Windows sandbox could be extended to be able to save your Sandbox state! That will be so useful. Imagine having Chrome/other programs installed only on your sandbox and ready whenever you need it without cluttering your main Windows experience
i'm doing this right now with vmware, i'm running windows 10 inside windows 10 thanks to vmware player, i install the softwares in the win 10 virtual machine while having my windows installation clean

@JK not sure but I prefer Firefox-based browsers because the syncing feature is much more convenient to me, than Chrome sync. Also speed difference very minimal I believe, similar to comparing a SSD & SSHD loading times

@JK Nope, check the benchmarks for Firefox Quantum. It's comparable (sometimes even faster than Chromium) I think Microsoft should adopt Firefox Quantum engine for Edge instead of Chromium. It's really fast and not as memory hungry as Chromium but Google already holds a monopoly and people are used to Chrome so it's not adapting very well. The result of that is that some pages have compatibility issues because developers don't care about optimizing anything other than for Chromium engine. It would be better for us consumers in the long run, but world is not working that way and as @Leon Kowarschick said, they probably want to get Google involved into own ecosystem.

If it's more stable than 1809, I'll be impressed. I still use 1709. 1806 & 1806 had a broken Bluetooth Media Buttons issue (Play/Pause, Next/Prev track) un BT devices, like headphones. Pressing Pause would open Cortana, and there was no fix for it. 1809 fixed the issue and finally, after many years of begging for it, we *finally* got a dark themed Explorer (my eyes are hurting from the blinding white). The problem, however, is the freezing up randomly, especially (but not exclusively) when firefox was open. Tried latest Fox install as well as ESR versions going back 3 versions.. still freezing the PC. It wasn't Firefox, it was the OS. So, I'm back to 1709 and all is well. So yeah, stability is the best "option" to offer, not Sandbox, Office online, or a "cleaner" Start menu. There are better options for sandbox (VMs) and Office (Open Office).

Would be nice if Sandbox desktop can be run as another virtual desktop (on Task View/Timeline) instead of a window. So I can switch to it using Win+Tab. This is a good opportunity to have as an option for Sandbox.
@@ProckerDark I used Hyper-V, but I'm not aware of a specific feature from it that automatically make virtual desktop on Task View/Timeline like I mentioned? Yes, you can manually do full-screen of the VM and drag it over to new virtual desktop, but not as seamless like I was wishing for.

I like the introduction of Windows Sandbox from the perspective of someone who love to scambait scammers. Easy to get set up and going instead of having to wait for a VM in VMware Workstation or VirtualBox to boot.
I hope the sandbox gets expanded, it has the potential to be very useful. However, right now it seems to be a half baked attempt at vm software with no options menu to speak of (unless i missed it) and no saving mechanism

Is the browser edge any good? I mean I did use it once/twice maybe but that's because I needed to download chrome and some shit you know what I'm saying.
I hope they will put more efforts towards "Dark Theme Mode" since there are a lot of non-dark elements left in windows 10.. Especially those old legacy menus..
The sandbox feature has my attention. It is very useful for testing apps or going to risky websites. MS should implement a way to open up .exe files in your real system in sandbox for testing. It would be glorious imo.
I've found 18305 to be a serious step backward, I'm experiencing a lot of issues that were not there is 18298. I'm hoping they're able to clean it up on the next go around

And if we decide that one of the apps are junk and delete it, it'll be reinstalled on the next forced update. Windows itself needs to be run on a sandbox, with no accessibility to MS unless the user allowed it.

we call it hyper-v. That's the feature that already in Windows since Windows 8

There doesn’t seem to be any way to do that. I would recommend just using a virtual machine if you want to actually keep stuff in it.
