That looks super cool! I love all these new toys! I'm 60 years old and I just learned how to ride an electric unicycle and it took me about six months to actually get good at it where I am confident on public roads. Those things are so agile and fast! I can blow anybody off the line at a stoplight and my electric unicycle goes from 0 to 45 miles an hour like that! It is super exhilarating.
I think think the main advantage of the Doop Boots is being able to quickly pop the skates off to go indoor places. I have an old pair of Rossi skates that have a quick release on the skate frame, and the boots are passable for walking short distances in. Used to take those on my travels, as a good way to get around a new city and see alot of it quickly.
I miss those days of early 90s quick and cheap metal strap on skates, takes less then 30 seconds to put them on and take them off Edit: just youtube search Metal Roller Skates and those are the ones i am talking about used to give these out during elementary school sad they stopped that it's how i got into skating. It was always a 1 size fits all cuz you could adjust the length and everything.
I really wish they would've figured out a way to use traditional polyurethane for the wheels to get more range. 15km really isn't that much and if you're doing 25kph it's probably more like 10. Really cool to see these on the market though.
Absolutely must wear wrist guards! It's irresponsible to demo without them. Spoken from someone who has Rollerbladed to work for years, electrick scooter and kick scooter to work and on third generation electric bike. That being said good video.
Great product but I just have to tease you...as a sixty four year old Brit your "traditional snow board straps" are how we used to fasten our "roller skates" 😁 You had an extendable metal skate bed with a couple of bolts which got altered as you grew and a wheel on each corner. Straps over the toes and around the heel and Bobs your uncle, skates but not as you know it. 😆 I'm sure you know what I mean really but I couldn't resist a chuckle 😄
electric skateboard's did fail at exactly what the guy is saying , u never see someone do kick flips or what not with an electric skateboard its heavy ya know... , it would break. u probably cannot even pop shove it because you would go the other direction the moment you land and u would fall . the guy is not wrong , impact on battery's the weight etc, make it so that electric vehicles like skateboards and skates can only do the basic thing of making you go forward. @@PropsOutProductions
Awesome looking product with a ton of potential. Too bad the reviewer is unfit to make a proper review of these baddies. Would it be too much to ask for a proper inline skater to show us what these can really do? And why no important key points addressed like speed, stopping power, commuter terrain variability, as well as jumping curbs and water resistance? This review is so lazy I feel third party embarrassment for Escend Blades.
would be cool if someone made a set of blades that had just the wheels with motors in an attachable plate that could clip onto shoes, then a battery pack that you'd throw in a backpack, that would be wired to the skates. would be a bit niche but the weight issues would likely mostly be gone.
I'm very interested in the byots, bring your own tennis shoes as they say in some parts of the US, how about high tops sneakers or mids,? Since they provide a bit more ankle support would that help? Although as Kobe Bryant pointed out, that's not always a good thing as his low top basketball sneaker was made with the idea that well he was a soccer fan and he said how come soccer players don't have that ankle support with sneakers and they make just as sharp turns if not sharper and with the cleats digging into grass as well but they don't have ankle problems so they were made with the idea that supporting your ankles too much all the time creates a type of atrophy situation or if you use something more it gets stronger, don't look at me on the science although he is right and it is Kobe Bryant that was his theory behind mid to low top sneakers for basketball but in this case like with ice skates your lower leg really needs to be more or less one with your ankle and foot so I was wondering how mid to high top sneakers would be supported in these things and if it would help
Ultimately I think this is a failed design, they could off load the clunkyness of the blades to other parts of the body! Like moving the battery to the back, and move the computer to other less engineering problems! You could totally find better control and balance if you did this! Also love this! Big fan of this tech! Im just saying this isn’t the end but the beginning
I look at the specs of these and the specs of the "airtrick" skates, and I wonder if airtrick is going to deliver a viable product from their indiegogo campaign. Thanks for showing us these skates, I'd love to see them compared with some other micromobility options, like mini electric Skateboards and some of the smaller more trunk able electric folding scooters?
I think these might be a little better as they're waterproof, the wheels are tires so the ride will be more comfortable and they definitely have better ankle support. The airtricks have regular rollerskate wheels, a flimsy strap for your shoes and are not water proof. They also take less of a hill.
They are way smaller, you can actually just stick them in your backpack with other stuff and use them far from home or as a last mile commute option.. These are very chunky in comparison. Either way I think gen 2 of either may be worth waiting for hopefully they do make it to that.
@@froggerc625 I mean more, can you fit the battery and motor etc described by airtrick in as small and lightweight of a package as they describe. Probably not.
give it 10 years and we will have solid state bateries... with a lighter weight (probably not for us that are now 25+) tbh tech advances and we get older and cant have the samu fun as the future generations :3
i think that some items / tools do not need things like this. if you want a more accessible and easy way of transport in city's , just use a step ( scooter?) . not 2 mention steps won't cost u +/- 500 + , it'll cost u about 2 > 300. if you are a vert skater , then i also don't see the point in this , street skating it is also meh,, for ,but i guess from and 2 the skate park it could be useful . that said , skaters tend 2 do rough things like rail grinding , stair jumping etc. which a battery driven skate , cannot handle. long distance skating ? yh i can see that , not many people around that do this though.
I literally had a dream about this and i woke up and said "hmm maybe i could make this and itll be so cool" but then i decided to look it up incase its a real thing and it is 😭
Those look really compact for electric mobility. They don't fit my needs as I have space for a full size ebike and need to go up hills but I can see the appeal
I thought the motors were gonna be automated, with a bunch of sensors detecting how much power to give. This is primitive compared to what I hoped it would be.
This is probably close to an Air Gear for now I guess if anyone gets the refrence
Where is the weapons coming our of the skates lol. Thar brings me back
I only started looking for ones cause of the Internet Pitstops video about air gear lol I love that anime
We need to be friends
Ah I too understand the concept of love
I was thinking the same thing
jet set radio is about to become a real thing

Just like the Scooters..the ended up promising a lot and delivering nothing. Factor in..the mayhem of the inner city culture
Air track is finaly here🎉
Just a few more years to got some regalia 😅
Bro i was waiting for someone that knew Air Gear 😂😂
Man air gear is definitely what we need Ina new sport
Jet set radio references???
When higher grade versions of these with more power motors comes out i will be all over it. I live in a hilly area lol

You wrote this a year ago. I am in the market and am now also going to find or weld out my own wrist guards

I've dreamt of owning something like this! Shame about the hill climbing performance, though. 😕
Can they handle grinds and slides? Probably not but aggressive versions of the skates is what it takes to make this product skyrocket
Lol because electric skateboards totally failed as a product right?

@@dslight113 ok? so? and dirtbikes arent bmx bikes, you arent making a single valid point for or against anything.
Thanks, are there also mechanical brakes on the blades?

Doesnt really seems like blading at all. Can't powerslide, can't really push, looks super heavy.. The AtmosGears seems better overall !
Cant wait to mod the shit out of them and go 200km/h and have street fights/races with teenagers
This will be perfect for University campuses. Hopefully they get the price down a bit and maybe I'll consider buying a set.
Are these one wheel drive? I feel like they should have a middle wheel for load even if it isn't powered.
How long does the Motor Last, (No Odometer but Overall How many miles do you Think?) and what Size is the Motor?
The Inner City gangs are gonna love these..especially the whte people running around wearing them forgetting where they are. Know wha im sayin
Hell ya, im get blazed while blazing around, and can arrive at friends places without being sweaty af

was this filmed on south galleria mall?

What’s the wh for the battery? Kinda curious since they say they are TSA approved?

two "amatuer" designs that are similar to what you described: ruclips.net/video/yttvsEFBUb8/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/2PvLw8nksH8/видео.html
Atmos Gear did this
Are you gonna tell us the price? Idk why this is a big secret
Can you mount the frames on a rollerblade boot?
Fun demo, but I'm not sure how you can call this "a complete review" when it doesn't tell us the weight, range, or price.
These things could quite possibly make the first revolutionary sport in awhile if they play their cards right
If these could be easier to clip in and out, these would be the pinnacle of short distance mobility.

I searched online for “Airrick” , and their appearance is really ugly, like LED slippers worn by children.

There are reviews of airtrick on RUclips now I thought
Man, so cool!
Very smart to not wear a helmet because it'll kill your skater vibe
Yep because brain damage would be a bad look.

Lol that's lame dood
2 kinds of people wear helmets, beginners and gnarly xgames dudes. Wear a redbull shirt and people will think you’re gnarly

could you tell me the link for the adapter for amazon cause I can't find and I'm struggling
Has anyone compared this to Electric skates with a battery backpack? Like is it better to have heavier skates, and less weight on the back?

I dont see why they dont have a battery pack in like a back fanny pack with wires running down. Heavy skates seems like it would be hard.
What shoes are those?
Where i can buuren this roller Blade?

They look awesome and sketchy lol
My thoughts exactly! Cute... I dunno, but cute!
Price??
AIR GEARRRRRRR
The irony of them being called Escend blades, (electric-ascend) and them having a hard time ascending inclines.
Please review the swft ebmx bike
Gonna use these while naked and laugh at the police running behind me

No top speed no brakes ? What happened
an ultrakiller in the far fitter will use this to wipe out hell
Theyre not the fastest form of micro mobility, but i think they are the smallest!
Definatly not for someome with 2 left feet if ya know what i mean
I’ll stick with my old fashioned speed skates.
amazing beach
Boosted Skates..nice
Where getting closer and closer to air gear..... fly high
Anime air gear is here
Who else is here after watcjing Air Gear 10 uears ago
That is new
wouldn't it make more sense to move the battery to a waistband? with a cable. this is a stupid layout
