"Well, He must be pretty old by now!"
"Why yes...he's almost 31"
Yes kids, he better think about moving into a one-story - not sure how much longer his knees can take the stairs.
When I saw this comment, I assumed a teenager or a child said it. Then I saw that it was the dad and I’m like...🧐🧐🧐
Understand that people in those days were old when they reached 60 years of age. People died younger. When you were 70 years old you were almost looked up as ancient. So yeah, a person of 31 had half his life already lived and society expected you to have a decent job to support your family, have a house of your own, be married and have children when you were 31.
I get a kick out of these old videos. I've always loved old shows.
I love all the old stuff to, cars music clothes, the decency and respect most people had. The entire way of life back then. Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong generation.🇨🇦
@@Peter-hg8ff I totally understand because I thought the same about myself :)
So do I...and so have I.
@@Peter-hg8ff Well let's just use these values ourselves. We can restore them and pass on to others.

I have never met anyone that did not question something in their lifetime.
@@russgenemurray6288 it’s typically not the things that actually matter though.
Great message -- faith and science are NOT opposed. In fact, it takes far more "faith" to believe that our existence and universe is just random and does not have an intelligent Creator. A little science leads us away from God, but a lot of science brings us back to Him.
I so agree! Seeing all the incredible things in nature, chemistry and science only makes the idea of God greater and greater! Why would anyone not want to believe all this was designed by God and instead think that all the incredible details and ecosystem of this world just randomly came out of nowhere?
Please upload more of these conflict videos! They are fun to watch! They must be Christian films but they seem to have practical message that is really not cheesy at all. The Coronation and Young American instructional films are fun to watch also. So thanks for uploading all of these wonderful videos!
I agree. I'm on your side on this one! ^^
My father was a devout Catholic and a scientist. He went to daily Mass most of his life. There’s no conflict!
My father was an engineer and my mother is a doctor. They taught me strong moral values and went to church every Sunday, so I completely agree. A faith threatened by rational thought is immature and weak.
There’s plenty of conflict in 2023. There’s a whole mob of wack jobs that want to get rid of the department of education because they won’t teach Christianity instead of a regular curriculum. I’m in the south and I can’t tell you how many students have been pulled out of school because their parents think the teachers are gonna tell the boys to wear dresses or something equally as schizophrenic. None of their conspiracies are actually happening but their kids are suffering regardless. Anyone that gullible taking over their kid’s education is… it’s bad news for the kids. That’s all I’ll say.
I love the way people enouciate their words back then.
You mean... talking regularly?
She means the accent

It's an old acting "accent" they taught in acting school. If you look up Audrey Hepburn, she's a prime example, and Cary Grant.☺️ The only purpose of it was to make them sound more "regal".

Only God knows if he never will because God is outside of time. If he never does and puts himself in Hell for all eternity when he dies he will know he spurned all of Jesus' graces and deserves to be there. There are people walking around right now who are like Judas whom Christ can't reach because they have already co-signed themselves to Hell and for Satan it is a matter of "running out the clock" on their lives to so speak. But we as humans don't know who these humans I just described in general are in specific terms, only God does. So i must fraternally correct you as a fellow follower of Christ. Dear palace of wisdom;
You’re right. Those who invoke their name tend to point their fingers more. And it seems that the more many of these people are involved in church, the worse they get. It turns me off to see that. I’ve had people beat me to death with the Bible and Holy Spirit and act one way around me, but talk and act differently when with others. This turns me off. And furthermore is nothing to play with.
Real true christians are not that way. There are lots of people who go to churches. But that does not make them true christians. Sorry your experience has not been a good one. Im 64 and have been a christian since 22 yrs old. I dont look at what others do. I read my bible and look at what Jesus did. Hes the only one I follow.
@@sharoncrawford3042 all that the hypocracy is good for is driving people away from the churches even more.
Here is how to be saved and not go to hell
"All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

"Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and ... he was buried, and ... he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." (I Corinthians 15:3-4)
"The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." (I John 1:7)
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." (Acts 16:31)
@@jeanhodgson8623 Here is how to be saved and not go to hell.
1) Don't waste time in believing in fairy tales and indoctrination.
2) Regard all religious believers to be mentally deficient.
3) Accept the historical truth contained in a mystical book and forget any and all the propaganda pertaining to God, Jesus, The Virgin Mary, Holiness and Heaven and Hell
4) Develop a questioning habit, that challenges facts that are really fiction.
5) Never trust a Jesuit
As someone who isn't Christian... I agree?

All you scoffers and mockers: Did you know, you're prophesied about in God's Word?

Wow, I love these old videos. As someone who is a strong believer in God and also a lover of science, it’s strange how easily they work in tandem in my mind. Science is simply the explanation and law of nature, from physics to chemistry to biology, and God crated nature and all of its laws. While some things might not be explicitly shown in the Bible, I don’t think it disproves that certain things are taking place that people hadn’t yet begun to understand. Even if God had explained atoms and how he created the world, does not mean people would have understood, or even NEEDED to explain it to us. That’s more the point of faith.
Just me trying to share my faith with you all.

They took the long way around to say, "You can be religious and scientific if you want to be. Also, the Bible and other religious texts are not infallible, and we can adjust as we learn new information."
The King James Bible is infallible. And no real science clashes with it. Evolution is non-scientific garbage, and is of fairly recent vintage: Darwin and the other monkey men.

George points out that science has been wrong before, but there is no such scrutiny of religion in the entire film. This little trick allows them to avoid the reality that they believe things despite evidence against, not that they merely believe things they can't prove.
