I’ve got a 90 LX 4 cylinder auto and a donor 95 5.0 manual. Besides the clutch pedal assembly, would I need to purchase anything else to make the entire driveline to work in the Fox? Thanks for your help in advance.
It’s definitely got a cam, I would be curious to what cam is actually in there, is the water bottle in the engine bay a catch can? And I’m also doing a v8 what was the hardest part or any advice ?
Alberto Reyes yea it’s just for an overflow. Ive never emptied it so you imagine how much it doesn’t overflow lol. Pretty simple. Hardest part is cleaning everything
I just bought a 90 Model that has been swapped from 2.3 to 5.0. I think the rear axle is to wide. Has disc brakes but rubs tires in corners. Also the sway bars are missing. Will regular foxbody sway bars work? Been a long time since I owned a mustang. Thanks

Congrats on the daughter! Very nice video series (and car). One question, where did you get that shift rod, I thought Mustangs were all cable in the 80s. They used rods in the sixties.

I'd say if it's in closed loop it's definitely a cam.
And what is the difference between an explorer 5.0 and mustang (I know the H.O. mustang is factory roller...)
is the explorer as well, cuz I'm certain to the 5.0 in the 90s 1fitty is not a roller cam true?
Great work btw the hatch cars are more likely to get robbed cuz their hatches are popped easily ,I learned of late.👍
6BT_ Str86 the explorer 5.0 has the same heads and intake (almost) as the 93 cobra.

you should go with the 11r 205s ! won’t have any ptv issues and a lot more cfm and a custom cam set up from ed curtis man. I had literally same set up as your previous just with unported holley systemax 2. those 11r 190s are bad!
Boosted coupe i think 205 is wayyyyy to much for a SBE even the 190 was a slug down low
I know this was a while ago but I just got a 93 I want to swap over but the dummies before me cut the shit out of the harness would it be best to buy a 5.0 one online or try to get a whole one out a donor car?
What did you do to swap from the 7.5 to 8.8 rear brake like, the "T" mounts near passenger axle tube on 4 cylinder and the v8 runs it down the middle.
CwasGood i ran a v6 94-95 7.5 brake line on the v8 rear end. It connects at the same point as the 2.3 body. And it fits perfectly on the 8.8 from the 94-98
Is there any other way u can do it or that would be the best option in is that the only year is off a 94-95 V6 with a 7.5 rear ! U look like u did a dam good job on that swap I have a 87 notch 4cyl ready to swap it's a aod car but I have a 92 GT for a parts car I have the whole 89 engine harness everything o2 harness for the t-5 trans fuel lines have to be swapped but I will be doing mine in the street 2 lol don't have a garage but once I get my 4cyl out in have some 1 pick it up I will be ok I live in Baltimore city, Maryland in they are bitch's about stuff like that!

I'm doing the same thing on a 89 with a 90 V8 harness, am I able to leave the factory 4 cylinder harness inside the car ?
U can't use a 90 harness on a 89 car they have the same grey in black plug by the master cylinder but it is a Air bag harness man over were the Maf plug is on the passenger side fender well it has a white plug it's for a Air bag it will not work unless u change the whole harness from the headlights back to the tail lights dash harness in everything better off to find a 89 harness or a 88 California car harness with MAF ! But 90 will not work if u get the right harness u can use all ur 4cyl dash harness plug in play u can even use a 87 speed density harness in pin the Maf sensor into the 60 pin connector!! There's a guy name Tim at www.ponyperfomance.com he is in California sells harness he goes threw them make sure there are no broken wires replaces bad plugs he is pretty fair on prices to do use that 90 harness it's a waste of time man!
