You know you drive a mini when you look back at it everytime you park with stars in your eyes.
Facts!
I do it every time with my mini and my camaro
You speaking straight facts
I literally do that every time I get home.
This right here^
I really like the methanol setup !! Everything you did was right on the money . The video was also well made .
Thank you, much respect! Unfortunately I installed the meth setup before I started creating videos. I would have loved to show the step by step process.
this dude know what he's talking about...can't wait to check out what's next from his mini. the way he lays it all out make you want to start upgrading tomorrow 😄. THANKS
Yes, start with the upgrades asap. Lol
Love this my friend. I already have coilovers (need to adjust) and an oil catch. The boost gauge would be helpful. Sometimes I feel it but don’t hear it. Nice to know it’s doing its job. I just got the car and I’m psyched to learn more about how to maximize. Thanks again.
Yea definitely, you won't regret installing a boost gauge. You get that extra reminder that you are driving a turbo car. Thanks for watching!
As sophisticated as it is serious, yet subtle and professional grade. Wow!
Much respect, I appreciate you taking the time out to acknowledge my work!
Great video sir! About to pick up an 2012 r55. I’m sure the same applies, great info.
Very helpful tips! Just bought a 2013 S and will start making some of these upgrades especially the water temp gage. Thank you!
Welcome the the Mini club! Yea, the water temp is a good mod.
Is this good to drive across country back to back?
great video. just got a 2011s and gonna add that catch can filter out of the gate, and also like the coilovers....those address two of my biggest concerns. the intake buildup is a common problem from what i've read, and that filter is a very straightforward, low cost remediation. thank you sir
Much respect! Yes, a oil catch can is definitely worth it.
Awesome video bro great information in the progress of purchase ing a turbo s thanks for the info don’t stop looking forward to see more
Thanks for watching! Yea, I got more Mini videos coming.
I really enjoyed your video, it gave me good direction and options thank you 😎🔥💯
I'm happy you got value from it. Thanks for watching!
Very well presented.
Did some mods to my 2013s. Put new intercooler and replaced the coolant overflow tank to an aluminum one. The plastic one seemed cheap and future leak problem. I like the oil catch can idea may save the future walnut blast procedure on the valves. I think this 2013 is less a problem.
I haven't had any problems yet with my coolant overflow tank. Yes, the oil catch can is a great mod. The N18 motor are a little better but they still share some of the issues with the N14.
Really great video - love the production value. New 2012 Cooper S owner just looking for a fun casual riding Mini - out of all the modifications you have mentioned, which ones would you recommend for to improve the ride quality and performance of the mini while ensuring the engine longevity?
Nice mod list! I never thought about the meth addition to a F56!
Thanks! Yea, meth will always be a benefit.
I don't know man
I have a r56 s too
I have really weird feelings about the car
What you did on yours is what everybody always wants
U know I can't describe it.
I love it. But I don't know what it needs.
For its price range it's so good on the one side. It really feels like a BMW. On the other side it could be a bit more civic or focus RS or golf R. This is really weird. I will never modify it cause I don't know in which direction it wants to vibe.
Nice vid ma hustler!
Yes, they are fun little cars. Definitely know what direction you want to go before modifying.
It is a bmw
Some very nice and useful performance upgrades. 👍🏾
Much respect! 👍🏽
Props man, clean mini ! Very inspirational.
Thanks man, much respect!
Yes! Great video. Keep these coming 🤓
Thank you! Yes, sure will.
Great video !! I'm looking to do the AEM meth kit I wish you did an install video on this I can't find one anywhere for the r56 I have a bigger turbo, stage 2 tune , catless down pipe, catback exhaust , intake , CAE short shifter to name a few . I think this will top it of for the engine mods. I was thinking for forging the engine but, that will probably be more then the car is worth . I'm content with a 200+ hp go kart.
Thanks for these tips. Well done video.
I'm happy you got value from this. Thanks for watching.
Love the upgrades. Just bought a 2011 mini cooper S for my daughter. That lil car got some whip in it!!! Do u do all ur own work? Def interested to install a water temp gauge. Crazy that mini doesn’t have one. I see that u are located in NY… Cool to know if u consider helping on how to put in some of the upgrades.
Good video! I am new to owning a Mini. Came across a blown 2012 R56 base model for $500. I have put almost $4K into it total. It's a blast! Coil overs sound like what I need next, for driving fun. Power is decent for a base model, I put 0.5mm larger pistons (non turbo pistons). I still get a P00BD (Mass Flow Sensor) check engine light. I believe it's in the Vanos timing. Has a fluctuation at 2900 rpm. I've had Mini and another shop going over it, and they can't find the problem. Oh well, this is partly why I bought it, for satisfaction after fixing it. I think I need the water temp like you, and I really wanted to know oil pressure but cannot find one for non-turbo R56... Thanks again!
Welcome to the Mini club! Yes coilovers will make the car feel plated, get one that has adjustable dampening if you can. Your car does not have a oil pressure sensor switch?
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds Yes it does have the oil pressure switch. My son tried to buy (my Christmas present) me a fitting to allow both the switch and another sending unit, but it was for an turbo (S). The website said it was for the N16 non S model, but there is not enough height for this new (taller) splitter to fit. N16 non turbo needs it to come out the front of the motor. Just not enough space above stock Oil pressure switch. The N16 has a variable oil pressure pump to save on gas (lower pressure at idle). I wanted confirmation the oil pump was working properly since I did not replace that in the re-build. Wow what a learning curve to order parts for Mini. It had a blown head gasket, mixed antifreeze with the oil, and mostly just overheated because water pump, coolant pipe and engine block had oily muddy sludge blocking coolant. Over heated, blew head gasket, and stopped motor. Heater core and radiator had no signs of that oily mud. Now my only issue is Check engine light comes on because of P00BD code (Mass Airflow Sensor), but it pops the code usually within 3 minutes of starting the car, and around 2900 rpms. It's confirmed the short term fuel trim shuts off injectors very briefly (always around 2800 rom) making it feel like a misfire, but it's not. I think the Vanos timing may not be stable, allowing some +- fluttering confusing the ECU. It's really hard to diagnose. I heard there is a Vanos alignment (?) (it measures the range of movement) that can be done with an Autel diag tool. My son is mechanic so he access to that. I'll try that next. thanks for reading my ramblings.
Oh and I hear you on finding coil overs that can be adjusted for the dampening. My son has coil overs on his Jetta, and I like that has no roll going into turns, but I feel every bump!
Love your camera angle inside your car. It helps me to see how a turbo performs, and seeing what other people do to their car.
My re-built N16 non turbo gets 42.5 MPG on last long trip. So I did something right.
Oh, I see. You can test the oil pressure with a Oil Pressure Tester. Remove the pressure switch, connect the tester and read the psi at engine idle and also at higher rpm's. Also remember that the car will notify with the warning light, if the oil pressure gets lower than what is expected. Yes, go get the Vanos checked out, it works with oil pressure as well. 42 MPG is decent, I've never seen that. lol
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds Yeah I should just get a decent oil pressure tester. I did get 42mpg from Mini's computer, but my MPH is not quite accurate. When speedometer says 70, I am really doing 65. So even if it calculate mpgs a little higher than it should, I was still impressed. I can go close to 550 miles on a tank. On my last 9.5 hour road trip (585 miles), I thought I could almost make it on one tank without stopping (if I had too). I'll post the results after having Vanos Adaptation done. I learned about Vanos Adaptation in this RUclips video ruclips.net/video/GAR_Ai-XPjw/видео.html . Thanks again.
@@KirkReed I think all Minis are 5 mph off, it has to do with regulations in Europe.
Love your craftiness. Really well done, both car and video. 👍👍
Thank you!
Great video. Thanks for your work.
Thank you!
Just got a 2010 S with 78k miles on it. I was planning on hooking this fun car up, but my Timing Chain went within 2 weeks of getting the car. In the process of buying the tools and timing chain kit to replace it myself. New water pump while the engine is tore apart, and Maybe an upgraded coolant system.
Cool. Yea, once you address the maintenance issues, then you'll have fun modifying and driving the Mini.
Does this car still run? That was a lot of water like fluid in the catch can. It didn't really look like oil. Is the catch can intercepting the meth before it can clean the valves? I would love to see a borescope in the intake tract to see how good this works.
Brother, your info is spot on and are definite must installs for a Mini owner, maybe not the meth injection, but if you know what your doing, it too can be a great addition. I own a 2013 S with the N18 motor 6-speed manual and I'm in the process of doing all these upgrades. Mine is a daily driver that gets 36+ MPG stock. looking forward to more mileage and power with the mods and a tune.
Oh, cool. It will be a fun project. I never see those MPG, lol you must do a lot of highway driving. Once you do all these mods and tune the car, you will be tempted by the gas pedal, which will result in lower MPG.
Great video very informative. I was wondering if you ever addressed coolant leaks? I can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong with mine.
The thermostat is a common failure, which leaks. Where do you see the coolant leaking?
Oakdale long Island!!! I know that road...great video man !
Yes, long island for sure, you got it. Thanks for watching!
What size tires you have on those rims or do you know what’s the widest tire that would fit
I really enjoyed your video, thank you.
I'm happy you got value from my video, thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed your videos and your prompt reply on the oil catch can but I have another question when you add the inner cooler aftermarket pipes does it give you a check engine light thank you in advance
Thank you. No, you will not get a check engine light for upgrading the charge pipes or the intercooler.
Great mods imma do these to mine bro
Yea, for sure! You won't regret any.
Yo I wish you were around Massachusetts cause all these upgrades sound like a must!
Yea, you'll definitely appreciate these upgrades if you're into performance.
Would a oil catcher be beneficial on a Diesel too or is it just for petrol?
Great video!
Thank you!
Do you have a video installing the catch can
Good set up going ..I'm running a 2010 r56 jcw with Alta stage 3 tune jcw cold air intake ,Gp2 exhaust , jcw suspension with the front and rear sway bars ,Gp2 6 piston break kit and the upgraded Ko3 42mm turbo it's a go cart for the street can't have more fun than a Mini
Yea, Mini's are definitely fun to drive. How much hp are you making? Roughly speaking
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds maybe around 240 at the wheels which is more than enough for street use 😁
Thank you, well done.
Much, respect!
Great video young man
Much respect!👍🏽
Great Video.... THX BR from Germany
Much respect and shout out to all German viewers!
Wish you included links to parts used!
Love the upgrades!! thanks...it sounds so good! what exhaust do you have?
Thanks! Stock exhaust with 2nd cat delete.
what oil do you use?
Good info mate but keep the speeding to the race track. Its fun and safe.
i thought this too.. big revs through a residential area... not cool
Nice video I did something similar to my r56 as well
Thanks! Yea, these are nice cars
New subscriber.....I will be picking up a R56 Mini Cooper S this weekend for cheap. I'm not sure if I'll keep it but we shall see.
Welcome to the Crafty family! They are fun little cars.
What size wheels/tire and offset you have?
Where ever you are at looks really nice . Looks like Indiana or Illinois. I'm in Vegas all we have is desert scenery.
Lol, This was actually shot in suburban New York.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds Very nice surroundings . I was in Indianapolis and it looks very similar.
@@ianreed4636 Oh ok, that's far from here. I've never been to Illinois actually. Lol
I really like what you did with temp and boost gauges. Also the the methanol set up really impressed me. Are you in in Down state NY. Would love to see your car in person. Im driving a R55 with a stage two tune.
Temp gauge is a must for me, still wondering why they didn't make the car with one. Yes, I'm down state NY. How does your car run with the stage 2 tune?
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds It runs good, However Im getting a hi Temp engine light. Im probaly going to get rid of the plastic radiator and go with a larger capacity radiator
Great vids thank you
Thanks for checking out my vids!
Thanks for the video! I’ve been trying to find advice on the best things to do to the mini and this one is the most unique. I want to prolong the life of my engine, so things like the oil catch are exactly what I’m looking for. What would your upgraded engine look like if based purely on strength?
I'm happy you got value from this video! The stock rods and pistons are the weak point on this motor. I plan to install forged rods and pistons, also upgrade the valves. I'm currently running ARP head studs.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds thanks for the advice! I’m gonna wait for them to start giving me issues first, but as soon as I have an indication they are- I’m gonna upgrade. Looking forward to more videos! 🙏
hello, hate to start a thread on an aging vid but I just had to ask about your suspension as I have the same one. You stated you have had yours for 4 years so I was curious if you ever have had axle issues with vibrations coming through the steering wheel or the frame, I am running mine for about a year now and I feel it is the axles. If you did have some issues with suspension please explain your resolve.
Nah, I never had any issue with the suspension making any noise. I still have the Mini, I just don't drive it as much.
love the chirp at 9:13
Yea, she will definitely chirp from 1st to 2nd. Lol
Hey man, what size water sensor adapter did you get? And did you have the link for the gauge pod holder you used?
The link for the adapter is in the description. The gauge pod that's in the center is custom made, I'm going to make some more and put on my website for sale.
Hi! Where did you get those "fender extensions" (seen at 08:53)??
They are mud flaps, I got them from the dealer.
I have r56 s as well cool car for the city make the big one crazy but since i make it catless i have only problem i push it too much as well but i think this car is for this otherwise i should take normal one and drive with 50km 😀
Like your mini what is the best air intake to put on a 2012 Cooper S n exhaust to keep it legal to pass smog in California
I'd recommend the K&N or the AEM air intake. The r56 has 2 cats, I'm not sure if you need both to pass smog. Otherwise you could just get a catback exhaust.
Does anybody do this work in the DMV area mostly Maryland?
Dude u did a wonderful job. BUT WHY WAS YO ENGINE DASHBOARD LIGHT ON WHILE YOU WER DRIVING? Is it dangerous
What was the diameter for the diameter of piping you used for the hot side of your intercooler?
Did you find the diameter?
I see you are in New York, where, can you do my R56 S 2009?
Love the video, well crafted and just imagine you knowledge and abilities !!!
What plans do you have for your Mini?
Air filter, water temperature gaged, muffler delete, down pipe, for now, I am in Queens, NY
Ok, cool. Send me pm on my website, Instagram or email. Check my about section.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds I need your help ASAP! I’m in NY.. Can I text you or call you??
Great video! ive done or want to do all the mods you have listed, i especially want to do meth injection, if you did it yourself how was the install? was it difficult? and how much was it if ya dont mind me asking
Yes, I did the installation my self, It was smooth for me but kinda tedious, only because of the way how I wanted certain things to be installed. The on and off switch, the controller in the glove box, the new floor in the trunk, to accommodate mounting the pump below.
Just be careful when installing the nozzle, you need to thread tap the boost pipe. It might cause a boost leak if not done correctly. I used Pro Meth nozzle and the ninety degree elbow. AEM does not offer a ninety degree elbow. The entire setup was a little over $600.
the intake aluminum pipe ...you have to paint it black for more horsepower!!!
What tires are you running? I’ve got some Yokohama low profile that feel pretty hard.
I'm running Achilles atr sport 205 45 17
Where did You get the holder
to install the Temperature Gauge on to..???
I custom made it.
Nice! Though you'd have to know a lot about cars to do all this ;)
Somewhat, lol
Hey man, love your mini
I have a r56 automatic 2009 and I am kinda new to the mini family , Im a 1st year college student and I just wanna give my car some new and cheap upgrades since I don’t have a lot to put on it right now, my car only has an intake and a pipe that I found on a junker with some luck, I just wanna know what else can I do and what do you recommend.
-greetings from Puerto Rico🇵🇷
Hey, welcome to the Mini family! They can be fun cars to drive. I'm not sure what your budget is or preference. Are you going for looks or performance?
I'd say looking into getting some coilovers, that will increase the handling alot.
Crafty Workshop Builds , Thank you , well in this moment im looking for some new “wheels” (idk how to say it in english), I really don’t like the ones that came with it 🤣, and after I get those I will focus on the performance. I wanna learn a lot about the car , I already learned some basic mechanics like oil change and spotlight change (cause I removed the hoops around it and painted it) I’ve been learning a lot from youtube , hope I can learn to repair and modify my car like you do, so I hope that you don’t mind me asking a lot of questions 😅 (every once in a while) since you are the only one that has replied back, thank you so much
@@sebasthiantrinidad4435 Yes, feel free to ask me questions I will be happy to help. Unfortunately I did not record a lot of the mods and repairs that I've already done to the Mini. However, anything that I do from now on I will record and post.
Did you notice that you have to clean your intake valves more often after the tune? I bought my 09 cooper s used with 90k and they were never cleaned, I just got done bringing her back to life and was going to go with an RPM stage 2 from Detroit Tuned but want to keep them from getting bad again. I believe the service manual calls for every 50k.
If you want to keep your intake valves clean, Install a meth injection kit. That will keep them clean, especially because you just cleaned them.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds Good to know, thanks for the reply!
great car bro
Thanks bro!
How to do the number 9?
Do you have videos on installing the temp and boost gauges?
Nah, I didn't make a video during the installation. But, I plan to make a video showing how I did the install.
I like your set up and want to do the same on my r56
Hello sir just want to tell you sir very nice video for one and I just brought a mini just like yours also how much money did it cost you to modify the mini I would like to do mine like that I also just put a rebuild motor in it as well I plan on having it a long time only mine is a automatic which will make a different in performance thank you for a awesome video
Thanks for watching. I think I'm roughly about $6000 into the build for parts only, but I have a couple other mods that I didn't include in this video. It will all depends if you choose to go for cosmetics or performance. As long as you keep up with maintenance, it will continue to run strong.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds hey my friend thank you for your response I would like to make mine a little faster but 6000 grand is a lot of cash maybe just a chip better air flow and cooling system thank you sir for the reponse
Ok cool, yea I understand. I didn't spend all in one shot though, mine was done over time.
Cold air intake, catless downpipe, ecu tune. This will give you a noticeable improvement in the performance.
Then you can upgrade the front mount intercooler and do the water meth kit later on.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds yes sir that's my plan I'm not trying to make it a race car but have the speed when I need it it's a cool clean car for a 07 somebody kept this car in the garage blue with white roof again sir I'll keep in contact with you if your okay with it and my name is Eric I'm from Cali nice talking with you
Hey, I have a 2008 r56, I recently added an oil catch can, but I don’t see any oil or any type of liquid in it. Do I need to add oil to the can? Will my turbo have any issues if no oil is getting to it ?
Hey, no need to add any oil to the can, the can will catch liquid and oil over time. No, the turbo will not have any issues, with no oil getting into the inlet. The turbo has a dedicated oil feed and oil return line connected to it, which keeps the turbo lubricated. How long ago did you install the catch can? And did you install it on the hose, that's going from the valve cover to the intake inlet pipe?
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds I installed it about about a month ago, and yes I connected it to the hose going to the inlet pipe.
Ok, cool. The pcv will make that hose open up under boost. If you do a lot of spirited driving, you will notice the can filling up faster.
Does it create another turbo lag problem if intercooler is upgraded(though a bigger intercooler may good for mini's engine)?
No I did not experience any turbo lag. The stock turbo is really small, so it builds boost really quickly, sometimes even too quick for my liking. Lol
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!
@@rogerwang0523 you're welcome! Thanks for watching.
Check engine light on you know it’s a mini 🤩😂
Lol
what’s the brand of exhaust you have on this and how much did it cost?
I have a catless downpipe and I deleted the 2nd cat, the muffler is stock.
Hi buddy i watched your vid now like the 3rd time hehe and the more i get into our car i love your mods
Theres a small question i bet you can help at
I ones drove a r56 s pre fl and it made that nice quiet turbo whistle when going off the gas pedal
Do you know how i can easiest way and affordable get that on my r56 s lci?
Nice greets from Berlin germany
Hey, thanks for watching! I'd recommend getting a could air intake, It will increase the turbo sound. You will hear the turbo spool, and also the diverter valve when it recirculate the air, after you release the throttle. Shout out to Berlin!
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds your da best ma man
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds oh and yours is also n18 184 bhp right? I mean was 😁
At the moment im in holiday at Nürburgring, i dont have my tools with me but i also wanted to ask what do you think about driving with the stock air filter but removing the top cap? Does that maybe produce a bit sound and some good airflow? Or do you think this could be kind of dangerous cause the ecu is programmed for something else?
I'd be concerned about the actual air filter staying in place, after removing the top. Not sure if the sound would be noticeable, I went straight to cold air intake, after about two weeks after I got the car.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds ok i understand thx man ❤️
I was wondering if you would recommend a mini Cooper mechanic. I live in NYC
Sorry, I don't know of anyone. I hope you find one though.
Do you still own this r56? You did a great job on it. If you still have it. Have you had any major issues?
Yes I still have the Mini I just don't drive it as much. Nah, no major issues after I removed the head and made the upgrades.
Hey, I hear a Jamaican accent. I recently bought a well kept 2005 R53 Cooper S. What is the purpose of the Meth and would this be appropriate for the R53
Yea, I'm Jamaican. The meth is to help to keep the engine run cool. Yea, it would be beneficial to the r53 as well.
How much power you running in it with the things you have done?
The car is in low 200s. I can get more HP if I get a custom with the water meth, with its current set up, but I plan to forge the internals first. Then go stage 3.
Where did you get the oil catch can for your mini
The black catch can I got from M7 and the blue one I got from ebay.
Nice
do you have a link or links for the gauge and adapters you used for the water temp ?
Hey, I just update the description with the gauge and adapter that I used. The bracket that I used for the gauge was custom made.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds thank you
Are you still running the stock diverter valve?
Yes, I'm still running the stock one.
What long term affect will the Meth have on the engine?
Addiction
@@lanceboyle_megarace😂😂 bro
Where did you run your wideband sensor ?
I weld an o2 sensor bung on the downpipe, then install the sensor.
Hi I have a r56 mini cooper 2010 I am lost with all those gadgets you spoke about but I do want to know more...lol I do want some new headlights can you tell me which ones are better for my mini they tell me to stick to the original because the other ones will not do great please help mind are blurry and i need some more seats or covers
Which headlights do you currently have in your r56? Mine has the protector headlights and some other r56 have the halogen headlights.
OEM is the best quality but they are some aftermarket headlights that looks good. Most aftermarket headlights will shine as bight as the OEM ones, or even brighter.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuildsthe big eye with yellow down the bottom i don't know one from the other sorry
nice but you do know your engine management light is on hehe

You can check out and look into "RPM power"
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds cool thank you sir!
How low is this mini? Front and Rear? Thank you...
I'm not sure of the exact measurements, I lowered the car to match the rim and tire sizes.
Me jus sayin this so when I get a mini in 3 years I can look back lil
Do you have a link for that phone holder?
Hey, I just added the link in the description.
I have an r56, is it worth to set the turbo of the 56s on mine? Don’t say sell it and buy an r56. 😬
The non turbo has a weaker engine, it wouldn't last long if you put a turbo on it without upgrading the internals. Moreover, It would cost you way more money to install a turbo on a non S. You might as well just get a r56s.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds I know that but i was thinking just a small turbo with base things to get it from 120hp max till 170-180hp. Safe boost like 0,5. I think it could last without much pressure on the engine
@@theosspanopoulos r56 MCs turbo 1.4l turbo is 170hp give or take. Base model can’t be upgraded do to compression tolerances.
How much does all the stuff cost I need to go to mini school! I’ve actually take great care of my car.. but it 2013 & base model I’m starting to worry about it it seems like people hate Mini I love it ! I had BMW Z3 for years it also was great! Why do they get bad Reviews? Should I get rid of it bc she older
I'm in this build a couple grand, never really do the exact calculations.
If you do the work yourself it will cut down on costs. Yea, some people don't like Mini's because they can look a little puny. My Mini is a 2007 and I have no plans on getting rid of it. Lol
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds How is the reliability? Do you recommend a specific year/model that is better for modding?
@@Watchreviewblog Once you replace the timing chain, guides and tensioner, it's good to go.. I'd suggest getting one with the n18 motor, started in 2010 in the r56 s.

I would have ditched that stock catback. They are super heavy
I plan on upgrading the catback, the car is still under construction.
LI baby yeah!! Love this, when you see your hometown@!!
For sure!
Only thing you didn’t mention was seat and steering wheel
How much horsepower did you get with all this updates
Low 200s whp
Hi mate, I got the same N14 cooper s
Just upgrade the suspension and wheels. Now thinking about some upgrades under the hood.
What do you recommend first? Intercooler, catch can, or air intake system?
I'd recommend the intake first. You will be able to notice the difference immediately after it's installed.
@@CraftyWorkshopBuilds N14 really gives me headache though. I got serious carbon build-up. I really don’t know if catch can could solve this. Do you recommend catch can to deal with carbon?
@@daweiliu6519The catch can will help to prevent the carbon build up. If you already have a lot of build up, you would need to clean it.
What about a strut tower bar
Strut tower bar's are good but I don't think it's a top 10 upgrade. This Mini has an upgraded rear sway bar and I didn't think it was a top 10 upgrade either.
The coilovers by its self make a huge difference with with handling.
