Splat you're one of the hardest working RUclipsrs I know. You found a niche that needed filling, ie indie games, and became the best content creator for it. Onward to 1m subs yo!

27:22 A tip for that from my mother - also worked in healthcare. Speak out loud "twenty, twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four, etc." Something about those number-words makes sure that each of them takes close to one second. And reliably so. I know this is just a demo, but I would love to watch you play the rest of this on stream! This scratches the escapists itch, but also it's not an escapists clone, I dig it!
Play this again!!! You literally give wisdom nuggets everytime I watch your videos! I learn about music, actors, movies, and about your life! It's therapeutic!
I had been having a really melancholy day and going through sort of a rut as of late. Your commentary definitely brightened my day up and put a smile on my face
Honestly if you ever return to this game on full release or something a play through would be baller with your extra prison knowledge sprinkled in and stuff it’s pretty fun to watch
You pointed out the Lion King reference but right after COMPLETELY missed the Planet of the Apes reference.... the Chimps name was Caesar!!! I love the references alreadys
Regarding the hot water comment - In parts of Asia (esp China) they're used to drinking hot water and consider it better for their stomach. Besides the traditional Chinese Medicine logic of hot vs cold entering the body, and being accustomed to drinking tea, it's probably a side effect of boiled water being safer to drink.
Yeah, boiling the water killed whatever nasties were in the water. In European culture, they made various alcohols which killed the stuff in "bad" water.
uh it's not “traditional logic” as the way you write it make it read like it's “superstitious nonsense”, it's basic it's how you get sickness, like when you rapidly change between a cold and a hot area you catch a cold. For example, in guadeloupe peoples are often sick because they transition between +30 degree outside to 24 degrees or fewer, air-conditioned interior. Also yes hot water and such is better for your guts as well, that not up to interpretation. When i read stuff like this i wonder if peoples like this are just sentient computer, just like the dude below your comment who explain that cooking/boiling food “kill whatever nasties” like who are you? Where do you come from? A sterile, sealed from the outside world technocratic bunker or a google server? Are you fed exclusively with synthetic food paste that come out of a machine?Soylent green with some additional sewage added to it?or maybe you are just trolling?
@@Dosbomber you seem to be sick, also notice how you can't answer about why you are being such a captain obvious “boiling water kill whatever nasties” my claims are correct your writing make you seem like a weirdo and ironically a wacko you even put bad in quote implying that water quality is “up to interpretation”. What next, you are going to explain walking? That you should cook meat before you eat it? Instead, you have to go and try to deflect with “oh conspiracy theoriiiist tinfoil haaat”
@The Third Heaviest Uncle in Town That's a good point, several metals do have antibiotic properties. This is why even today, things like doorknobs and sink faucet handles are made of brass.
Between splatter and manly I don’t think anyone else fills the daily undid grind. Awesome work and I’m shocked I’ve been following you now for about 5 years
CJU is pretty consistent, with interesting commentary, as well :) Between the three of them there's a bit of overlap in content, but quite a lot of it is also unique from one another.
Reminds me of a trip, I was on, to Austria. -> 12:33 We were sleeping in bunk beds. I had the bottom rack. The one having the top rack had drunk a little too much. (Austria offers quite a lot of beers, for the tourists, to try out.) We got a bucket for him to regurgitate into. Thus he was partially hanging over the side of the bed, holding the bucket with his hands beneath its bottom. As he passed out for a short moment, he did not balance the bucket, so it tipped inward and spilled its content over my bed...
I just want to say that I love the Jailbird persona that Splatty assumed for this one. The game sold me on its own, but this certainly hastened te process.
As an incidental on rubbing alcohol (just reminded of this fun little Chemistry 102 fact while Mr. S. Cat was speaking with Fernando): don't ever, *ever* drink the stuff. The alcohol you drink is ethyl alcohol, made from grain; your body can process it, as long as you don't take in too much too fast. Rubbing alcohol is ester alcohol (look it up on Wikipedia: it's way too long to explain here), and it reacts with the hydrochloric acid in your stomach to turn into formaldehyde. You...probably don't want that. But some nice prison guard might. ^.^
That koala would fuck you up. Looks like a fun game, definitely wishlisted. I hope they eventually include a character that actually *deserves* to be in prison; like a dirty cop (bad) dog (this would probably be a challenging character); filthy, lying rat; or a (stool) pigeon (who sucks up to the Administration).
This game is something of his own, I don't think I'd ever find out about it without you Splatt', or so many other original games for that matter, thanks a bunch.
i watched about 6 and a half minutes of this video and my first negative point is that Knuckles seems to be a Gorilla and not an Echidna.... i am VERY disappointed!! :D
Splatto's first day in prison, "you got two choices: 1) give me half your money or 2) get beaten up and lose half your money anyway." "What? There's no fight option? I guess I'll pay.."
33:00 Pretty sure the 3 white lines that pop up over their heads indicate which people has something to say to you. That's why when you tried to talk to ppl without it they had nothing to say.
"we're just wild animals wearing pants" Does that mean that we're generally just wild humans wearing pants? Seems much more complex than that. At least to a point where we're domesticated humans who are addicted to wearing pants and without pants we feel crippled.
In my country, Searching a parked car without a warrant based only on hearsay and not yhe officer's personal knowledge is an illegal search. Any item collected is inadmissible as evidence in court. Escaping a prison sentence is likewise a felony called evasion of sentence.
Not sure if this is different depending on the state, but in the USA, no warrant is required to search a vehicle, just "Reasonable Articulable Suspicion", which is entirely subjective BS which can be abused easily and without repercussion if the cop has a hair up his ass and doesn't like you. And yeah, cops definitely do plant things on you or in your vehicle if they feel like it. It's funny, sometimes they forget to turn off their bodycams when they do it. Oops!
I hope that the third character option, which is locked in this demo, will be the option to create your own character when the game is finished. So I guess the fox default character would be like normal difficulty and the feline would be easy difficulty.
6:44 Seeing the player will have to end up in prison either way I'll call now: Take the money and somebody else will colapse what you uncovered with you now tangled in it. Leave the money and they will take it elsewhere to mud or downright frame you.
You’re first mistake was showing mercy and trying to back off and run away during your first fight. If you’re going to buck up and fight you go 150%, you show mercy it’s taken as weakness.
Why r the fox's stats so weak xompared to the panther ?! I get that hes not a match to the panther physically but hes supposed to be 1 of the smartest aninals right ?!

how does Splattey know so much about prison life?
edit: never mind he mentioned how he knows
Yeah, was wondering the same thing.... Only 11 min in at this point :D
Haha i was also curious to know this.

Alphas and Betas are not so much.
I didn’t expect my hometown to be called out like that. We had chemical leak drills in middle school because of how close it was to the refinery.

This was probably my favorite video you have done. Tons of fun watching this one. Thanks!
We just got new orders at my sheriff’s office that a person must be named “confined person” and no longer inmate. Great
Our prisoners are called "persons deprived of liberty".
And Caesar was a gorilla. He was the first gorilla to learn sign language.
To me, it looked like Ceasar was a chimp, and a reference to Planet of the Apes.
I noticed that too. But I thought it was referring to Caesar from planet of the apes.
This remind me of Stick RPG from the browser game era. Really loved that game, definitely one of the goat
