Legit life saver. My stepson told me he wants to be tV man. I had no idea this was even a character. I’ll be making this tomorrow for his Halloween costume. 🎉

If you're making it for a kid, you might need to decrease the size when printing it so it isn't too big for him.

Thank you so much! My son is so happy about his Halloween costume now and it was pretty easy to follow. The printouts were great - I cheated and made the vent holes bigger and wow did I use a ton of glue. Would have definitely been easier if I had a pad like that to cut on - wish I could post a picture!

Did you decrease the size? My son wants this for Halloween. I tried making one out of foam and FAILED. 😞 I can only decrease the size of the template in 10% increments. I believe 10 % may be to large but 20 percent may be to small. He is only six but has a big head. LOL
@@amylane6779 Hm...I haven't decreased the size to double check. I'm obviously not 6 years old haha, but my advice is to print out the first "group' in the template so you get the piece titled "screen." Hold that piece up to his head. If it frames his head nicely and doesn't look too big on his shoulders, it should work.
Try decreasing the PDF by 15%...you'd need to enter "85%" in the custom size section when you're printing it. I print my PDFs with Adobe (not sure if that makes a difference but figured I'd mention it anyway).

I decreased by 15 percent and it was perfect. He is a large 6 year old. I would say more like the size of an 8 to 10 year old. He will be upgraded tv titan man. Can you post pics in the comments? I am going to attempt the screen tonight. Fingers crossed.

This is great, any recommendations to get it to fit a kids head properly?
I haven't tested sizing it for a kid, but this is what I would do:
Print it out at a smaller scale.
Open the PDF, go to File, Print.
Under "Paper Sizing & Handling" you'll see a section where you can enter a "Custom Scale." This is where you can adjust the size. I would start off by decreasing it from 100% to 75%. This will print it out smaller, however whether or not it fits will depend on the size of the child.
Print Group 1 from the template. This is the PDF that has the "screen" (ie the front of the mask). Hold the "screen" up in front of the kid's head. If the head looks like it fits in the square and looks proportional when you look at the kid's shoulders, you can continue printing out the rest of the template files. If the head is still too small or big, print the "screen" out again at a different scale until you get a size that looks good.

Hey, I dont have enough cardboard rn and I am in a hurry to make this, but I do have a lot of foam, would it work with foamboard?
It'll definitely work with foamboard. You'll need a lot of it, though!

I sometimes get free boxes from stores or grab some from recycling bins in the neighborhood haha.
@@CardboardCosplayim getting to the paint part (with the foamboard decided to stick to it because it was more complete) but I also have some black paper to glue on, do you think it would look better than spray painting?
@@brenno835 maybe. Wrapping each piece sounds like a lot of work. I think paint might be easier/quicker. But if you're confident, go for it!

@Woopycusin Do you mean so it fits your head? Print out the "face" portion of the template and put it together... just use the paper printout. It's 2 pages and easy/quick to put together.
If the eye holes line up with your eyes and it doesn't look too big on you, it should fit and you can print out all the other pieces. If it's too big, decrease the size and check again.
