@@clatyra2473 all I did was turn off the lop top and hold ctrl and shift then f1 and hold the power on button at the same time and it worked for me

Mine had an error so I had to exit, so what I did to get to the starting screen is hit “esc” and then “refresh” then the power button, which brought me back

Yes, you are definitely best having a Chromebook not in developer mode if you want to keep your Chromebook safe from viruses and pirated apps etc. Developer mode should only really be used for testing and development but should be avoided by regular users. Cheers, Dave.

I have a Chromebook model C202S and yours looked similar so I watched your video. When I tried to enable developer mode it said that Chrome OS was missing or damaged. I tried to do Ctrl + D anyway, and it didn't work. I then tried to do it again after turning it on and back off again, and still didn't work. If you can help to get past that please help. After that I tried to recover chrome OS but I cannot find the small recovery button on my Chromebook model C202S. If you know where that is, please let me know. If you don't, maybe you know another way to recover it?

I went to developer mode and while I was setting up it went back to chrome os damaged or missing....and i was really annoyed
(sorry if i spell wrong)Just turn in on and off alot of times. Turn it off with power bottem and the reset bottem and turn it on normal and do it alot of times that worked for me

Hi. Unfortunately, you can't enter or exit developer mode without deleting everything on the Chromebooks storage. This is just how Google have designed it to be. Don't forget, it only wipes the data and account off the Chromebook itself, it does not erase your Google/Android account or any data and apps that you have in the cloud or the App Store, they are all safe and available for any other Android/Chrome device that you have. My brother has been begging me to turn my computer to developer mode, mainly for his use, so I refused. But whenever I do, I always feel bad. I have a few things I need to do with the requirements of chrome OS, but every time I think about it, I get scared that something'll happen to it due to all of the warnings. But, thanks to _your_ tutorials, I'm starting to feel a lot happier/positive about switching, now that I know I can go back to my "home town" whenever I like! Thank you so much for your guide, sir. Once I try it in the morning, I'll know for a fact that your hard work and research really pays off! ^w^

Uhhmm IDK. It depends on the type of games you want. It'll allow APKs to be downloaded and opened without issue, like he said, but not so much with Widows and/or Mac games. My brother was CRUSHED when he figured out that he couldn't play games on Unity the way he wanted to lol
HOWEVER, THE CHOICE IS COMPLETELY YOURS! Just if you do, make sure to take care of it UwU My friend required an AD Blocker as soon as I reseted mine so if you think that'll work you can find one in the webstore! (Or I can send an extension link)

I have a question if I return to normal mode any app that I have installed in developer mode will not be able to run in normal mode??
No, but just log back into your Google account in normal mode and you can re-download your apps or the Chromebook will automatically download them if that’s how you had it set. Cheers, Dave.

My Chromebook is locked from Administrators’s and after os verification is turned off(using power button not shift, it won’t let me) so I hit power button and in doing so it automatically restarts and takes computer out of developer mode???????

I you go into developer mode and then come out will you still have the accounts you created even if the data from them is gone
Hi. Any accounts you setup are never deleted when switch between normal and developer mode, it’s only the data and apps that are on that Chromebook that gets deleted. Plus, any data you have stored in the cloud is all fine as well. To delete any account or cloud data you have to specifically delete them, they’re not deleted just by changing modes. Cheers, Dave.
A factory reset (aka powerwash) should remove accounts and data. See support.google.com/chromebook/answer/183084

If you see insert sd and doing ctrl + d dosnt do anything. TAP the power button 2 times. Off and then back on. From there you should be good.
this device owner has disabled developer mode for this device please ask the device owner to remove the restriction if you want to use developer mode.
the system will reboot in verified mode.
How to solve this?
If the Chromebook is from a school or employer you probably can't. If it's one you bought, try logging into the account that was first used to log in on the Chromebook and look in your device settings for something about verified access or developer mode. Verified access has to be off to use developer mode.

Yes. Just log back into your Google account and your cloud saves for data and apps will be available to re-synch or download. You can also load back any data that you may have saved to an external storage device. Being in or out of Developer Mode doesn’t affect your data or apps as this is all connected to your Google account. Cheers, Dave.
