This is, by far, the best vid I've seen on this mod. I have the same lights and haven't been able to get them to turn on. I believe that I need to replace the fuse, but once I do, I'll follow your instructions exactly. Thank you!

I like this but i will buy nylock nuts and extended length brackets.. to be able to slightly bend/aim outward. I'll have to make a harness, get a relay, and switch. Glad you at least got lucky with existing wiring ! I wish it were same here. 4Runner. Hey great looking rig !!

Do those lights turn on with the back door opening?

Same
There are two channels built into the rubber, I just ran the wire out the side channel (the longer one), then when you screw the light onto your mounting plate the screws will hold the rubber piece in place. If you're a GXOR member I can tell you how to find an example photo.
How does the rear of your GX sag when you load it up with gear when camping, etc? I'm looking into the same lift kit. Thanks. Maybe make a video on it with gear loaded.
I'm not sure why, but since I installed these exact rock lights, my battery was getting drained overnight. I wired it correctly and made sure there is no contact between the ground and positive wires. Any advice?
That’s very odd. Can you check them overnight and see if they’re very dim and still drawing power? If you plugged into the factory courtesy light connectors, they stop sending power after a short time as well. Any exposed wiring in contact with frame/metal on the vehicle?
Not that I can see. I'm gonna go threw it later tonight to make sure there's nothing loose/live.

I have the same issue. After closing the door it dims and stays that way. If I lock the car, it turns completely off.

what about if u add rock sliders? would the wires get in the way?
You can always route the wiring differently to avoid any mounting points of the sliders

Do these lights stay on while driving? Or are they only on with the door open?
Only when door is open.
What type and size of lift do you have on your gx?
Eibach stage 2 lift. Set to max height pretty much.
You promise it doesn’t flicker in real life?

Why do y’all think that’s happening? Voltage differences between factory harness and light setups? Either way looks sick!
