Best cavalry tactic is to have two units. One pretends to do a front charge and the other hits from behind. Hammer and anvil. This front charge is lazy.

Medieval Total War engine looks so much better than every other TW that came after especially in the way the soldiers move … in this game every soldier is an individual but in the newer Total Wars everyone is a robot

It doesn't matter that your arrows can't penetrate plate armour as long as you shot enough to find the gaps in it.

Counting like all units, but must be different between infantry and missiles. Also most stronger unit in Denmark is the Obudshaer, cuz they work the same in vanilla and DLCs. Just counting Kingdoms/DLCs in my take (and infantry most), cuz vanilla is not my cup of tea: Spain: Tercio Pikemen Portugal: Dismounted Portuguese Knights England: Dismounted English Knights France: Volguiers Venice: Heavy Venetian Infantry Denmark: Obudshaer HRE: Dismounted Gothic Knights (Forlorn Hope in Teutonic and Britt) Scotland: Noble Pikemen Byzantium: Varanguian Guard Turks: Hashishim Russia: Dismounted Dvors (because they're count as heavy infantry too) Papal States: Swiss Guard Egypt: Hashishim too Moors: Hashishim again loll Hungary: Battlefield Assasins Milan: Standard Carrocio Sicily: Dismounted Norman Knights Poland: Dismounted Polish Knights (and the most strong since Poland IS the wrost faction in the game)

Why are the Pikemen didn’t lower their pikes? Are they stupid? This is not a real war where the enemy are within the pike range the pikemen didn’t lower their pikes but only to use their sidearms while a few Pikemen stabs the enemy 3 and then getting closer to use the sidearm? Freaking stupid.

People as "Why not only use Levy Pikemen since its cost effective in campaigns?" Well because armour is the main factor as if means how long can they withstand projectiles whilst in pike formation neglecting their shields.

Ottomans actually did that tactic. At Nigbolu Crusade War. 25.000 Ottomans and 5.000 Serbians fend of 53.000 Crusaders. 10.000 of them French, English and Burgundy Heavy Knights. And those were the veterans.

You can be 10 minutes into the battle, every unit in both sides routing or with 10 men remaining, you look back at your oathsworn and they still have over half the soldiers and are still kicking ass

I only disagree the Rome's finest unit , rest of these faction that you list was correct . Rome - Equites Cataphracts , Veteran Legionnary and Evocati Cohort .
