Really pleased you enjoyed it. We had such a fun crew out that day! Thanks for taking time to comment and I hope you are well 🤙 Maybe see you on the trails sometime!
Cheers man. Yeah, watching it really does give me mixed feelings. Joy tinged with a little bit of sadness... Part 2 should actually be the stronger edit in terms of footage 🤞
Man, this vid has made my Saturday... awesome. It looked savage and Jess absolutely owned it, as did you all in all fairness... even if you did keep “nearly dying “ 😄 Always love it when we get a cheeky profile pic of the Bird too, massive bike envy here dude 😊
Thank you so much! Nothing like a positive comment to keep the smiles rolling. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the video. Yeah, I do love the Bird. That's me had it 8 months now and I still look forward to riding it all the time. Hope you are well in these crazy times 👍🤙
Great vid Jamie, have never been at Aberfoyle trails as they are pretty far from Skye but might try and get to them on a road trip once we kill off Corona, looking forward to part 2!!
Defo worth a visit. Gutted I just discovered the place before the madness happened, however something else to look forward to in the future! Hope you are well 👍
Defo mate. I'd heard they were tricky trails but I hadn't expected them to be so damned difficult. It's a weird place, the grip is so low, a bit like Ae but with Tweed Valley natural steepness chucked in. You'd love it!
Great video mate. Love Aberfoyle never had a bad day there and the trails are incredible. Always said if you can ride at Aberfoyle you can ride anywhere.
After my experience I would have to agree with you. Aberfoyle, the steeps and naturalness of the Tweed Valley combined with the anti-grip of Ae. It is unreal!
I remember binning it an absolute peach on Danny’s dozen right where you set your bike down behind Jess 😂😂 went arse over end right into that tree/bush just to the right of where you stopped. Fun times 🤙
Great video. These are my local trails so tick 2 of the CV19 rules but I'd struggle to justify the no gnar one!! It's actually pleasing to hear acknowledgement of just how techy the riding is. Other videos often downplay that element.
Mate, they are fantastic. There is now way I could not mention the tech. I was pretty blown away by how savage they were. When things settle down I intend to visit again, just to try and get a bit more control! An amazing place Steve 👍
Thanks Pete. I have mixed feelings watching it back. An amazing day, however I don't know when I will get to ride like this again. Hope you are well mate. Thanks for taking time to comment.
Those trails!!! Superb Mate. Hope you, the family and friends are all keeping well? If all this is over with come the Summer i'm going to come up and cross the Border and ride some stuff up there with you. It really is the best. 👍
Mark. The trails were next level. I thought my locals were tough but these were in a league of their own. I hope it does settle down and you make it up here. I'd love to see what you made of our trails. I am sure you would love it. I hope you are well mate.
@@streetpigeonmtb All good thanks Mate. One of my brothers has symptoms and he lives with my mum which isn't so good. They've started they're fourteen days a couple of days ago but i've spoken to him and its only the sore throat which is giving him pain. If it has calmed down by July/August i'll be in touch and head up for a couple of days when it suits you.
Bonkers trails indeed. Have to admit that I've avoided them for the last year as I've been too scaredy-cat to give them a go even though they are only 30mins drive away from me....but I've tackled Pitmedden Trails and done the Fair City Enduro recently, so might wait for a reasonable day and hope the ground is not sodden and give them a blast.....been sessioning the trails up the Old Kilpatrick Hills of late as these have been quite challenging for me in some rather slippy conditions this September/October/November.
Face your fears! I totally empathise with you. I know there are places I avoid. I would go there and just work on sessioning. Before you know it you'll be riding them. Good luck mate : )
@@streetpigeonmtb I did these trails this week before it rained - oh my god! even dry they are dusty and slidy ! Dannys dozen looks mental and is mental, but I did it!
Nice. Check out Cathros vid from a year or two ago with the annual slip n slide. Classic oot the front moment in the snow on the last trail in your film.
@@streetpigeonmtb to be honest man, I think it looked less scary with the snow covering all those roots. Ignorance CAN be bliss. Looking forward to pt2.
Haha! Aberfoyle is mental indeed, only been once and had the exact same reaction at Danny's double Dozen! 😂 Great vid mate, looking forward to part 2 🤙🤙
Again an insane vid! It makes it even better this is only part 1, haha! Looked pretty tough there, great how you keep your focus on by talking to yourself!!! Have you noticed I have an instagram account as well now?
I'd rather you were late to the party than not at all. Aberfoyle is crazy. I'm in love with it though - want to go back and not ride it like a noob 😂 I've got part two out on Friday. It's actually a better edit IMO. Making it just made me want to ride gnar however I am being good. Hope you are well mate 👍
Aberfoyle is one the most challenging places to ride especially if it’s wet. “Humbling” to describe it is very accurate. Makes you feel like you’ve never been on a bike before. Always good to say you have ridden it but would be better to say you have conquered it. Alas this is unlikely for the majority. Good honest vid.
With a modern aggressive hardtail it would be I think. It isn't a crazy-rough place, just technically demanding. If you ride your hardtail on other off piste trails then this should be fine also 👍
Hi Richard. It's a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt. I've used Garmin and Lezyne before but I'd have to say the Wahoo is the best. The way it interacts with the phone app is IMO streets ahead of Garmin and Lezyne. The screen isn't colour but it is exceptionally clear. I really rate it.
Thank you for letting me be part of this one ! What an amazing day out. So excited for Part 2 will be even better 🤩 !!
Thank you! Always have a great laugh when we are out with you Jess. Part 2 is going to be a ripper 🤙
Great vid guys, thanks for sharing. (I wish I can ride with you sometime 🙏) Cheers.

Fantastic video mate, loved the jess cam, looked scarily steep in places, well done 👍
Thanks mate. It was bonkers steep in places. I'm glad you liked the multi cam. I really enjoyed editing with a couple of perspectives!
Another top video mate 👍 these trails looks good, iv never been up that way.. I'll need to get up there

I did these trails in the wet! I found them bloody steep and slippy! Good to know it's not just me that found them committing.
Hats off to you! I watched the Slip and Slide videos before I went. Riding Aberfoyle in anything but prime conditions looks terrifying!

Street Pigeon MTB will be the first place I go once we’re allowed to travel again only 30 mins along the road from me.
Awesome mate. Let's hope that time is not too far away 👍🤙
Aberfoyle now added to a growing list of "must visit when this is over" locations. Looks mint.
I think we all have one of those lists! Riding new trails is going to feel amazing when it happens. Cheers mate.

Sick! Keeping the MTB stoke alive with these vids dude 🤘🏼🔥

@@streetpigeonmtb that corner on Danny's Double Dozen (volcano corner) is pretty "special" 😜
Hell yeah. It's now one of my top 10 life goals! 😂

It is a very nice piece of kit!

Take care.. 🤟
Pretty high quality footage. Loving the commentary. Keep up the great riding. I would rank you as more than an average rider. (subscribed)
Thank you. Great to have you on board. I do my best on the trails, hopefully I can keep on improving!
Need to check these out next time I’m up this way 👌
You'd love it mate. Completely savage! 🤙
I've never heard "oh my god" mentioned so many times during a MTB vlog. :-), looked super gnarly - great effort by all.
Crow Mountain Biking I’ve not sworn so much 🤣
Ha ha! I even had to bring out the official bleep sound for Jess' potty mouth 😂😂😂
Jess Stone must have been super sketchy AND gnarly 👊

I'm lucky. As chief editor I can make out that I am an angel! 😂
