Ah this games like a breath of fresh air cause it showcases all the pokemon we come to know and love over the years. You can see Beedrill, Porygon, Monkey, Mario Dinosaur, Poooop, Abominaaation.

Antz wasn't technically a "ripoff" of A Bug's Life. Through a very complicated feud between the chariman of Disney's film division (Katzenberg) and the CEO of Disney, Katzenberg went and formed Dreamworks SKG with Spielberg and David Geffen, hoping to rival Disney's animation studio. From there, they planned their own movie based on ants after seeing Disney's work on A Bug's Life. Thus, Antz was born. The movie itself is different enough to warrant it not being complete theft, but the concept for Antz was no doubt stolen by Katzenberg.
The whole situation was a hectic mess but it's kinda interesting looking back at it now. Look it up if you wish; what I wrote is just a piece of what happened.
So how do Finding Nemo and Shark Tale fit into this?
diehounderdoggen Dreamworks started out as a pure pile of Disney hate and tried to 1-up them at every opportunity until they got their own identity as an animation company. Now their movies are made with love, and turn out much better as a result

About that Aladdin game, it's actually a port of the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive version of the game. Capcom made the offical SNES version, while Virgin Interactive made the SEGA equivalent.
If someone already said this, my bad.
I remember first seeing about it on a Russian yt'ber's channel about the Dendy.
It really opened my eyes to a whole new world of gaming that I didn't know anything about! Seriously as a westerner it was pretty fascinating learning about how a NES clone console was dominant over there for so long.
Not to mention all the crazy hacks and bootlegs that came out for it. As a result I've actually seen a lot of the games Joel has played on these streams prior and his reactions have generally been akin to my own.
The channel name for the Russian guy incase anyone is interested is Kinamania (or something close to that effect, can't link it as I'm on the mobile app). Most of the videos in the Dendy Memories/Chronicles videos have fairly decent English subs, not to mention the guy has a pretty decent sense of humour.

Joel, Hokuto and Skullomania (yes, that's the guy's full name) are from the actual Street Fighter EX games. They were the first Street Fighter games to feature polygonal graphics, so they were in a way the precursor to Street Fighter IV.

I was once sold a bootleg pokemon white off of eBay. It wasn't even different, besides that the cartridge had no infrared capability. that was a problem, considering I went to Pokémon league. I just don't know how a bootlegger managed to get the shrink wrap on the box though...

Some information about the Bug's Life bootleg, it is based off of the Game Boy Color game, but with less levels and equally bad controls.
Much like nearly every SNES bootleg, it steals its soundtrack and sound effects from Capcom's Bonkers.

The level design in all of these bootleg platformers is pretty identical, and I think I know why. They always have really difficult platforming where, if you fuck up, you essentially end up back at the start of the level. They did this to compensate for the fact that most of these games don't have any more than 2 or 3 levels. So like, if you have the patience to make it through the first level, you'll probably be disappointed to find that the final boss is on the very next screen.

When I was a kid, I also had one of these CDs that had a bunch of games, including adult games. We were too young to understand what "Erotic" means, so we assumed it meant "Heroic". One of the games was called "Super Hentai Fighter" and it was just MUGEN with Felicia from Darkstalkers and Mai Shiranui from King of Fighters (Mai had a victory pose where she showed her bare ass, but we didn't understand what was so wrong with that since we saw SpongeBob's bare ass on TV all the time.
I'm pretty sure that game is why I like fighting games so much as an adult.
