The 20 Minute Fried Chicken Sandwich
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 6 июл 2024
- I asked myself, if I wanted a crispy fried chicken sandwich that tastes great, but is done in the least amount of time possible, with ingredients I always have in the fridge or pantry, and with simple cleanup, how would I do it?

I really appreciate your emphasis on the “clean as you go” method while cooking. I do this every meal and it is so time effective!
Overall this channel is one of few that emphasises experience based advices rather than just instructing you on how many grams of flour to add and mix it. I learnt so much more than recipes from here.
Yes, totally agree, I do this as well and it makes cleanup at the end of cooking so much better! 😊
Mee too. ;)
Another thing I do is make sure I have a towel tucked in at my waist. It helps me a long the way.
Having a small bowl on the side to throw peels and such also makes cleaning easier!
That's probably the best cooking tip I ever heard. Before cooking, the first thing I do is fill the sink with dish soap and water.
The quality this channel has is so overwhelming
I thought it was just whelming.
Still very informative

Just so you know you're missing a 0 in the timestamp for step-by-step so it has the whole recipe as "intro" at the moment

Ethan's Roomate: "I bet you can't make a chicken sandwich before I can get Chik-fil-A."
Ethan: "Hold my beer, I got this."
Sounds like this could be a series of challenges...
Well Its Sunday so not much of a challenge

"you can do other things while it's cooking"
i see we have learned from the comments on the pasta boiling video that this needs to be stated explicitly ;)
Hahahahahhaa!!!! 😂 this made me laugh!
This man takes the biggest bites of any food youtuber.
LOL, I'm glad I’m not the only one who notices that! Gotta respect a cook who likes to eat!

god i want to make a chicken sandwich now :)

"Let's make a better sandwich faster and cheaper!"
Hey Ethan you should really do a video about frying oil, like the amount of oil you actually need to fry different things, how many times you can reuse fried oil and the change in flavour reused oil gives! Anyways great video!
Isn't reusing frying oil dangerous? 🤔
@@TAPORZZ1 kinda late, but no not really. If you strain out foodstuff in your oil you can re-use your oil quite a bit, and you should only replace it once it starts to taste off. The reason fast food restaurants replace their oil frequently is because they literally fry hundreds of things a day, the averagr person on the other hand will only fry one thing a day at most on average. If you're worried about germs, you don't really need to, oil is very uncondusive for germs to grow in, and in fact may people throughout history have preserved food for months by simply just submerging it in oil, it actively prevents the growth of bacteria
"ok it's time to eat my friends"
Well that escalated quickly
This was so delicious! The second time I made it, I toasted the bun a bit on a nonstick pan (no butter or browning) and then placed the onions on top of the lettuce so that the juices and sauce wouldn’t soak into the bun. :)
Recently discovered your channel. It’s quickly becoming my favorite cooking channel. I really appreciate the content.
I never comment but man your videos are just so damn good. It's logical + easy + fast + good and you explain what your doing and don't skip the minor things! Like cmon can't get any better. Really happy to see your channel has grown so much!
Ethan, I really appreciate that you provided the exact gram measurements of the ingredients. Since I use a kitchen scale often it helps with knowing exactly how much to use so that we're not guessing too much as to where foods or ingredients get wasted and thrown away or not too little to where it receipe doesn't come out accurate.
Just made this - very easy to follow and the instructions were on point. I really like the mindset of cleaning while you wait for the chicken to fry. That is a principle everyone can use in the kitchen. Appreciate it man, the sandwich turned out awesome!
strategically releasing this on sunday, when all the best chicken sandwich restaurants are closed.
Just made this for dinner (with some homemade buns), great, speedy recipe. Honestly adding this to my “what’s for dinner tonight?” toolkit
Loved the music in the back. What an amazing video, love your channel hope it'll grow much bigger and you always keep that casual atmosphere!
Your videos are absolutely amazing. Cant stand when people try to overcomplicate basic foods, great job!
Don't try me Ethan, I once turned a 5 minute recipe into a 2 day recipe without changing anything
How!??
@@andrew4363 be veeery slow to the point of invisibility
Totally understand. I, too, can make a 20-minute, "easy" recipe take several hours to complete. Usually by the time I'm through cooking, I'm far too exhausted to eat.
where video?
Heck yeah!!! So pumped to watch another Ethan video 😁😁
As much as I love to learn and master no-shortcut recipes, videos like this which teach everyday techniques are even more valuable. Thank you, and keep them coming!
I love how this recipe is just for two! Thank you!! I will be making this!
Love this type of video! Practical, easy to replicate, stuff we have on hand. Nice work!
mate, found you today. you are so good. I've watched so much cooking on youtube, and never have they been so talkative around the "around" things like cleaning (which I've seen you mention in a couple of videos.)
Thanks mate!
Great tips, like the small simple details on how to tidy up and how to reuse the oil. Nice touch.
Just made this. Honestly incredible. This is the first thing I've ever cooked at home successfully, and it's so quick and easy
I love to cook as much as possible. This is great to add to a weeknight meal list. More content similar to this idea/goal, please. Thanks, Ethan.
Anytime he’s frying something I feel this tension between him and Ragusea
Lulz! I mean, honestly I prefer to fry my own stuff if I need to take out my fried stuff.
Ragusea is an idiot I do lots of frying at home
@@userBilal91 he’s actually incredibly smart. He does great research and is a history buff. This is one of the few things he was off on. This, and not using a thermometer when cooking steak lol
@@userBilal91 nobody asked for your opinion
@@userBilal91 All he said is that he prefers not to fry at home, in fact, he specifically mentioned that mot everyone's situation is the same as his
I made this today and it was incredible! Such an easy and quick recipe. You deserve all the love you've been getting recently! ❤️
Really amazing sandwich. Very simple method, no fancy things just what you need. Thank you so much!
I really like your videos. They’re short and to the point with good methods that anyone can do themselves. I tried to clean as I go too. I’m definitely going to give this recipe a shot. Thanks Ethan!
big fan of this style of max results/effort video. also love mentioning to clean up as you cook. feels like most other cooking channels gloss over that aspect of home cooking
youre the best dude, your videos are so professional, straight forward and simple. Keep it up
I just tried this recipe and my son loved it. He has become pretty picky so this was a win. Thank you very much for the help!!!
I've been watching your videos for inspiration for some time, but this is the first recipe I've tried with only minor modifications and I've gotta say I loved it. The first time I have deep fried anything, but definitely not the last!
I really like videos like this, I can usually remember the recipe in my head and throw it together whenever I want
Ethan’s DIY cooking at its best!
Great video! Just completed this recipe and I’ve very happy with the results! Love your videos!

Just found your channel and love your style! You’re very clean and organized! Keep it up! New subscriber!
This is cooking, this is exactly how cooking videos should be done. You are the hero world needed.
Wow looks awesome. Can’t wait to try
Look amazing man I will definitely try the same recipe thanks so much!

Great job..u r for sure one of the best cooks who can relate to us and honest wid d stuff...
Made this today. Turned out great! Also, just made my first batch of pickled onions too. ...and I cook grilled chicken breast the way you do every single time now. I love and really appreciate your science based approach to simple, optimized recipes.
Thanks Ethan, good clean cut recipe/method. Tips about coating are very helpfull. Finished product is totally appetizing. RMH/Ohio
Just made this for my wife and I yesterday. Delicious!!
Wow. Made this recipe last night and people LOVED it. this is gonna be a main stay in my arsenal for the rest of my life!!
Made this tonight, bloody awesome.

Great tip with the oil, will definitely use that
Oh man I am definitely making this. Great video, love this channel!
Just made it! It tasted really good thanks!!
Looks absolutely delicious
I love this channel. Quality content.
now this is the kinda cooking I like
I like how descriptive he’s across his videos with key tips and the reasons behind them.
as always, a great video !! Thanks for sharing your tip about saving your oil... I hope people do this ! What a money saver !! And you just can't have a sandwich without pickled onions !
I seriously think you are the best cooking channel to come about since binging with babish. Keep up the great work!
I'm so glad I found your channel. I LOVE IT HERE.
I started watching your channel because your recipes were pretty great. After watching a couple videos I felt like I had seen you before, plus Chlebowski sounded familiar. I'm pretty sure I went to highschool with you and your brother.
If you are who I think you are, I'm glad to see you doing good work with your videos.
Trevor Bowman's Nana say hi! He referred me. Love the show and have watched 20 of them already.
Love it, do more of these quick meals
Will definitely recreate this!
You are improving incredibly fast Ethan, thanks for challenging yourself
Made the recipe but used a buttermilk brine as I had time, was easily one of the burgers I've tasted. Keep up the good work!
Super beginner friendly for someone like me. Thank you! Can we get more videos like this?
YES!! THIS IS WHAT I WANT!! THANK YOU ETHAN YOU DAMN LEGEND!!!!
2 videos in and I am in love with this channel. Instant sub!
Mmm! I’m def going to be trying this!
Great video, just made fried chicken last night and this makes me want to make more. Keep up the great content!
Nice! Would be awesome if you do some other 20min recipes.
This looks FAntastic and I hope to try it soon!
This is truly an always open on Sunday’s chicken sandwich recipe! Going to give this a try ASAP 👏
Impressive quality video! I learned a lot, particularly how to save the oil! Always been a hassle for me. Will definitely be looking for more!
thanks ethan, very cool
Just made this with some pickled onions, kewpie mayo, and roast vegetables (according to your recipe) tonight. Absolute delicious dinner. Such great recipes Ethan!
Great content as always, Ethan
Like many, I rarely have butter milk on hand because I don't use it enough. The fact that he used Milk and vinegar is very important. He glossed right over this point, but in fact adding vinegar to milk creates homemade buttermilk.
Definitely making this
Love your channel, man. You and Binging with Babish are my favorites. Keep up the great work!
And the pickled onions make yet another appearance! ;) Fried chicken is always welcome in my mouth haha, love this sandwich, and looks super crispy on the outside too! Light and crunchy! 😊
Me ans my wife tried this last night, took us 38min, but we did have to skin and bone the thighs. Room for improvement, but that's not the point, how good are they, the trlck with the milk and vinegar is amazing (difficult to get buttermilk in the U.K.) and the rub with starch, outstanding. Great video on all fronts. Thank you sir.
Been watching your videos recently, and I must say, this one got me subbed. I really liked your other videos, but this one was the one that made me ask myself "Have I subscribed to this channel yet?" Yes is now the answer to that question
Hi Ethan, thank you for this video. I have been trying new methods of cooking and deep frying has always been one I wanted to try, but shied away from due to the mess. Following this method I’ve got no mess or bad smells in the kitchen. Nice and quick....... oh and tasted good as well.
I followed the recipe exactly as u said and let me tell u , this is fantastic , well done bro …
big fan of this one. thanks!
No BS, no goofing around, just straight to the point, with awesome cooking techniques! Thanks Ethan🍻
Made this for lunch today on a toasted brioche bun with thinly sliced yellow onion and pickles, topped with the same sauce you made. Sooooo good! Great way to use up boneless skinless chicken thighs. Love your videos Ethan 😁
Great job! Been wanting to make fried chicken sandos for weeks now
Badass video dude! I love it!
