I was in Capri in April 1973. The funicular was not there yet and the chairlift was not there either. April was the right time to
come to Capri, because the island was not crowded, the weather was not too hot and the prices were reasonable. The locals
were friendly, they called all foreign tourists "signori grandi capitalisti". Greetings from Canada, Alex
Great vlog. I did a Europe tour in 2018 and I worked out pretty good for 3 months prior to leaving for the trip. I was so happy that I did because I was ready for all the walking and hiking that I did on that tour. The additional plus of the walking is that I ate all the great foods of the different countries and I still lost weight.
So wonderful Dana - you are such a joy and so good natured - even when doing all those uphill stairs on the Pizzolungo Trail. Loved watching all your adventures on Capri! I spend several months there every year now and can't wait to finally get back later this summer. Thank you for taking me along on your travels.

Yes, I like to joke with him sometimes and laugh at that especially when we travel because we try to do as much as possible and he wants to relax and its funny to see his reaction. He's a funny guy for sure!
Very nice !!! I've always wanted to go to Capri since I was like 11 ,or 12 ,I am 55 !!! Lol. I've been to Italy ,but I have lost lots of my European travel memories due to my PTS which I wasn't aware of ! I've lost my soulmate for it !! A lot has come back to me ,almost complete !! I might had been to Capri when I was in Italy !?
Too bad that it was that windy !! Lol. Outrageously windy !!? It knocked down that flower pot ! Oh my !! Lol. Those gelatos looked absolutely yummy 😋😍 My all time fave is pistachio which you had there ,too !!

Great travel video, Dana. I love the Punta Tragara Hotel. Best view on Capri, and no foot traffic. Very few hotels on that island where you don't have to look at messy rooftops.

Great video! The crowds are starting to come, have any cruise ships started their stops while you were there? I heard Capri is nice esp at night or early morning when all the cruise ship crowd are not there. I esp love you are also using the music Nicki (Positano) uses, both your videos are just making me happy and nostalgic haha!

Poor Al…I saw his face and he didn’t look happy and bro was not having it for real 😧 But hey at least it helps build up the metabolism for all the food you would eat. Trust me girl I feel you though cuz I’ve been caught in similar situations on vacation where I’ve totally gotten lost and I can’t even read a map and having to trek it. But what a great vlog…been dying to go there and you totally made it informative.
Yeah it was a rough hike! Yes, we definitely thought about how many calories we would burn. Reading a map is so helpful and it really is the worst lol.

It was truly stunning I spent two weeks in the amalfi coast and Capri it was over 4K with flights and accommodation

Hi Lisa yes I bought it at a local boutique in Positano at Luisa Positano its 200 euro and 100% linen. They are lovely they even showed me how they make their clothes. I showed it in my Positano Italy Vlog if you want to go check that out.

I've been to the Blue Grotto on a boat tour- it wasn't private though ( a group of like 30) the experience around the island is amazing, theres many caves, and blue water plus the blue grotto. I'd say do it!

You’re welcome! Yes, it would be off season it ends at the end of October many things will be closed and the ferries may not run as frequently or at all if you are planning to go to the Amalfi Coast as well. I have been to Cefalu, Sicily in October and it was warm and absolutely perfection

Capri is probably the most expensive place in Italy … prices are 2/3 times average Italian prices
And: no one puts steaks on pasta in Italy
