I'm also broke as a joke right now but how can I not be equally grateful I'm not as broke as some people in my life. How dare I waste time feeling sorry for myself? It's selfish to dwell incessantly like that. My mom said to me before she passed, "can you not cry? It doesn't help". She smiled to her death. Told me how handsome and big I've become. She smiled on her last day even in pain. I better smile too.

A follow up scan showed 2 more tumors that I just had removed in December. I had to move to a different city 1200 miles away, my sister in law died of septic shock, my Mother in law had a massive heart attack right in front of me. She is now 80 and lives with us now that her health is failing. During all of this I thanked God everyday. No , life is not always fair or just. I had asked Master Yi in another format, how he would handle it if he were to lose his vision… I asked this because this is a possibility in my life, and I have dealt with it for 20 years, never knowing if I will be able to see tomorrow. I handle this now by cherishing everything I see and taking nothing for granted. Every full moon, no matter what the weather or where I am I make sure to go out and look at it and thank the universe that I can see it. This interview was very good For me as an answer from the master, because it is very easy to lose compassion when you are going through something hard. It is within compassion and service that we find ourselves and find firm footing, no matter our circumstances. Every has some silent burden or fear they carry, it is a part of our human condition. Selfless service without care or regard for reward and compassion without expectation. That can, at times, be particularly hard for me, but I keep trying. We all want the person we have compassion for to find themselves and their footing, but I forget, easily, that outcomes are none of my business. "I demand you get better"... has never worked for me and only tied my innards in knots.

Feeling ‘grateful’ while in difficult situations … can be a great healing energy. We hope for the best in our lives, but we will also feel fear, sorrow, loss + pain etc. People’s fear + avoidance in talking/thinking about the death of one’s self, the ending of our life, I think has contributed to a false sense that “we can have it all-all the time”. It becomes our expectation to only be successful. We feel entitled. But life is about balance. It’s about vulnerability. It’s humbling. We are vulnerable souls wandering around out there. In our lifetime, be what it may, we will have good + bad experiences. We need to acknowledge this. We should not deny it. That ‘is’ the circle of life. With this, feeling grateful demonstrates our vulnerability + our learned wisdom + compassion for each other.

That actually reminds me of two ideas. One is from stoicism, and probably Epictitus, yet maybe Aurelius.
      "The obstacle is the path".
The other idea is from Hinduism, and regards the "god" named Ganesha.
Ganesha is often depicted as some variation of an elephant. Ganesha is also often the unofficial patron saint of artistic endeavors.
The main theme of Ganesha though is something like: "the mover AND placer of obstacles".
I am not sure if I have grand wisdom to share, yet there is something interesting about the concept of what obstacles are, and how we approach an impasse in any scenario.
Remove a dam? You may flood a valley.
Place a dam, you may create electricity and arable land.
The inverse can be true as well.
Place a dam, and cause a drought.
Remove a dam and increase the amount of arable land.
      Something like that maybe.

This is the foundation of how society progresses. Someone takes on the challenge of figuring out how something happens. They figure it out at great personal expense. Rather than hording the knowledge, they share it in the hopes that someone else can use it as their starting point. And then that next person creates something new, and if we are lucky, they also choose to share it so that the cycle can continue.

One of many lessons I've come to learn in life, is that when life gets hard. I mean REAL HARD. Never ever forget that I shall consider myself worthy. Why! Because we're it easy, what would it be worth. Anyone would be able to do it. Also there is no hard or easy, it just is. And what it is, is called LIFE!

Sviatoslav Richter once had to give a concert in the US and he was taken to a piano shop and given a choice of a dozen pianos of which he picked one. He played very badly and afterwards he said he thought that choosing the piano had been the problem. He said "one should accept a piano, like fate".

Enjoy watch him answer, he takes time, and expresses deep thoughts, do believe compassion, wisdom, are good, but respect for life, number one, as yes its like the universe will give you tough times to make you stronger and grow, can you imagine how you would turn out with 1milion dollars just given to you at 18, most would die, losses it, and most of all, not respect it, I dont think I am going thru tough time so others won't, I think to each their own, and they must learn to walk, run, swim, just like I did, other wise, they will turn out weaker, and do we really want to build weaker, no, keep the videos coming, I will keep commenting thanks

I agree that compassion and wisdom are important virtues to cultivate. Respect for life is also crucial, as it helps us to value and appreciate the experiences and challenges that come our way. While it's true that the universe may give us difficult times to help us grow and become stronger, it's not necessarily the case that these challenges are meant to be faced by others in order to spare them from experiencing their own difficulties. Each person has their own unique journey and must learn to navigate their own challenges in order to grow and develop. It's important to support and encourage others as they face their own difficulties, rather than trying to shield them from experiencing hardship. Ultimately, the goal should be to build resilience and strength in ourselves and others, rather than trying to avoid challenges or weaknesses.

When you think about things you are thankful for repeatedly it builds momentum that takes negativity more to overcome. In this state of momentum is when you can think more clearly about what needs to be done and do it.

Buddhism's early understanding of the human mind and its emphasis on mental discipline and mindfulness are seen as remarkably modern and relevant, which often garners attention. The way Buddhism intersects with contemporary psychology and mental health practices is particularly noted.
Buddhism's teachings, while simple in their presentation, delve into profound truths about human existence, suffering, and the path to enlightenment. This paradox of simplicity and depth often captures the public's attention.

Return to the source...... When you lose your way, return to the source..... trace your steps back to where you lost balance..... easier said obviously.... my journey is not your journey, my journey maybe easy for someone else and may seem trivial from the outside.....
keep your mind balanced and the rest will follow
"hard" is also a mental construct Youre mental construct, your hard may in fact be easy for everyone else but it is the journey that needs to be travelled.....
we all experience hardships everyday and we've heard people realise that it wasnt that hard after theyve overcome them........ YES it is hard! hard is there for us to experience and overcome difficulties and learn..... it stays hard if you dont overcome or find a way around them, its character building
once youve managed to overcome them its easier the second the 3rd etc till it no longer is a battle and youre then armed with the knowledge and knowhow / experience to see them coming further off....
    im relearning myself lol literally......

Love & compassion are learned when someone steps forward and helps you through the dark times, unasked.
Prayers are answered when you pray in spirit instead of words. Our language limits divine potential.
Hold the feeling of your solution and give it a sound (I kid you not). Anything you like, babble, chant, hum a note - but hold the feeling front & centre.
The divine does not speak English or any other language. The divine recognises pure spirit. Pure consciousness.
      Blessings. Have fun.
