My favorite thing about Jay is that he is the hardest on the companies he loves the most. He loves EK and it's a giant slap in the face to him that the cables aren't sleeved. And he's right. You pay hundreds of dollars for premium water cooling gear and then they don't sleeve the cables.
I spent over $700 when I built my first loop....it's not a cheap venture as we all know. Good on Jason for letting them have it!!

It goes into sleep mode if idle for so long and has a chiller on the bottom of the gas that releases freon sperts into the bottom fans at 10% speed into the case. I always do my own wiring, so I don't want to pay extra for sleeved cables that I'm not using.. Jay, early October 2020: Don't buy computer parts right now, it's a bad time. AMD, Intel and Nvidia have new products that will debut before the end of the year, wait for the market to settle down so you can get the best bang for the buck.
Also Jay, early October 2020: Today we're going to build my new gaming rig....
Sometimes I don't think influencers realize how these decisions effects the casuals/noobs looking for ideas on a new build.
He's not wrong though, you should wait.
I was going to build a new PC for Cyberpunk earlier this year (before it was delayed), but since it got delayed I went all summer without a new PC, and now that new stuff is coming as late as December (rumored 3080/20GB and 3070/16GB as well as AMD GPUs/CPUs), it's making me wait even longer... and it's not getting any easier, but I am happy I'll have a 3070 instead of a 2070, currently rocking a GTX 970m (gaming laptop from 2014/15).
He got early access to these parts tho.
Jay has more than likely had this stuff sitting around for while now (other than the 3090). We are in a bit of a lull at the moment with the last major hardware release being the 3080/3090 last month so he has to do something to fill in the time until AMD announces (and releases) the 6000 series of GPUs and the release date for the 5000 series of CPUs. A PC build is good for that.

Wouldn't have more sense to put the radiator on the top, and use the front as air intake for the graphics card? That way you could use the block/pump without colliding with any radiator in front.
J making sense? never
I think you have a point. If you're not going to water cool the gpu then you want as fresh and cool air as possible in the front air intake . From other videos and my own personal experience the 3090 runs HOT unless you have lots of cool air flowing into your case.
If I had a warehouse full of stuff and every OEM on speed dial willing to send me their stuff overnight .. yeah I'd build as my mood dictated .. why not?!

Top mount the rad as exhaust and have 3 intake fans in the front and turn the rear exhaust into a rear intake for the rad. You could use the pump res combo then and have a positive air pressure case. For rear intake filtering just take one of the many unused magnetic filters and cut down to size with scissors and slap it on the back over the fan holes. You will get very slightly raised temps for the CPU but lower temps on the GPU this way while maintaining positive airflow so the filters collect dust rather than everything inside the case.
I wanna see what EK is gonna do for the FE water block. It sounds like they’re doing something really unique for it. Almost makes me want to go 3080 just for that.
Jay: Peeks his head over the box for the case

Real Carbon fiber backing plate. It looks insane (the twills in the carbon fiber reflect the light in different ways so it takes on the colour of the RGB but keeps the pattern and looks amazing)
You might be able to put that water block on the top of the PSU shroud. You might have to cut a hole for the pump to drop down in. Not sure if the water block will work in that orientation, but just an idea.

Jay, for a clean vertical GPU setup, you might want to try and get your hands on the GPU bracket and cable that is sold by InWin. It's well made and rests on the very bottom of the case, there by giving you more room in the case, not to mention a better placement, and no more sagging of the video card. Jay, why don't you just mount the reservoir to the top of the case? (assuming the rad with the vents will not fit to the top) You actually do not need fans there, the 360x120 radiator with 3 vents will be enough in the front, and you have also space for 3 vents at the back.
Or maybe the reservoir could go to the back of the case?
