The pita pizza, or flatbread checks all the boxes for a go-to home cooking meal. It's simple, it tastes great, the textures, and last, it's pretty healthy for my needs.

That pizza looks remarkably fresh for having been eaten 6 times already.

The day of reckoning is coming
Literally the first thing I though of when I saw the title
what the hell were you doing with your life on the other 10
You’re so awesome bro, not all RUclips cooks makes food you can realistically make on the daily without fucking dying of a heart attack. You bring a much needed dynamic that I very much appreciate. Keep it up bro, rock those cast irons 😎😎😎
Even counting the calories. No way would I be bothered to do that myself, so I love having the reliable rough estimate.
Greetings from Bulgaria, Ethan! This is my GO TO pizza when I need to cut calories down. We do it with lavash bread or tortillas. Love it!
I love it with lavash as well. Such a great way to prep a meal.
@@EthanChlebowski Totally! I munch 3-4 of them every day on a pan, rolled with filling of cottage cheese and egg whites. Again it has a ton of protein and is quite filling! And is only arround 600-700 cals for all of them!
@@TheSlavChef just wondering... do u put anything else in these?
@@abby_gann I make a mix of 200g of cottage cheese, 70-80g egg whites and salt. I use the mix for 3 lavash breads (40g each), which i fold lke pockets. I add a little bit of pork fat or olive oil in a hot pan and sear them. Thats it, simple and tasty. You can add some parmesan or mozarella if you want, but the calories will go up a little bit.
Oh gosh, I lived one and a half year in Bulgaria and I miss its food SO MUCH !! Omg to check out your channel right now 😊😊😊
"If you can eat it
You can pickle onion it"

"we can pickled onion that"
There’s a Lebanese restaurant in Jersey City that does all kinds of these. They call it Pitzas, it was very good when I ate there.
Shout out to Uncle Momo!
"The Pita Pizza checks all the boxes for a go to home cooking meal"
*Quick correction: pizza checks all the boxes... period.
Love all your pizza content!
Well yes, but not really.
At least not for me, the local ready to use pizza doughs available SUCK at flavour and texture, if I want some pizza I have to start 1-2 days early so the dough can properly rest.
The quality of Lebanese pita here is top notch though, so it's a lot easier and faster.
I don't know how to explain this, but your channel has the energy of a self help channel, but it's cooking. Great vids man!
Ethan: I ate 6 pizzas in 4 days
Papa John: *sweating intensifies*
You have a knack for coming up with recipes that I actually end up cooking, seriously I've made the dishes from 3 of your recent videos and this Pita Pizza is next up
So true, i Started Cooking everything he makes
Omg same! It’s getting a bit creepy LOL
I love that you actually break down cooking to the methods and ingredients needed, not just a single linear recipes. To me it's the difference between teaching us a recipe and teaching us to cook! Keep it up, it's awesome. I'm writing my own personal cookbook to grab all these techniques and tips.
The attention you give to the calorie breakdowns is much appreciated and sets you apart from other channels
Another tip when using wrap breads as a pizza base, is bake the bread base ‘naked’ for 2-3 minutes on high heat, take it out and then apply your toppings. Makes for a much more crispier/ firmer base once the final cook is done.
These construct charts you make are incredible. This is exactly what I need with cooking instructions
Looks like a quick meal to try this week. Always enjoy these videos, Ethan. Always helpful to people like me who are on tight schedules.
Greetings from a Lebanese! This has been overlooked for so many years but definitely the best hack for a healthy pizza i've seen so far. Lebanese bread is so versatile. Try crisping it like chips with flavors. Amazing.
crisping it isnt the best for this pizza style cuz it gets too brittle and breaks easily, although very recommended for dishes like mloukhieh or fatteh, its best to leave it normal like when making khebze 7arra for example, this is basically that but different ingredients of course, but same concept
Try 2 ingredient dough. Few minutes extra work, but at least it's a dough, and helps add a lot of protein to your pizza.
Why not just open the bread though ?
@@gjahmato8704 Too thin, and absorbs the sauce, making pizza dry, and base mushy, and probably falling apart when trying to take it off.
@@Craftee6 Never had a problem with it, just put something below the sauce and you're done. Although in my opinion the best one doesn't have sauce, just some kafta cheese and tomato, nothing more nothing less.
You are like the first food you tuber who makes simple food I actually want to eat. A sub well earned my good sir.
I really love the Facts that ur Video-Titels are just Facts. I'm loving the Content lately. Keep up. He great work Ethan! Ur my biggest Inspiration!💪🏻🔥❤️
I just made this following your video and it tastes AWESOME! thank you!
Nice! I've made a version of this for a long time. I just "bake" in a cast iron about the size of the pita with a thin layer of oil for the brown and crispy, then cover for the last few min if needed to make sure the toppings are melted. If I'm really looking for browned toppings a min or so under the broiler/grill takes care of that.
Just found your channel and watched a load of videos, which have inspired to me to kick start a much healthier eating regime! Plus, I just used your Audible link which I have been saying to start for years. Thank you and look forward to seeing more of your content!
I have been eating your brusselsprouts salad a lot for the past few weeks. It is amazing and very customizable I love it. Will definitely try this pita pizza this week
Brussel sprouts salad is going into heavy rotation this spring and summer.
We just introduced our kids to make yourself pizzas with pitas, tortillas, french bread, etc. They have been on a mission to figure out new combinations. Has made dinner time pretty easy 2 days a week. With "school at home" it has added another lunch solution to the catalog as well.
Really loving the updates to your videos. Adds a nice layer of professionalism to the quality.
I'd love to see a video on different cooking oils and how/when to use them!
In reference to your community post the other day this type of content ie whatever you've been making a lot of recently is gold. Love this as a sort of upgrade on a leftovers sandwich
Noticed some of the things suggested in that community post were implemented in this video. Didn't make any suggestions myself but it feels great to see that sort of interaction between a creator and his community. Keep up the good work!
Sounds like another awesome recipe. Having watched a good number of RUclips cooks, my wife and I really enjoy your videos. They are an awesome combination of entertaining and accessible cooking. Probably tried more of your recipes in the last few months than any other RUclips run the last few years. Just want to say thank you for producing awesome content!
You and your videos are truly amazing.
Ahhh im so excited for this! I just made your two ingredient taco and OH MY GOD have I never had a taco as good as that. Had a crazy taco craving and being in a country where tacos are rare Taco Bell had been my only standard for tacos; but your taco recipe blew my mind. Cant wait to make this also with extra tortillas I have from that recipe!
I'm absolutely in love with how he makes those infographics. It makes things so much easier and understandable if I want a quick reference 😁
Man this is the best things that has happened to me this week lol, totally get why you ate so many in a week. I can’t stop either! Thanks man!
I love the energy you bring in this video. Keep it up chief.
Great quality video. Thanks Ethan!
Again, you "hit the ball out of the park" with this one. I do enjoy your instructionals and always learn new things. Thanks!
This is godly. Been making it this week - thanks for the share. Pre-heat pan tip you shared = gold for that crispy crust goodness.
Adam: White wine
Andrew: Tiny whisk
Ethan: Pickled onions
I distinctly remember suggesting to you about adding calorie/macro breakdowns into your videos. I'm so thankful that you took the suggestion and implemented it full on! Best wishes!
This has been on my list for ages to try do......it's amazing. Good work!
Been doing this for years just with regular wheat tortillas and even just regular pizza toppings! So quick and easy without being as heavy as a regular pizza!
This was one of the very few recipes from someone on RUclips that I actually made, thank you!
This for sure looks good and healthy-ish. No wonder you have been eating it alot! Thanks for sharing!
Looks so delicious!
Thank you 😊
Lebanese bread-pizza was my nan’s go-to easy tasty dinner. You’re bringing up some memories mate. She’s been gone 8 years and I miss her every single day.
This looks absolutely amazing, and an amazing substitute for a pizza esp when on a diet! Thanks so much - can't wait to make it myself!!!
ur really doing a great job. thanks for sharing!
Great idea and sounds tasty too! I will have to try this out.
Just started cutting this week, a usual go to for me this.
Since watching your channel I have wanted to get a cast iron plate. I ordered one this morning, look forward to using it
love every one of your videos. keep em coming :)
Thx for sharing Ethan
This looks amazing and something I could make. Thanks for sharing, My Friend.
love what you're doing. Keep it up!
Awesome idea! I’m stealing this method instantly. Thanks for the video!
ethan, wanting to eat it for the 7th time in 4days: „hey i should just make a video about it - 2 birds with one stone“
this is seriously tasty! Tried it with Jollof spiced chicken and couldn't get over how nice it tastes. Thanks for sharing Ethan!
I tried this twice already over the past week and it is delicious
Stoked to try this tonight
I LOVE these videos!!
I see another favorite and successful cooking channel
YEAH!!!!!!!!!! I love love really simple and good stuff!
🔥🔥🔥 I’m most DEFINITELY making one of these bad boyz THIS WEEK!! Thanks a bunch Ethan!! Looks awesome!! 👍👍👍👏👏👏👍👍👍👏👏👏
I’ve been making these for years and they are so good and crispy. My fave is with salsa with artichoke hearts black olives red onion and feta cheese. So good! Now that you’ve made me hungry what should have for lunch......?👍🇨🇦
Your videos have definitely improved this year, Ethan!
Loving the healthy recipes!!!
I've made variations of these for something like 10 years, so here's a pro tip: brush the underside with a bit of vegetable oil, it'll crisp up better
@Aaron Liang [Student]
Lay off the dead flesh then, and you won’t have to sweat it. Vegetarian pizzas are awesome.
This looks sooo good
AYY My man got sponsored by audible! Congrats on all growth your channel has been having. It’s well deserved!
Ethan no joke that chicken marinade is off the hook delicious!! Thank you for all the excellent content!!!
I made your risotto 4 times in the last 3 days for my family. Made arancini today and it turned out fantastic
Took 2 videos but I'm subscribed and definitely making this!
I love when you break things down to their components
Looks so yummy.!! I've got to make this .
I've been making these for years, super delicious! So cheap to make as well!
I just finished eating one and I wanted to see what other people were doing. It never crossed my mind to use hummus. Thank you for the brilliant idea.
I have been doing this for about 2 years in an air fryer. I actually turn the pita bread on the other side, because is holds the sauce in place a bit better. With the pita bread curling up, the sauce doesn't fall out. Thanks for the vid
I have been doing this for awhile now! good to see a youtube cook going with it too
I do something similar but I use naan flatbread. It's a bit thicker than the pita you use, so the crust is a bit chewier, which is what I like. I cook it in my toaster oven
I just did a big mac sauce one. Following you big mac pizza for inspiration. Didn’t have enough left over mince so chopped up some cooked chicken. Delicious
Eyy im levanese and i approve of this video, my cousins would make this for me and my sister all the time and we loved it. Now i m using a different bread its a thin version of the mankouch bread, work great!!
I just made these, they are amazing!!
Used to make these all the time. Yes they are great.
Just made the pizza you made in the video and god damn it was good, thanks for the recipe and steps.
I've been doing this but need to get the bottoms crisp. Thanks for the tip!
your videos always make me hungry
This turned out brilliant, thx bud.
When I first moved out on my own, the first thing I learned to make for myself was a pita pizza like this, and just like he says, I had it for dinner every night a week in a row. They were that good!
Amusing and inspiring. I am definitely going to try this.
Just tried the mayo marinate on chicken for the first time and I'm a believer now! Sheeesh it was 🔥. Thank you!!!
We do these w the smaller pita breads and do margarita pizzas w fresh basil, buffalo moz and fresh basil. Sometimes well add artichoke hearts, prosciutto, capicola and salami. They are super easy and delicious.
Thank you for the cast iron cleaning tip! Been meaning to ask you this for a while :)
Hi Ethan greetings from Downunder.
We have been making pizza with 'Leb Bread" for years. Lebanese flat bread here in Oz is awesone for making pizza. Glad someone with great cooking skill like you has found this out.
WOOO OUR BOY GOT A SPONSOR
HELL YEAH
Will be making a version this week.
I've done this but with tortillas for years! It is truly simple and a great quick meal.
Great recipe!
I do a similar version of this recipe, but I use greek pita, and then I cook it on the stove top with a covered pan. but I haven't tried to add fresh vegetables, sounds like a good addition
Good on you for being big enough to get sponsors.
What person doesn't like pizza? A weirdough.
lmaooooo
hahaha, nice one!
@LaDio We know you're disgusting for not liking pizza
I personally do not believe people who do not like pizza, pasta and a nice steak
