So I just finished watching eps 800-802 during the course of this afternoon and just noticed something. Mary has gotten to the audience match/big money match part 3 times now and has won each game with final scores of 1, 3, and 3. Wonder if any other contestant has gotten that far 3 times with even lower scores...
"An ostrich buried his head in my sand...wich." (I probably would have said "lap" in order to get matches, but I really wanted to say "sandwich" and hoped one or more of the celebs would have.)
They filmed one week, 5 shows, in one day. Contestants had to bring 5 different outfits. Both Mary and Bart Hamlin should have changed. As I lost, I only got to wear my first one. Can't remember now what else I brought. I was on MG79 #1373.
Contestants are supposed to bring 5 changes of clothes, because they film 5 episodes per week. Evidently, these contestants didn't think they would still be on the show that long, they thought nobody would notice, or they forgot to bring extra clothes.

Incredibly, this was the third time in a row that Richard's answer wasn't even on the board, despite his being called on first. Alright, she went with Richard the last two times, but they didn't match. Will she stick with him no matter what, as most contestants do? I love it! She picks Brett who immediately has a conniption fit! I always get a kick out of her dramatic reactions to playing the head-to-head. Although she's the second-most selected celebrity, she really doesn't play all that often, and when she does play, she pours her heart and soul into the effort, sometimes agonizing for long moments as Gene nags her (Gene tends to rush Brett and Charles, but even on those rare occasions when Richard takes forever to decide, Gene never pressures him). Brett last played in 762 (no match). Going back to 663, Brett has played 11 times since then (today will be the 12th), and she matched six of them (54.5%). This is her 64th attempt overall. Today's (second) H/H question: "_______ Glasses" (I'll say "sun.") Brett writes almost immediately, but pauses to contemplate. She's sweating bullets, apparently less than thrilled with what she's written. After a moment, she writes a second answer and files it.
