I prefer spamming pavise crossbow militias as Italian states. They dominate early game in campaigns due to rich cities and available decent missile units.
@@GOGPlays same, but my Muslim Archers have proven surprisingly good in early game melee if it comes to that. They're useful against elephants and siege engines too. But pavise crossbow militia are a core part of my army in every era.
In the late game why are musketeers so weak on the wall? I wanna use em because i always play the turks its just so irritating i was forced to use archers instead
Byzantium: 4 units of Trebizond Archers. Sicily: 2 Spear militia, 1 peasant archers, 1 Mailed knights, 1 Generals bodyguards. The battle was from a Byzantine vh/vh campaign I play.
As a Sicily main, this was hard to watch. On the other hand, our Muslim Archers are no joke either!

And the animations are very good, not like the atilla and rome 2 were they literally fire the arrows while walking
You know what would be more ecstatic ? Archers that shred horse archers, skirmishers cavalry and cavalry.
Yep, they are a great counter against horse archers hitting and running annoyingly.

I prefer my archers mounted.
They're not that good in town defenses though.
Is this a mod or vanilla? When I have archers on the wall 90% of the arrows go straight up in to the sky and either entirely miss or do no damage.
This is vanilla. It depends on archers positioning. If they have an obstacle between their target and them, they tend to fire like that.
This is not the scene evertime if the enemy has siege artillery or enough archers you're doomed i mean imagine the turks or the timurids
Then I would reposition my units in the town square. They don't rout there and fight till the last man.
Nice video, but you didn't show unit's card cause I want some context...

why you not make content "total war was fallen drama" like other total war youtuber recently
