Must Know of Kontakt 7 tags and Adding Libraries

- Kontakt automatically adds libraries that are registered in your Native Access App, but any library that doesn't require a native access serial number is not present unless you add it yourself. This includes all 8Dio libraries, some Spitfire libraries, some Orchestral Tools libraries, some Keep Forest libraries, all Audio Imperial libraries, and many other useful libraries produced by many other 3rd party manufacturers not requiring a Native Access serial number that use the Kontakt engine for their samples.
You can't rely on Kontakt 7 Soundtype, or Character tags when searching for library attributes. See how to solve this problem.

How do i add older libraries to kontakt 7
I’ve found most 8DIO libraries will load as you show, but a few will not. The difference seems to be in the the Resources folder is structured in the instrument folder. Mandolin Solo and Dobro Solo are two that won’t load. The Strummer versions of both load correctly. I haven’t tried adding them the old way, via the Files menu. That may work.

for kontakt 7 can you search by preset names?
I want to add tags to the added new library but it says read only and wont let me add anything
OMG I did the same but Kontark 7 said " belongs to library that is not installed currently". What should I do now? Thank you so much

I was wondering how I was going to get all my 3rd Party Kontakt Instruments to show.
I had found the Add option but I was hoping there was a better way than Adding them one by one.

Thumbnails are not always the friendliest way to scan for an Instrument.
You can search for them in the search window next to the A-Z tab or sort them alphabetically using the A-Z tab in Kontakt 7
You can add multiple libraries in Kontakt 7.2 by selecting the checkbox that says create libraries of subfoldersand then you can go ahead and select the folder containing all your libraries :)
Hi, How did you add Metropolis Ark libraries? I cannot get theme to lad. I usuallyI get "library not found". When the Library does load the instruments will not functions and I get "This instrument belongs to a library not currently installed".
Only works on Kontakt libraries, Metropolis Ark can be Kontakt or Sine, if you only have the Sine version it will not work. Did this help?
How did you get all of your other NI libraries to show up like the Abbey Roads Drums, Actions Strings, 40s Very Own Keys? They will not show up in this new browser view for me and I have been searching on how to get them to show.
Click on manage libraries in Kontakt 7 and make sure they're all checked off.
@@BillMcFadden thanks Bill for the reply. I did that a long time ago but that did not work. What I had to do was delete the database for Kontakt 7. Once I did that and let the database rebuild, then everything showed up. Appreciate the assistance though 😀

You said the 8DIO library won't show. Why? I'm having that problem with some, not all, 8DIO libraries. Search will not find it.

Hey man none of my installed libraries show up in Kontakt, what would be the reason for this? I've added the content folder but still nothing :(
In manage libraries, make sure they're checked, otherwise add them as shown in video.

Only for presets you create and/or modify and save as user presets.

And for making clear the sounds work when i click on them but when i double click i get that error message

Just delete it from where you installed it, should work..
Choose "open the containing folder" to find where it's located, and then delete the foler that contains it.
