Listening to you talk and laugh together is as lovely as the things you make. I lost my mum 10 years ago, we used to sew together and were very similar to you, thank you for reminding me of those times and for sharing your time.

I’m not lucky enough to be able to look for my finds in bottle dumps or on beaches but I’ve been making trash-to-treasure dollhouse miniatures for 20 years! It’s a wonderful hobby.
I think the part that makes this so warm and relaxing is that you two can laugh together when something goes awry. Then after feeling your way through it the completed project somehow turns out exactly the way it needed to be. 🛋

Watching this reminds me of when I was a little girl. Father Christmas brought me a dollhouse set called The Sunshine Family and it came with a pamphlet of decorating ideas. I used toothpaste caps as planters with a bit of Neptune Grass tucked in them for ferns, and made chests of drawers with stacks of matchboxes covered in contact paper or wallpaper, and tissue boxes for beds. I think you did a brilliant job with the sofa!! Well done!

I watch you two for the crafting, I love it. I've made chairs and sofas for miniature doll houses, and for "anything" to rings, and jewelry and can be used to store sewing stuff-pin cushions for many years. It is folded cardboard in angles in one piece.
It was so much fun watching you two work your magic.
Such fun watching you two go through the design process of creating the project at hand! I don't know how you do it. I don't have quite the imagination necessary. I am totally enjoying watching you fill the house with your treasures! Now you need some adorable "Tiffany-style" lamps to go beside the sofa.

Very well made And thought out. Your hidden talents keep rising to the fore. Kate, the round armrests completed the sofa perfectly and Fleur your choice of that green and yellow braid made the sofa “pop” , to quote the Americans. Placing the little black cat on the sofa reinforces the view of many that cats love, fine comfortable furniture.
I really liked the green material with the gold ribbon and was pouting when you didn’t use it, I enjoyed watching you two figure out how you’d fashion the sofa. I thought you were so clever to even have worked out the design like the rolled arms and double camelback, as that is definitely in keeping with the fashion of the times! I love how you decided to emphasize the damage in the purple fabric against the green velvet. You two are so much fun to watch. When it comes to cord for the edges of the sofa, you could use perle cotton instead if you have some. Fantastic episode!

This sofa/loveseat is sooo cute! I still like the idea of a chair made of the striped fabric. You could tone it down a bit by only using that fabric on part of it or even covering it up with a throw blanket. I love the banter between you two. You just have such a great relationship. Treasure it!

Some of the best crafts are those that develop as they are being built. I often just "wing it" as I go and am usually surprised at how well it turns out and I'm no where near as talented as you young ladies are. I love this newish channel and am happy to see all the others who feel the same.😊❤
