For anyone riding in the area. These trails are maintained by a small dig crew called the Trossachs Trail Association. Can be found via a search on socials. Enda and Pete have worked tirelessly to get the permissions and are putting countless hours of grunt work and red tape cutting with the FLS to keep the sensitive access issues at bay and build legitimacy for the trails. The crew have been digging hard this year. While things might not seem very manicured compared to Tweed valley trails, this is intentional. These trails are a rare gem of a test piece and the trail crew are doing their best not to sanitise the "aberfoyle experience". It's mostly all been about fighting drainage and erosion issues. If anyone wants to support the local TA we meet up every first weekend of the month and all are welcome.
This is the sort of thing RUclipsrs really should be prefacing all their videos with - they pay nothing to access these locations and [sometimes] give no credit to the people putting in the work. Well done for highlighting. (I've edited my comment to make it slightly less blunt).
How about RUclipsrs doing more videos on trail maintenance or even doing some themselves? You have a lot of clout and your help would be appreciated 👌🏼
Sir. You’re a true gentleman, offering Jess the gummies first is something I notice. To me that’s class. And stop short selling your skills. You’re a great rider. Cheers mate. Another great video.
“Wish this would chill out a bit now”, know that feeling haha! Especially when you’ve not ridden the trail before and you don’t know how long the wildness continues! 😂
Never been to Aberfoyle trails seem to have a reputation of being properly gnarly and technical, some skilfull navigating those tight lines, thanks for sharing Jamie! 😁
Rode some of those black trails back in 2021 and scared myself stupid - just so steep and rutted! Got to say that they still look as steep but possibly not as narrow in some places. 10/10 to the people who maintain these - not an easy job 👍👍. Hopefully I've progressed a bit since 2021, but I wont be rushing back to Aberfoyle straight away 🤔, no point pushing it and ending up injured!! Great videos Jamie, keep it up 👏.
"These climbs are great". Love it 😂. Never heard of these trails but will be checking them out now (lots of hike a bike - downhill - I suspect). Thanks for another great vid!
Cracking edit pal. The technicality and steepness of the trails really came across well on film! You’ve not completely put me off aberfoyle but I’d need to be wearing my big boy pants that day for sure! 😂 This made us proper buzzing about getting out for a ride! 🙌
Hey Jon! Good to hear from you. Yeah, big boy pants required. Think mine were falling down at points 😆 Hope you guys are good and hopefully get out for a ride with you at some point 🙌

Thanks for the info. Don't suppose you have a donation link for anyone wanting to put their hands in their pockets?

@alihair1246 wonderful generalisation there Ali. Thanks for offering such an insightful comment 😁
@echocornet hey mate. I do help on the trails, and I give money to my local trail association. If everyone did that lots would be achieved 👍

@ very well ridden buddy, serious commitment on show. Defo get out soon mate!
Fantastic riding 👏
Thank you 😊
@21.13 that is probably _the_ hardest bit of all the trails at Aberfoyle.
Tricky indeed!
Intense. Great riding!
Cheers. Some place!
Ah, home turf. Cannot be beat.
Explains why you guys are all so good at riding! Tricky trails!
This place looks epic! Thought it was Penfold from the screen shot 😅
It's a proper challenge mate. That Shirley's trail is so steep!
That drop in the thumbnail is basically vertical into a 90 degree right. Beyond my bravery levels!
Great riding with you guys!!! I promise the next time won’t be as scary 😂😂
I don't believe you 😆😊
Taking someone down Shirley's on there 2nd trip there😅
My thoughts exactly 😆
Great riding Jamie.
Cheers man. Many squeaky-bum moments were had 😆

Cheers Diz. Some place for sure. One for the tech lovers!
Stopped off here once on the way back from Machavalanche, would like to go back as we only did a few of the trails
Nice. How was Macavalanche?
Its Jess!!!!
She's back! 😊
Amazing , do you plan on riding in Aviemore again at any point ?
Definitely. I'm just super busy with work so it's been difficult to plan trips.
21:13 terrifying!
There were some scary sections for sure!
Seems a heck of a rider that Jess one
Yeah, she's a racer through and through 👌
