    I have 4c hair and thought I’d never be able to love my curls. I did this about 2 years ago and I still have beautifully clumped curls that look great in a wash and go, twist out, etc. This treatment took all day and destroyed my bathroom but it was worth it!

    Hydration is the most important part coming from my journey the last ten year’s! When I was a child my hair was past my butt with my mom’s constant help well I damaged my hair from relaxers and dying heat and not enough moisture took YEARS to get them bald spots to come back! Moisture moisture moisture and keep your hair covered at night💜 keep up the great work

    After 12 years of being natural I feel like I FINALLY found my hair twin on RUclips. What in the world is our curl pattern? I feel like we have a Kinks, coils, 3c curls and a Z wave pattern when wet! Lol! Everything you do in this video I pretty much do (I’m low porosity), but I had to figure out on my own! Subbing now!

    • @clarityspeakz
      @clarityspeakz 2 года назад +10

      Just too much. There is an easier way. It doesn't take all this to get a similar result. The beautiful results we are seeing are a result of her DNA/GENES. At least 50% of her results is due to that NOT all this extra carrying on. LOL! I have similar hair in appearance but the DNA of my hair doing all this will have my hair totally dry and brittle. Especially these hair masks things. The one thing she is right about is CLARIFY strands. That is the foundation of healthy hair of ALL hair types. Clean those strands 1-2 per month. Tighter pattern likely once per month. So that's my opinion. Clarify, Deep Condition, and low manipulation styles with hydrating styling product. That's it--for Most Black Girls. I stopped watching these natural hair influencers who have ALL THESE steps but when you lift hood and kick the tires you see they have a naturally LOOSE TEXTURE that makes their hair more manageable and gorgeous when it's dry. They are the ones that can do a 9 day wash and go and it looks like they just got out of the shower. I'm sorry ladies that is GENES. NOT all these steps.

    • @VeraHannaford
      @VeraHannaford 2 года назад +5

      @@clarityspeakz Totally agree. I'm a lazy natural for the most part. I normally wash my hair once a week, and deep condition and clarify every other week or when my hair's condition tells me to. When you know, you know. So my wash day is pretty much a wash 30 minutes or so. I wish my hair could look like hers after even one day. However, I'm still learning and trying to take better care of my hair, but water, low manipulation, a trim periodically, and being gentle overall definitely helps.

    • @msmacky
      @msmacky 2 года назад +1

      You can do the original Cherry Lola Treatment that only requires yogurt, liquid aminos, and baking soda. I've done just this on my 4a/4b hair and experienced the same results. Also, a clay mask is a detox. It removes heavy metals and deep dirt from strands and scalp. Clay masks should be done BEFORE you condition. To apply a clay mask AFTER you have deep conditioned is defeating the purpose. Just keep it simple, and your hair will flourish. Save the avocado and banana as added ingredients to BOOST your deep conditioner. 👌🏾

    • @keina2121
      @keina2121 2 года назад

      @@clarityspeakz i respectfully disagree. I’ve been relaxers free for about 10 years and i tried it all. Deep conditioners, clarifying shampoos, protein treatments, pre-poos, steaming in deep conditioners…you name it I’ve tried it. About 9 years in i was ready to go back relaxed because there was nothing working that would help me get a decent wash and go. I tried this only no cherry Lola, i used a regular protein treatment, and it completely reset my hair. I did it once and have finally been able to wear wash and go’s going on a year now. Type 4a-4b I’m pretty sure.

    Thank you sharing with us this precious knowledge.
    I follow you since 3 years ago but it this year i I begin apply the method correctly and since I saw my curl partern changing they are more looser not like your’s but I saw a positive evolution.
    I feel like I’m close but maybe I have some habits make my hair dry (I use often a blow dryer, I use maybe wrong living conditioner ). Unfortunatly I can not share a foto.
    Thanks for all if you have a piece of advice I take it.

      No blow dryer, after styling air dry is best to ensure your hair absorbs all the products. Yes ingredients matter, you have to be careful what products you are using. Try to shampoo every 2 weeks and cowash in between (if you don't have a dandruff problem)

I use ACV to cleanse the scalp then Aussie shampoo and conditioner only still itchy. My hair thin as well and has definition
    If you have any suggestions on what your dermatologist advice you would be great. I never had this before until I got older

    • @NekiCakes
      @NekiCakes  2 года назад +1

      It’s all about the ingredients you’re using. That shampoo you have-I’m sure has a lot of ingredients that will cause the scalp to be inflamed, become more dry and itchy-especially the silicone in it doesn’t do anything besides clog your pores. It’s good to research ingredients in products before buying. Also essential oils/oils and fragrances can be damaging as well. I wouldn’t use acv prior to shampoo, that should be the last step after the conditioner. Try making your own deep conditioner (I have a bunch of recipes on my channel safe for a sensitive scalp like mine) the shampoo I showed in the video has done wonders for my scalp…it’s not cheap but worth it.

It so natural that their products needs to be refrigerated. I’ve discovered them this year and are available online in Canada (than god ). This week I use their orange marmalade curl definer. Thanks for the video, just curious why you would do all the moisture before the detox. In my mind, the reverse order makes sense, as the detox from the clay mask strips hair (including all the moisture, I would think). Clearly you know what you’re doing, just trying to wrap my head around it. What am I missing?

      Thank you love! To sum up the whole process it’s like doing a full hydrating facial. You wouldn’t put a face mask on dirty skin right? The face has to be clean for the skin to properly absorb the mask. To get maximum hydration there’s levels to it. Yes the clay mask can remove build up but not like a good clarifying shampoo and to get Proper hydration hair must be clean, then condition/strengthen then the clay mask does it’s thing defines the hair, seals the cuticles, removes any leftover buildup, adds shine, etc.

Thanks in advance for you help.

    • @NekiCakes

      Yes you do the prepoo (don’t rinse out) then clarify. I’ve never done a prepoo with acv, I wouldn’t recommend especially since we share the same hair type. Acv rinse should always be done last (neutralize the ph) after rinsing out your deep conditioner or clay mask.

    • @NekiCakes
      @NekiCakes  2 года назад

      Thank you love, my hair is naturally high porosity- it will always be high it won’t change. The only way is if the hair was damaged or transitioning from a relaxer (or Wtv chemical treatment, heat damage, etc.) that is how high would be damaged then become low porosity when healthy.

    • @helloelites292
      @helloelites292 2 года назад

      High porosity comes from various things such as coloring hair, relaxers, rough combing/brushing/detangling/doing too much. Low to normal porosity comes naturally. You also have to make sure, if you're low porosity, is it natural or product and/or oil buildup that blocks water from moisturizing your hair
