I can't go for that
Please see and react to the - song black or white. - alip ba ta cober👈👍
John signs Possession Obsession.
The saxophone is a lost instrument in today’s music back in the day it was in all kinds of genres
They stopped offering Musical education classes in schools due to budget cuts so nobody is teaching the saxophone etc anymore. ugh
Hardly any bad songs in the 80s featured a sax. Fact.
@@Braedensground 😢😢😢
The sax most closely emulates the human voice, so we can't help but love it!! ❤
Next recommended Hall & Oates song:
“One on One”
This song is actually about New York City. Daryl and John moved there from Philadelphia. The song is about the dark underbelly of New York and how the city can eat you up, back in the early 80s there was alot of corruption, greed, drugs and gangs happening in New York. Daryl wrote this song but refers to the city as a women so listeners can relate to that more
Wow. Never knew that!
Hall & Oates, "She`s Gone" "She`s Gone" She`s Gone" "She`s Gone"...............................................................
U should check out some “Live from Daryl’s house “ collaborations. He brings in different artists in to jam with him and his band. I love Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Brown and Rob Thomas. Those are my 3 favorites, but honestly they are all great. Daryl Hall is in his 70’s and still recording greatness.
Yes indeed there are so many fantastic performances showcasing great singing and talented musicians.
I agree!
Baker Street Gerry Rafferty for the most iconic smooth sax ever. Love your confusion over what a maneater is.
Absofreakinlutely ❤️
One on One live 2002. The sax is crazy good.
Love, love, love Hall and Oats. Brings back so many memories.
Many, many 80’s hits have a saxophone in there somewhere. I think it was a requirement😂
St Elmo’s Fire!
Started in the 70s
True... Spandau Ballet
Hall & Oates "She's gone". I would soooooo love to see you react to that!!!
They are great! Daryl still makes tunes with all kinds of great folks at his House. Daryl's House on here.
Hall and Oates have some amazing songs. It's so great to see you appreciate great music
Wait until you hear “She’s Gone”.
Make a trip down to 'Daryl's House'! That's Daryl Hall's house in the 2000's. He has get togethers with huge artists for jam sessions in his home studio. Trust me, you'll like... no, scratch that... love it. :)-(:
I've been saying for years..... there is not enough sax in todays music. The 80's were PACKED with saxophone.
“The beauty is there but the beast is in her heart “…..👌
This was my cut!!!! I loved this song. My son was in the car with me when he was young and this song came on. He said "Ma, there go your song!" He knew.
You haven’t listened to Hall & Oates, before? Pls react to “I Can’t Go For That” and “Sara Smile”. ❤️
I totally agree on Sara Smile. Great song. And if you like the Sax you need to check out Kenny G song called Song Bird I think is the name. Great Sax work from him. Check it out. You’ll love it. I promise.
He did Sara Smile. Good one. 😂👌
@@dianegoldeneye7207 oh I didn’t realize that! I’ll go back & check it out. Thanks!
Killer Sax, Great Song, "Turn The Page" by Bob Seger
Definitely needs to hear some Seger
Now That's some sax right there. Seger had a band powerful enough to turn piss into gasoline.
Love that line: "Watching and waiting, sitting with you but her eyes are on the door. " I tended bar at clubs like that during the 70's and 80's, and I bet it's still true today.
Luv your reaction ♥. So good to see you enjoying it
Daryl Hall's voice is as soulful as they come. One of the greatest duos in history. They have a ton of great songs.
I agree soul has no color in some cases lol 😂 he just killed it 😮
This song DOMINATED the early mid 80's.....I dont know anyone that didnt like something by them
Takes me back to my childhood. I was so young when this song came out I thought he was talking about a woman eating men🤷🏼♀️😂
Classic 80’s
You want to hear some more sax and horn sections, listen to Chicago!
Hall and oates I can't go for that
He did that
"I Can't Go For That", "Sara Smile", "One On One" etc.,.... :)
He did Sara smile
That's a Tenor Sax! The smoothest tone of all Saxophones.
Hall and Oates "I can't go for that", "You make my dreams", "Kiss is on my list"
❤️
Hey Twon, You better watch out for that "Maneater!!!" This is pure FIRE!!! So glad you're not forgetting to listen to the lyrics...You're starting to get the story in the song...Good reaction, well done!!!
I love H&O!! I recommend you Missed Opportunity and Everything your heart desires 💜🎶🎸👏👏
HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS!!! “The Heart of Rock and Roll
Daryl Hall used to hang with the Temptations in his home town of Philly. When he and John Oates decided to move to NYC, that's what this song is about. Don't let the video fool you, that was back in the MTV days. They hated what the video directors did to their music so much the that they quit doing videos. That's what their song "I can't go for that" is about. The "official" video of it at the time is very similar to Maneater but this one recorded at Daryl's house is MUCH better: ruclips.net/video/GoXxdObGKuI/видео.html
See "i can go for that"
Welcome to the world of H&O!!! They’re awesome, aren’t they!!!
Saw Hall and Oates in the 80's in concert. They were great! Sarah Smile live is great. Your kiss is on my list,..so many songs. I'm sure others will request! Great reaction!👍♥️
This song is probably way more appreciated without the video now..cuz cheez level is high..lol. But their talent especially in the early 80s was smooth as hell..
I'll say this once and again am a 96 baby felek in love with 80s music even before that lesson to music before u where born there are GG.oats
If you're into the sax, you'll love Billy Joel's live "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant"
React to private eyes by hall and oates
This is 🔥🔥🔥. The 80's were special !!
I needed cheering up and this song and your reaction did it! Ty
I love your reaction to this song ♥️
Seen these guys live in Cleveland in the early 80s they kicked it!!!!
The Amazing Hall and Oats, I got the privilege to see them in concert in Chicago May 2018 , They Rock the house down, it was a "Dream Come True For Me" to see them, and I still have this Record! 8-)
So many memories! Thanks!!
Thank you for another fun video, watching your enthusiasm and appreciation for the older music is quite enjoyable!
Fire fire! tears of joy hearing such great music sound voice! Wow. Keep bringing back the 'greatest' era in music. You are cool, keep doing what you are doing. This is my favorite song of theirs. That beat! I just want to dance, shake my 73 year old hips again act like an idiot, and be in pain tomorrow, who cares. LOL rewind the sax!!! OMG. I love sax!
LOVE MANEATER!! So mysterious sounding..almost haunting during that AWESOME SAX SOLO!!
Another unique sound is a song called "Into the Night" by Benny Mardones. It was on the charts in 1981 and again in 1988. It was requested to be played on radio stations over
4 million times!!
Great song.
As I have suggested before; Bobby Caldwell's 6:16 live version of "What You Won't Do For Love"
which is great, has one of the best saxophone solos I have heard.. ♠W.G.
Tell it Twon!!!!
NLM, I really like how you respect all genres of music and keep an open mind!!
☆LONG LIVE THE 80'S☆
Darryl Hall's vocals have always been that insanely talented.
The older he gets he seems to become more talented..as well.
This Soft Rock/ R&B band of Darryl Hall and John Oates were always a force to be reckoned with.
Hit after hit..Decade after Decade.
Obviously you can get all caught up in listening to Hall and Oats, but hey!! love the variety of music you react to. Keep bringing it! Just love it!!
Loved your reaction and the other ones too. Big fan of Sir Daryl , what a handsome man and great vocalist..though I wasn't even born during his prime..Love from Bangalore, India😍...
Love love your expressions 😃
Young blood I really njoy your reactions lol your facial expressions are priceless..keep it up
The saxophone solos from 'back in the day' always remind me of another ' vocalist' in those songs. It sounds like reply from the subject of the song. Here is sounds like the ' ManEater Woman is arguing her side. Almost like the ' Wah Wah Wah' Teacher sound from Charlie Brown cartoons.'One on One' next please, Twon!
A good Sax adds alot to a song.
Yeah,...we ALL could use much more sax in our lives these days. (And cow bells, and Hammond organs, and steel guitars...). Where did all the cool instruments go?? Bring 'em all back. Along with REAL singers!
One of my favorite songs ❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorite songs not to mention I love Hall and Oates no matter what they're doing, lol
Daryl Hall is the blonde lead singer. John Oates has the brown curly hair and the 'stache.
Yeah that sax sounds soooo good!!!
Daryll sang lead and John was backing vocals
Heavy rain from their change of season album Dave A Stewart of the Eurythmics played the solo lead on that cut 🎸
When I first this, there wasn't mty. The video gives an experience!
Out of Touch, Private Eyes, Kiss on my List, are all great songs by them
YOU HAVE A GOOD BASS AND SAX YOU GOT THE FUNK.
great reaction
John sings the lead in She’s Gone. Great, soulful song.
Since you love the sax, I do too, watch Joe Cocker, live concert at Dormund Germany, just after the wall fell. "Unchain my heart" is the song.
Love hall and oats!
Omg. LOVE the SAX. HAVENT listen to it yet. 😂😂 goon to right now.
Song actually is about the music business. Not women specifically. Also the same theme for Cant Go For That. They used universal themes so people can relate.
Check out Daryl’s House if you haven’t. Many shows. Great music with talented artists.
Yaaaasssss!!!
Love the Saxophone 🎷
You Bring Me Joy by Anita Baker has a good saxophone part. That was a signature sound of the mid and late 80s.
Timeless
I Love a saxophone also. A saxophone just reaches out and pulls you in
Daryl is on RUclips, his channel, they make music. Daryl House
Lol i loved this song
Man you have to play one of their best
Method of modern love! It’s great
歌單裡的神曲之一,中間薩克斯風的獨奏真的是一絕,聽著感受非常的絲滑、舒服、享受,也超級推薦他們的Out of Touch、Adult Education、Mothod Of Morden Love和Possession Obsession
All women, including me have been called that at least once in their life.Fact is,if he wants a relationship and she wants to have a bit of fun,she is a man-eater,if she wants a relationship and he just wants a bit of fun,he is a player.
One one one!!!!!!!
Top 10 80s tune 👊🏻
If you loved the sax, you gotta react to Baker Street - Gerry Raferty
You should hear Out of Touch! Their last Number 1...Also a great song!
Oates actually has a couple songs that he’s the main singer! Actually has a good, deeper voice. Check out “Had I Known You Better Then” and “I’m Just A Kid”
Wow, had no idea he sang at all, he's always kind of just being there and I wondered quite why he had such a high billing for really just being a band member. Good to know they shared the load, I guess I only know Daryl's voice
@@angelika_munkastrap4634 check out the songs I mentioned, they’re underrated
If no-one has suggested it, you should listen to anything by "Tears for Fears," (I love Everybody wants to rule the world, Shout, Pale Shelter) and try "The Cure," Lovesong."Billy Idol," White Wedding. Very strong voice.
An under-rated band from the '80's are Ice House (try Key to the Kingdom) . Iva Davies is quite the crooner. Don't forget Pink Floyd. The guitar licks will blow your mind.
Oh, and please keep smiling. It's infectious. 😎
You'll like all their music
Greatest group
Gotta check out live at Daryl's House
Check out Bob Segers"Turn the Page"....also great sax but unfortunately his sax player just passed away.
If you listen to Part Time Lover by Stevie Wonder you can hardly tell the two songs apart for the first 20 seconds
