My African Grey has a full time nanny so she always has someone. I have to travel a lot. I tell my bird that I am leaving about a week before I go and EVERY time she gives me attitude like she actually understands when I tell her. I FaceTime her 2x daily when I am gone, she totally knows it's me. I sing her to sleep at her bedtime and am also there on FaceTime when she wakes up. When I return home she is very excited to see me. I do worry about where she thinks I've been. I'm sure it's stressful for her but it keeps the Harrisons pellets in her bowl.

It turns out my birb is changing feathers that's why she doesn't want to bath. I tried getting a friend for my Pinky but she prefers being alone and she wants me for herself. She's the jealous type.🐦🥰

Every time when I need to go somewhere and leave my birb at least for one hour, I feel sooo guilty and thinking about how my buddy waits for me, what’s he doing. I prepare for him more toys and TV) My birb responding for his name, I love him❤

They definitely attach to you when there is a strong bond. They can miss a person and be extremely happy to see them coming back home.
If you work and live alone- either get a same gender companion or a looot of toys

Buy millets, place it between your fingers or make sure ur little birb is bonded with your finger by placing your fingers in the perch for some time every day til it's used to it and try the Millet method and make sure your little birb is not wing cutted.

Budgees are very adaptive i go on vacation twice a year and leave them alone for a week. Of course I leave them with a clean cage, extra food and water and everything else.. i also have my radio set to turn on low volume for a few hours a day for entertainment. I also leave their night time cage blanket on the cage but only to cover the first 6-10inches of the cage so they can sleep up there. They are happy as can be. Make sure the cage is locked too, one of mine will open the door if it isn't locked

Leave its cage outside and open with food, call its name, spread the word to your neighborhood so other people can keep a lookout, and hope for the best. Depending on weather conditions and food availability (as long as it isn't too cold or hot out, and if it will be able to find food like at bird feeders or something) it may be able to survive for a little while.
My budgie who I got in Sept 2019 was seen on the loose outside for at least a week, she was sadly likely set loose intentionally. Someone managed to catch her and handed her over to us because they were unable to keep her. She likely survived on scraps and perhaps bird feeders in the area since she was seen mostly around the high school.
