This method will factory reset the Chromebook so you will have to sign back into your account afterwards

Yep! But keep in mind even though we're able to install more doesn't mean everything will be compatible with the Chromebook. The bigger programs like OBS may have some issues since Chromebooks are really tablets so they can't handle everything a computer can.
