My bird passed away two days ago, so as a result we are going to get a new bird. My family can’t handle there being no sound in the house anymore and it just feels so empty. Thank you for making these, it will help a lot to make sure my new bird has a really good life.

I used to have budgies, my parents bought them for me on Christmas. Sadly they did not do any research and got them a tiny cage, back then I did not know budgies needed friends so I asked my parents to sell the other 2 budgies and keep one budgie to try and “tame” it, she was very stressed all the time and had no space to fly, after months I managed to get my parents to rehome the budgie and now she is having a better life at a new home.
i still do know alot about budgies and they were my favourite animal, now I like snakes better and have my own snake :), I still adore and love birds, I hope to get budgies again when I move out.

Though I do remember you saying that it also depends on your bird's character. Some do not like being petted at all no matter how much they trust you.

My bird is quite healthy except the time when she got bitten by the crows. She always ran away when she heard the crows chirping, But after a few days she became energetic,happy and healthy!

hello,, this is unrelated but really important to me, my bird got waterproof ink on her feathers its a small amount but it still worries me, it didnt get to skin i washed off how much ever i could please help.
My budgies sleep on top of their rope bridge and don't ever go to the other corner of cage, should I rearrange the rope bridge so they're forced to the other corner? I have a flat perch there and a bird hammock but they don't use it.

This is my bird. And my 3 three birds died together a month ago. I have no idea why and they were all 2 and healthy. My vet says they have no cause and they a flabbergasted.
I bought my budgie 1 and a half months ago.. it usually climbs its cage and he would be hyper. He hasn't been like that recently (3 months old) and hes been biting alot and make agressive noises like a dog
Do you have a lone bird? Birds living alone can often get annoyed, and depressed. When you come near, it is going to bite and be aggressive, because it assumes that you had done this to them. Small cages may make them annoyed aswell. I own 6 birds, and have a room dedicated to the bird, so they seem happy. Not sure why it’s been happening to the bird for u just recently, just may be it’s maturing and getting used to its environment. Try to spend more time with the bird, if unable to get more birds. My birds sometimes make the bark-like sound, like a monkey, when it just wants to be left alone or is sleepy. Don’t worry about that. Sorry this is so long, but hope this helps!

I just got a all white budgie named Zeus . It’s been 2 days and he is still pretty shy , he’ll get on my finger sometimes but when I take him out he just tries to escape . It was stressful for him when I tried to get him back in his cage . Can anyone give me tips for warning him up to people
We just got a new set of birds today and they haven’t eaten anything since we got them ☹️ they don’t chirp. However they let us pet them without hassle. I’m concerned. I’ve had birds before so quite is alarming. I’ll give it a few more days.

You can buy millet in almost every store that has a Animal apartment, just look thru the shelves and look for bird things it should be there. If your store really doesnt have it you can always buy them in a pet store 🥰

it doesnt matter your personality unless you arent experienced and hate birds? you can always get one if you love them and have the time and money to care for them and bond with them, also if you are ever gonna get a bird of any kind, make sure to buy a cage that is big enough for them to fly in and feed them fruits and vegetables with clean water and fresh seeds with pellets!
I don’t know if my budgies have just a quiet personality or they are just sad and depressed because when I play the TV they start chirping and sometimes they chirp but not a lot so it’s kind of hard to tell if they’re depressed or they just have a quiet personality🤍✨
I wish my birds ate fruits and veggies,we go them from my dad’s friend and he didn’t train them to eat it but we are slowly but all they eat is seeds :/

awh, I hope he has a place in heaven, usually when a bird is sick and about to die, they have mucus on their eyes or nose and it prevents them from breathing properly aswell, always have a emergency vet if you have an avian near you 🕊

It's bad. Seed should NEVER be fed to birds in a large quality like that. If you care about your birds get them pellets, Harrison's or TOPS preferably
