Reviewing the 6000 series GPUs could be really interesting with that alleged performance uplift from pairing a Ryzen CPU and 6000 series GPU. I wonder if any of the major channels will be running benchmarks with both a 10900k and a 5950x.

I just got my Sapphire Pulse 5600XT a month or so ago. I still plan to upgrade to a 6800XT but I knew I’d be waiting a little while until they’re in stock.
@@kennethd4958 Same thought process almost. I knew I wasn't gonna get one any time soon so I jumped on the offer! I also picked up an R5 2600 for $160 at the same time. Leaves me a good amount of room to upgrade when the 5000s stock levels normalize.

Bad Username Creator I was very disappointed
Nvidia did this so much better, even with postponing the embargo lift they still had a full day between benchmarks and the launch date. I still failed to get one but with AMD I dont even know if I want to try and get one.

you can simply use a C to DP cable or plug adapter, basically no different to DVI HDMI, the only thing needed in the adapter is a little chip to switch the links and tell the port that it wants a raw DP signal to be sent (it will be seen in device manager as a "USB C dongle" on the USB 2.0 link, nothing more)

The Sledge is pretty useful cause in the mid the fan spins in the other direction to pull air in and the other two push it out. The Sledge directs the airflow so it doesnt escape from the mid.

I'm still impressed with how well my RX480 performs. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when I upgrade to an RX6800/XT.
Still an amazing 4 year old GPU, im still rocking a 570, pricing and availability has been rough, was eyeing a rtx 2060 I've seen on discount as a potential upgrade but I think I'll wait another 3 months or so and see what transpires
Lol I just sold my old pc with my rx480 that only had 4gb vram. Cant wait to experience the 6800xt in my new build (hopefully)
While obviously not the best example, with Assassins' Creed Valhalla not being able to hit 1080p 60 fps avg at any settings on an RX 480/580 and the new consoles having effectively the performance of a 2080 Super to 2080 Ti, I believe the writing is on the wall for the Polaris cards. Sure there will be plenty of games that run great on it for awhile, but it's days as a "runs 1080p60 at high on a budget" king are numbered.

The 5700 XT is 1yr and 4months old, I own one, I bought it the end of last month and I ain't going to upgrade cos I already did from a RX 590. Most people don't have that money to spend to upgrade if they have splashed it on the 5700 Series GPU's.
I don't want to argue with anyone I just think that it's not right to say that. Jay possibly said it without thinking.

@@munkingu3600 Bro just saying, but thats your fault. One you bought a old gen when you knew new cards were coming out. Two even if they werent you bought a underperforming card for the budget. At that 400-500$ price point i would've gotten a 1080ti or waited for a 3070. When he says its time to upgrade its because the card was underperoming even compared to 10 series GPU. like even side by side against the 1070ti its only 11 percent faster. Then when we compare it to a 1080ti which on the used market is going for 400-500. it is 25% faster than than the 5700xt. Which isnt to say it is not a good card, because it is. However if overall PC power was the goal, then it does fall short in its current price market.

I have a couple of 5700xts recently purchased for our computers. Quite happy with their performance. But I only game at 1080P so meh.. Some day I expect to move to 1440P.. that day isn't soon though..

@@chriswright8074 It trades blows with the 2070 Super, not the 2080Ti. There's only a couple benchmarks that favor AMD so heavily and are not indicative of real world performance.
@saa saa and for most gamers thats perfrctly fine. A 580 8gig or a 1660ti is more than they need... so a 5700 is great. Should be a bit cheaper by now though. Thats my only complaint.

Yeah this is probably a non issue for most people. Usb c to DisplayPort adapters are no more expensive that a similar quality DisplayPort cable from what I can find. Maybe a minor annoyance for some people who need to buy an adapter, unless AMD include one in the box.
@@bhfootballer26 That, and hopefully AMD put a full USB controller on the card too :) (This is a huge win for anyone passing through Big Navi to a virtual machine; your virtual machine effectively gets a USB controller for free too, which frees up system resources. I know friends who do the same thing with Turing cards)
DisplayPort itself (as of at least v1.2) allows monitor daisy chaining, so it should actually be possible to run 3 monitors from just one DP. Or, more commonly (since that kind of DisplayPort monitor is rare), you can get a DP splitter. This caps the resolution you can use on the screens, because they have to share bandwidth.
@@jbucata exactly. Most people have secondary monitors that are 1080p. You can just have your main monitor on its own displayport and have up to 3 1080p secondaries on a hub
