They're a great reminder that modern RX-7s are far far more advanced in the chassis. I had a SII and SVTII at the same time. I wish I hadn't sold my SII. It's 10x in price here in 🇦🇺
This is perfect. Shame those who haven't physically driven one can't feel the vibration free engine dynamics when it's revving through the RPM. You really do realise that's why the engineers put the rev buzzer in. This is going into a special folder 👍
Thank you so much for this video! I have finally achieved the dream of owning an IS200 but in the next years i will try to move closer to work, and i will have space and money for a more precious car that i dpn't have to drive every day. And the first generation RX7 is just so very fascinating. We'll see how that turns out ...
Hi! I guess the video gives an approximate sense of what it's like to drive it. I think the RX-7 is a great choice if you want an older unique lovely japanese instrument, and it's very much suitable to be hobby car. My favourite features are the engine, gearbox, weight distribution, driving position and of course the popup headlights. The cons are the steering, rear suspension, and the stock carbs are a bit unresponsive. Sadly, it's getting more and more difficult to find an intact example, and parts aren't easy to get. I hope you find a decent one!

Rx7s are like wine. The older they get, the more they age, the more tasteful they become.

You also have the visceral ride dynamics with the sound of the engine that you can't feel in the video.

Meglepődnék, ha azok akarnának lebeszélni róla, akiknek már volt.

I think he was like 6k rpm, rotaries aren’t really known for low end torque because they have tiny displacement 😁
Awesome car though!

thsarethbreaks If the engine was at a high rpm, you shouldn't have to floor it to overtake though..? What lol
