the Phytorelaxer after 10yrs of being natural. lemme tell u, My hair was THEE straightest it has ever been. My sister thought I was was wearing a wig. I used index 2 . I went swimming and my hair didn't frizz it was just straight even while wet . Now , when my new growth grew in , all of the relaxed hair BROKE OFF!!!
I did try it again and I used the index 1 and it was like a mild relaxer
I’ve used that relaxer before! It was hella expensive and left a lots of texture on my hair but my hair felt good
Yeah it's $65 💵. Thank you for sharing your experience! I think it would be a good option for people that just want more manageable. I have definitely considered switching to this instead of using the chemical relaxer but it takes me a long time to make decisions 😆. TFW
5 days only for those beautiful braids. Girl those are staying in for a month, matter of fact I'm going to put some in soon :)
I have used this relaxer and really like it…it is a little misleading in it being called natural because the straightening ingredient used in this relaxer is Guanidine Carbonate. But it is gentle and I will continue to use it:)
🤗 Thank you for watching and sharing your experience!
Does your hair revert back to natural hair when wet?
I 100% trust this product just simply because it's from France. The French don't play when it comes to chemicals
Phyto doesn’t sell these products on french market though. They only sell regular relaxer on the french website, so be careful~
@@edenj8716 thanks for letting me know !! So do you consider it a regular relaxer?
I don’t know because this product isn’t available in France. The only one Phyto is selling us doesn’t seem to be this one. Honestly, I think that if that product was really that natural and safe, it would be available in France. Maybe it’s a fake product🤔, does Phyto official website sell it in your country?
Edit: I checked again comparing the boxes. It seems to be the same product. But the french one is not ph balanced. They say it’s very alkaline and that it can irritate your scalp and make you can go blind if it gets into your eyes.
@@edenj8716 Thank you very much you probably saved me lol
I’ve been aware of Phyto for years and they even had a salon in NYC but it closed down. As you are ready the ingredients I noticed that they changed their formula 🧐 and that is very interesting 🤔. I will check it out. Thanks for sharing
I'm very intrigued by the idea alone. Thank you for watching 💞!
How have I only just found this channel?! Hey from the UK 🇬🇧 x
It’s been out a looonnnggg time. I would say it’s not spoken about because it’s forgotten. When it came out we wanted bone straight hair it came off as a fail because we had so much texture left after using. It probably would do well not if they market it again now that the natural movement came around and we are all better educated on caring for our hair.
😆 I figured it's been out for a while but I didn't look into how long it's been on the market. Yeah, Now that we are better educated about products and ingredients and just want manageable instead of silky straight hair this would be a great option. Trust me I am seriously considering switching to this product instead of continuing to use such a harsh chemical...but it's takes me a long time to make big changes. TFW
@@AprilSunnyBeauty Agreed! I tried it over 15 years ago when I was still relaxing my hair. BEST THING EVER! You are absolutely right. I have 4a, 4b thick, low porosity hair. The only reason, I stopped getting it was due to a bad experience with a non-license person working in the salon (not with the PhytoSpecfic). I could not find anyone else that used it. My hair absolutely loved it. Thick and full of bounce. Remind you of being texlaxed but much BETTER! If anyone know of someone in NC Triangle area that does it on ethnic hair, please let me know! Only find it back in the day at this Dominican hair salon by word of mouth.
Ive been using it for the last 7 years!
I am French and I decided to transition to relaxed hair for more manageability. I only buy this relaxer. Here you can't find it in regular supermarkets, you can only buy the box in drugstores for 28 euros. I was natural for 4 years and one of my biggest fear was to have a flat, shapeless look after relaxing my hair. I choose the Index 1 box and it let my hair with a lot of body. As for the natural part of the product..I think that there are still chemicals involved in the process but I imagine that the formula used is maybe of a better quality or less dangerous than some other at home relaxers.
Buy it in bulk and sell it to us in the USA lol but then there is shipping costs. Forget it 😂. Yes there is no natural product that can relax hair permanently. Not yet anyway
I would hv never known, and the braidoutlooks great
Thank you 😊!
I would love to try this relaxer but it appears it has been discontinued?
I think it will work well for you hair because from what I saw with the review it just to relax the curl and you will still have texture and body in hair once completed.
Completely agree!!!...I'm actually excited about the option of this product!
Omds Omds Omds your hair is gorgeous and long😍
Great products and l love your hair 😍
The Kim Kimble products or the Phyto relaxer?... and thank😊you for the compliment♥️!
I thought this was gonna be a review on the photo relaxer
I love phyto...but due to the mess going on with relaxers they stopped selling it in the the states...I'm literally at a lost for the last 8 months...I still use their shampoo etc line. I have full fine to medium hair...the 2 makes my hair very straight so I used the 1...i was tempted to buy it from other distributors but I'll go back to the same issue looking for it and the shelf life I would think might be old.
YASSSS HUNNY. Ur hair looks so BOMB 😍
Thank you☺️
She said "not my Walmart" 😂🤣😂
Can we get samples of the Dossier oils? I would love to get them for the holidays too.
😂😂😂😂😍
😆 Guurrrl Ms. Kim is not in Baltimore's Walmart 😂! Imma have to catch that girl online. Yes, I would love to try their oils. Dossier also have candles! I'm crazy about candles around the house so I'm definitely going to try a candle, I'm going to look into the oils! TFW 💕
I texlaxed my hair 2xs and the last time my hair was so knotted I couldn’t get it out and tried many ways to get the knots out. Nope, had to big chop so had a tiny Afro which I NEVER had short hair like that before and I hated it. I’m natural again and my hair is armpit length but I really miss relaxed hair . I just don’t like the natural look on me. Literally about to run to the beauty supply store to get a relaxer 🙄
Kim has a essential oil and a styling foam/ celebrity mouse as well in Walmart
Welp...online shopping at Walmart I go 😆 because ma'am forgot about Baltimore 😂
Yes, I mentioned the edge control to you in a previous video. Kim’s K ‘s products are great. Yes in my Walmart. I also brought her flat irons on line.
Yup, I just received the edge control in the mail! I haven't used it yet but Thank you for the product suggestion.
I've never tried it but I think it would be a good for girls that want their curls still
That's what I thought! It would be a good option instead of going back to such a strong chemical. TFW!!!
Thank you! So helpful. I'll lyk if I try it
I used Phyto relaxers for years. I saw no difference between this and any other relaxer. Smelled the same as my other relaxers. It was about $60 per box. I used it because they said Oprah used it and I LOVE Oprah's hair. Also, I wanted more texture left in my hair. But my new growth broke off just the same as with any other relaxers. I used to buy them from Sephora online.
Hi, what do you mean the new growth broke off?
@@elizabethfacundo I had breakage at the point of demarcation where the new growth (virgin hair) meets the previously relaxed hair.
I just… never imagined the thought of relaxer being “natural”. I’m relaxed and love it dearly but this was new to me lol
New to me too 😆
Texlaxed=part relaxer part texturized aka natural. seems silly to me
It was advertised as plant-based back when it first came out when I used it over a decade ago.
"Natural" is going too far.
The chemist behind this is a black woman whose name I cannot recall but it was extensively researched and developed for the French/European black woman so texlaxed is their goal, I think.
The system was expensive back then to me but thanks to you AS, I might buy it for my stylist to use on me as a precaution.
(I had sons in school so everything was a sacrifice back then. I'm way better off financially and retired from working too.)
Anyway, I'm newly relaxed as of last Thursday after over a decade natural.
I didn't want to do the chemical myself nor stretch the retouching process too far but I'll be more vigilant about everything this time.
When I was younger, I took a lot for granted.
Lessons of life...
I normally henna my hair (natural henna) but I still wanna use it 🙃
Wonder why it can't be used on henna 🤔
The Long Hair Care Forum discusses henna and Phyto relaxers. Some people still do both with good results. It’s is a good read if you’re still interested.
Just thought about you today glad you post.😊
Awww💞 thank you for thinking of me. Tfw
She's in my Walmart! Lol! I didn't buy it though. #JerseyOverHere
Heeey Jersey girl!! I'll have to just order mine online. 💞Tfw
The relaxer sounds like a game changer!! I wonder why it isn’t very well known…
I just had a talk with my Aunt who does my hair and she said it's a NO for her lol! I'm still going to look more into it. Thank you for watching!
@@AprilSunnyBeauty oh woww.. yeah there has to be a catch😆 please let us know if you find anything! xx
Absolutely 💯!
@@AprilSunnyBeauty Hi, did you use photo and like it?
its not all natural ive used it for years Phyto are the best hair products
Can you go more in depth on this relaxer? After watching this video I did some research. A lot of people & websites are saying this product still has chemical, just less than traditional relaxers. I’m natural & want to get some of the texture/tightness out of my hair, but I would prefer to try to achieve this without chemical. I’m interested in this product if it is without chemical, if not, I may as well get a regular relaxer. Thank you 😊
Totally agree! I felt saying it was 100% Natural was reaching but the company advertised it as such. I will definitely look more into it because I'm looking to switch things up myself. I'll see how much I can find out and do a follow-up🤎. Tfw
@@AprilSunnyBeauty 🙏🏾 Thank you so much…and thanks for the quick reply 😘
Look into hair botox.
I would say it is like a regular relaxer just much less harsh. Does not wash out. I gotten my professionally put in at a salon. I think that is the difference in the results, from what I am reading online.
Dossier: CAN WE GIVE IT UP FOR FLORIENTAL TUBEROSE? I get so many compliments. For your husband.. try Citrus Ginger (Chanel Blue Homme). My husband really loved it.
Guurrrl I'm completely obsessed😍!!! People sleep on Dossier but it's so worth the money.
Too Funny..Not my Walmart lol
I checked again this morning because I'm like maybe they put my gurl behind something...Nope, smh No ma'am, my gurl is not in there LOL.
@@AprilSunnyBeauty My sister is in Atlanta also. And yes they have alot more than we do.
Guuurl let me call Ms. Kimberly real quick📴...ma'am come on to Baltimore we not gonna hurt nobody 🙈🤣
@@AprilSunnyBeauty lol
She's not in my walmart either
😂🤣😂 welp, to the computer we go. I haven't used her mask yet but I'm excited. Hopefully it's a win.
