Wow, I'm blown away by how many options there are for literally everything. Multiple characters, alternate builds for characters, multiple modes of play, etc. There's a lot packed in here. It would take days just to try everything.

This game is so well thought out up to its minute details, it's awesome. The shooting, exploration and looting, perks and character evolution, even base building, this all the fun.
Liked how the hoard flag was across the street from the alliance flag from W.O.W.

I remember hearing about this but it was "Wild Wastes" at the time. I assumed the dev team gave up on this because I had no idea it only went through a name change. I'm once again excited to play this!

I havent done thorough research, but i hope they expand the multiplayer more than just the hoard mode. Countless hours of me playing death road with friends, would be nice to do with this.

Bows are a lot quieter than guns. Should one desire to keep a low profile, setting off a gun is the last thing one would want to do.

My only real "issue" with this is the games name. I see the name cannibal crossing and I get hyped for a dark Animal Crossing game only to find it is a different genre altogether.
The game itself looks good though.
I think you are on to something here. Animal crossing, but you perform tasks for the viliagers in exchange for adding their children to your herd, and then you eat them.
@@wisnoskij maybe haha. I think there's half a hundred ways it can be taken and ran with. Maybe you are the cannibal, maybe everyone else is and you are trying to pay off your house and get the heck out of dodge.

One of Liam’s skills is he revives from death once every three days. I think the glitch your seeing is actually his ability I just haven’t seen it used yet. Great game so far.
No, his ability is what caused him to teleport away from the boss in the first place. He said in the video thats what happened abd why. The glitch occured on his characters 2nd death

At the beginning, you were saying that you prefer a gun over a bow and didn't see the point. Usually in zombie games the difference is sound.
I don't blame this on you since I understand these are meant to be first impression videos; but after buying the game based on this video- I cannot recommend it to folks- the game's a buggy, unfinished mess despite it being out of Early Access. Performance tanks after a few hours on a long playthrough, items phase through walls, the NPC pathing gets them stuck on edges, enemies can see you through walls and damage things on the other side, and right click doesn't close certain menus, etc. This is stuff I experienced during my first session- I honestly think the game needs more time in the oven/ should still be in early access, not a full release.
With that, I kinda wished game coverage moved towards games that were a bit more mature and a few months since launch (to check whether the game is actually finished)- with videos being more focused. Over the past few weeks- they've felt as though they're directed towards the game devs on features you wish were added or spending something like a minute discussing a bug which isn't really relevant to game buyers vs. the developers themselves. I understand these videos are flows of streams of consciousness, but some of the recent videos have been crossing the 40 minute mark which is a lot of time for an often $5-20 purchase where at least for me- I just want to know if the game's finished/ state of development, what's it about, the core mechanics, and your thoughts on whether it's fun or not.
I know roguelites are notorious time sinks with regards to difficulty so exploring the mechanics can be hard- but perhaps that can be accelerated using something like CheatEngine to push on and understand the scope of the game faster?
They should make an actual death road to Canada 2 having zombies mix with the cannibals and name it like death from from cannibals/Canada

This looks WAY more polished and completely different from what I remember the first time around.. am I misremembering? I _love_ this genre but last time I came away thinking I would pass on this one, but this I really like. Has it changed a lot, or am I thinking of something else (I just remember the name seeming like a slightly odd play on animal crossing lol)

I have a pc and a series x but i mostly play on consoles and fr i feel you. They really need to have more indie titles on xbox

@@MAGAMAN no they dont tho. 800$ and my series x can do anything a 2000$ pc can do. I have both but consoles are made for gaming making the process much more accessible. Theyre both great in their own ways and have flaws the same

The characters (even the bad guys) are small and cute. Great art design. (Actually reminds me of the old Charlie Brown cartoons... 🤗)

Was so keen to get this but then I noticed no online coop or main game Coop. So disappointing, I get its probably a bit trickier for devs but you can get so much more interest from investing in even limited Coop.
Maybe the grenade launcher shoots the tomatoes.
Does this game have multiplayer?
Something to know: Multiplayer is NOT for the campaign. The only way to play co op in the campaign does not work right now. Its a little annoying considering this game has been in development for 2 years.

That says a lot, about a game…it means I don’t need a tutorial to explain what’s going on when I sit down at a keyboard with a mouse…I don’t need my hand held - I understand what’s basically going on. I like this A LOT (take notes game designers, this is called First Appearance).

Sad but it's NOT really multiplayer..... only horde def mode is.
I dont really know what to thing about this game. I think the one thing that comes to mind is that adding mechanics very clearly does not blindly improve games.
Death Road to Canada was a fantastic, tight experience. Just adding base building, rpg stuff, an open world, and removing much of the direction results in what looks like a poor project zomboid clone.
Game breaking bug experienced.... The reviews call out quite a few issues and funny to see this play session experience at least one of them. Going to hold off, just doesn't look like it's polished enough at this point.
