The tax bill took away individual mandates. Meaning people can choose weather or not to use Obamacare. Naturally, many people would choose not to do so, seeing as the premiums are financially crippling many Americans. The tax bill cuts taxes across the board, particularly for businesses. As a small business owner this allows me to compete with the big corporations more effectively, seeing as business taxes largely contribute to our lack of buying power, and make it harder for us to hire employees that we need to thrive. The Democrats shut down the government. There's no two ways about it. They don't like Trump's decisions (obviously), and they asserted their political power to shut it down. I guess when it comes to CHIP, you clearly feel the government does a better job with healthcare than citizens. I adamantly disagree. When any social program is implemented it proves to overspend and underperform, as there is no motivation to strive for success. DACA is being used as leverage in exchange for border security against the Democrats, who did not show up to negotiate. Trump wants legal, fair immigration based on the merits they bring to our country, not their place of origin. As for the veterans thing, I assume you're referencing this:

I do not see how you have concluded that Trump wants to deport veterans and military personnel. By taxpayers and doctors, I believe you are referring to particular groups of undocumented immigrants. I do believe the laws for immigration should be upheld, in the interest of fairness to the other immigrants who are attempting to come through legally. And yes, our immigration system is terrible, it needs a lot of work, which Trump attempted to negotiate. Respectfully, I'm fairly certain the vast majority of illegals do not pay taxes. If we could stick to one or few topics at a time, that would be easier by the way. But if you prefer this format, that's fine too.

It is a serious problem right now. And no I'm not using this as a way to blame republicans because democrats have done the same thing in the past.
