Really enjoyed the video Paul. That plane moment......lol. Your enthusiasm burst out of the screen on this one too. ' I don't need to take anymore pictures, but i'm gonna anyway, because I love it'. Such a great line that encapsulates one of the great feeling that landscape photography can produce. Image wise, the 10 stop 4 second exposure in mono at the end was my favourite. The receding lines of the water on the rocks create some amazing shapes and the contrast is just beautiful. Great use of your few moments away from the family.
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip to my back yard! Your enthusiasm had me grinning throughout the vid! Cornwall is littered with beautiful locations...as well as precarious ridges and points with sheer drops! I'm looking forward to your upcoming videos, to see where else you've visited. 'Stunning' images too!!
This one is top drawer. You know you're in love with a location when you can happily stay there all day. I have no idea where the time goes sometimes 🙂
The Plane, the Plane! Great stuff for sure, what a way to start the video!.. Paul, you have clearly demonstrated, by staying in the same place, under not the best lighting conditions, late afternoon sun moving in & out of the clouds, taking multiple shots on the same subject, by changing up the camera settings, composition, filters, etc., " keepers " there were to be had! I quite often employ this method too as it has drawn me to your channel... :-) More times than not, I rarely regret it! Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose... If the opportunity is there to take the shot, take the shot! I don't drive 2 hrs. or more to a locale, only to turn around because the light or weather wasn't perfect... Bill Farr @ WGF Studio53... :-)
Thanks Paul, my spirits are up at the moment as I just moments ago printed off a 9 x 16 high res on A3+, 13 x 19 Canon Paper in Semi-Gloss... It is of a spruce tree with snow covered branch bows the day after a recent Nor'easter hit, with the tree lit up by late in the day sunlight that dipped behind the ridge line seconds later... Bill...
What a stunning location. I could sit there for hours. Maybe some time I will get there. Beautiful images, too. Both, color and black and white are beautiful.
Paul G Johnson if you get the chance to pop to north Devon, the hartland peninsula is incredible. Went to hartland Quay last year really need to go back and see some more of the coastline
So Jealous watching this, we usually stay in a Cottage in St Just down the road from the mines, alas won't get there this year. Another great place for images is Cape Cornwall, there is a little tidal swimming pool that can look stunning at sun set. It's nice to see images showing the raw power of the ocean and sea's that surround us, cracking images as always!
Another brilliant video Paul, I never tire of going back to Cornwall on a annual pilgrimage and always find time to visit Botallack. If you go back in May all the cliff side is covered in sea thrift together with carpets of bluebells, absolutely stunning. I loved all the shots but strangely, for me, also liked the black & white as I think it encompassed the hard graft the miners put in every day. Thanks
Thanks Bryan. I always think it is a B & W shot but due to the ruggedness, history and the fact it's my favourite medium but I tried to show all options for exposure, colour and mono . Sounds like it is lovely in May. :)
Greetings Capt. Pauldark ha-ha. What a wonderful video, you truly captured the element of surprise, as you took me on a great adventure on land, sea, and beyond imagination. Excitement was surely of the essence. What an amazing setting, I loved your trapeze work. Everything was playing ball, you must have felt on top of the world. Great photographs, I liked them all. The sea was surely a key element, it was giving you so much action. You were spoilt for sure. I loved the colour of the sea in the photographs, it was such a lovely shade of green, it complimented the rustic tones perfectly. Gosh... Old it, flash, bang, wallop, what a picture What a picture, what a photograph.
I always love your passion but you were like a kid in a sweetshop there, fantastic to watch your enthusiasm. I would have been on my hands and knees crossing that narrow strip but bloody hell it would have been worth it. Some of your all time best images I think Paul
Thanks Paul, another great video. I particularly liked the last image you took. Beautiful location and your enthusiam is infectious, Absolutely Stunning - to term a phrase !!
The two 'lines' of water running off the cliff on that first shot make it for me, just awesome. The first shot you show at 60(ish)mm is beautiful, the orange tinge on the cliff drew me into the building after looking at the waves. Ace video & knowledge as always sir! 👍🏻
Lovely vlog Paul..really shows something I love doing...i.e. staying in one place. Some of the places we can find ourselves are amazing and easy to forget that sometimes as landscape photographers with the temptation to hurtle around the corner to another "hotspot" maybe it is me but this summer we seem to be getting a lot of nice clouds !! (as opposed to boring dull flat summer skies)..Love the final more zoomed in B and W image..simple, powerful, works very well in mono I think
Another fantastic video Paul. Really stunning photos. For me the monochrome show the ruggedness of the area. Look forward to see more around the West Country.
Holy crap , some stunners in there Paul (que sound of me dumping my camera in the bin muttering " Whats the point ???!!!" )......me and the Mrs are winter birds and Cornwall is where we head every year , especially Portleven which wasn't that far from where you were . Beautifully filmed and edited with a great soundtrack . As for that "path" with the drop......bugger that !!!!!! I'll just enjoy your vid ta very muchly !!!!
I stayed very close to Porthleven and visited there three or four times. Even took some shots on the beach left of the harbour wall . Love the Harbour Inn and the fish and chip shop was a favourite for the kids down the side street . They cook their chips in Palm oil apparently :)
Paul I have too applaud your work at Botallack. I live nearby and visit when I can, real Cornwall is here. When you return check the tide times and try to ensure a high tide for the full splendour, with a good blow on the waves are spectacular.
...what a location!! Nice video and very nice shots !!! On this place i could stay the whole day..;)...i'am looking forward to the next video..:)..thanks and greetings !!
Hi Paul , My name is Christopher Bunton and you make me very jealous because I live in cornwall but I can not get to a lot of places because I am disabled and do not have my own transport any more . Love your vlogs so keep up the good work .
Yet another gem Paul. I was down in North Cornwall early last year, and grabbed myself some great shots, but made the mistake of not getting the shorter exposure of 2 to 3 seconds which provides the right amount of texture to the sea that really suits such locations. Well done.
Loved the images Paul. Especially the colour ones. There was something very medieval about them... perhaps that makes no sense haha. Great VLOG mate - I always look forward to the next one!
lovely video. Beautiful photos. I love the ones with that building with chimney only. Thr location was stunning. I wonder how must it be like to sit there one the cliff's edge.
Really enjoy your videos and pictures. Great to see you down south in Cornwall. The plane at Lands End airport was landing from the Isles of Scilly which is where we are on holiday at the moment
Great images, every one of them was stunning and impossible to pick a favourite. Off to Somerset a week on Friday and was hoping to get to either Dorset or Cornwall while we are there. I think it has to be Cornwall now as I can't wait to take my mobility scooter along that path at full throttle. As always a great video.
Just found your page on RUclips. Great photos. I immediately subscribed and will be watching your other vlogs over the next few days. You make the video very Interesting, informative and inspiring. Keep up the good work.
The last B&W shot for me Paul with the 10 stop 3 secs, water trails running from the rocks. Although you had middle of the pm light, the sea churning, with the contrast of the rocks still makes a great image. If you are going down there in the winter you will need something strong to hold that "hat".
Great shots, especially the black and whites, for me. It's 15 years since I was down that way. A little place called Saint Agnes. It was wet misty and overcast at the time and all I had was a little Fuji point and shoot. My mines in the mist series ;-). Time for return visit me thinks. Great vlog btw. Keep em coming.
Excellent location Paul. Super super images. I love Cornwall my self Tingley Boscatle , Trebarwith any wear on that coast right down and around the around Lizard Peninsula.
I will look forward to seeing them as I always do Paul. Hope you had a good holiday. I've been back off mine a week and it feels like months lol. Ready for another
Once again a "FANTASTIC" video Paul (Sorry Tom) :0) Loving the walk to and from the location, I know it's not your style but it would be great if you ran through a little of your editing work flow as your images are always top notch. Thanks again for taking the time to do these video's Billy
Paul I'm sorry I missed this vlog last week BUT just watched it on my TV Wow wow wow WOOOW You are in God's own country there Your face just looks like a kid in a sweet shops, it as if you don't know what to look at first Cornwall for me and my family is a very special place. I think all your shots from this location are just beautifully But the one for me is the last one on your recap of shots Sooo jelious that you was there and not me.
Same here, that image is "absolutely stunnin".It's a great location beautifully photographed, and in answer to your comment - I probably enjoyed this video as much as you did the shoot. Thanks Paul.
Hi Paul, I’ve been following the other two Nerds for some time now and after seeing/hearing you on the podcast thought I would see what your all about. What can I say, great images, enjoyable presentation not too technical or geeky, and best of all some vlogs from “down south.” You’ve a new subscriber and I look forward to seeing some of your other vlogs and perhaps bumping into you when out and about.
Top work Paul, my fave was the last image with the tighter crop in mono. If you are going to go across such precarious cliff tops at least make sure you get filmed doing it, think of the viewing figures if you slip 😀
Excellent video Paul. Somehow missed it last year. Glad I'm not the only person who thinks that "bridge" is narrow. But, you do need the sea to make a good image.

Thanks for the kind words Adam. That's my favourite too.
This is insanely beautiful! Brings tears to my eyes :')
tessi233 it’s a lovely spot
Hi Paul, what a fantastic location. The first B&W picture in the slideshow is a belter. Fantastic vlog again.
Thanks Gary. I agree it was always going to be 2-3 secs B&W without the vlogging camera ;)
Amazing images and well done walking the plank
Is that what it's called? Terrifying. Thanks Phil :)
Glad you liked our coastline and that brilliant view ,we are blessed ,great work again Paul ........ that is some drop
Thanks Gary.... you are a lucky man :)
Wow...what a location love the long exposure
Jason Jones Photography thanks buddy just watching your port wen shoot on my laptop 😃👍
One of those places you can pitch up with a flask of coffee n shoot, waiting for the right moment. Another enjoyable episode
You got that right James. Thanks buddy
Thanks buddy. Cornwall is awesome . I'll be back very very soon :)
This one is top drawer. You know you're in love with a location when you can happily stay there all day. I have no idea where the time goes sometimes 🙂
Thanks Tony. I could spend six months just at that one place and still not get bored.
Absolutely stunning images. Love the beautiful colours.
Thank you Denise :)

William Farr top comment thanks Bill

William Farr I’m sure it’s come out lovely Bill
What a stunning location. I could sit there for hours. Maybe some time I will get there.
Beautiful images, too. Both, color and black and white are beautiful.
Thanks Thomas. It's a place you can just sit and enjoy. Hope you manage to get there .
Amazing Paul. The locations you visited were something else and as always you nailed the shots. Great stuff and Atb.
Thanks Ray :)
Great video, the Black and White are fantastic but the colours images with the textures of the rocks and the sea are just spot on.
Glad you liked it Jon. Thanks
What an incredible seascape - thanks so much for sharing , always informative and entertaining !
Thanks you very much :)
Another really enjoyable video of your exploits with some stunning images to boot. Well done Paul.
Thanks Douglas , glad you liked it :)
love it love it love it ---- waves, spray , old buildings - -- last time I found that combo - yep - whole day - 32gb card full lol
Thanks Doug.
Magnificent, beautiful, inspiring images, especially the monochrome.
Thanks Elliot. For me the location and light was always going to be mono on this shoot. I'm glad you like them.
Me and the wife nearly had kittens watching you walk across that narrow edge. Wife informed me I'm never going there. Great Vblog, thanks Paul.
I nearly had kittens walking over it. Tell your good lady that there are plenty of places to enjoy the view without going over it :)
Looks a super location, sea and waves are phenomenal, I'm really excited as I'm going there next week
Enjoy :)
Again paul another cracking blog and stunning images love your enthusiasm so inspiring
Thanks Andy. I'm not always that enthusiastic but the location is awesome :)
Beautiful images of a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Tony. The place is even better in the flesh.

Elzbieta Arno thanks very much glad you liked them 😃👍
Excellent stuff, as always, Paul. Another location on the bucket list. Thanks for sharing...
Thanks Steve. Always nice to have places on the list to go and shoot.
You got some great images there. As ever, you are a pleasure to watch, listen and learn from.
Thanks buddy. Very kind :)
Stunning location. Loved the B&W treatment - particularly the 4 sec exposure. Think I would be down on my hands and knees on that narrow bit!
Thanks Alistair :)
Alistair McNaughton me too!
I liked the last one the most, beautiful shot.
Thanks, me too that was always going to be the shot I took if out without the video camera
Stunning location, so nice seeing a photographer coming down to the south west!!
I'll hopefully be coming down a lot more Geoff :)
Paul G Johnson if you get the chance to pop to north Devon, the hartland peninsula is incredible. Went to hartland Quay last year really need to go back and see some more of the coastline

Great shots Paul, an epic location, phenomenal waves, love it.

Paul G Johnson - You are very welcome. It's nice to be spoilt in the palm of the great mother. 🍃
Wow, great shots there! Such a nice location and you captured it brilliantly, Paul.
Thank you kind Sir :)
Stunning images in a beautiful place!
It's an awesome location :)Thanks Phil
I always love your passion but you were like a kid in a sweetshop there, fantastic to watch your enthusiasm. I would have been on my hands and knees crossing that narrow strip but bloody hell it would have been worth it. Some of your all time best images I think Paul
Very kind words Peter. Been struggling with Summer photography blues and Cornwall has reignited the passion, as it always does .
Stunning Paul. That 4 ft narrow walk scared me too!
It was a tad narrow ! Thanks buddy
Absolutely stunning images, Paul! What an awesome site!

Great video and images, Paul! The color of the sea is beautiful!!!!

Great images as usual Paul, especially like that first B&W image in the end sequence. Made this horrible grey Monday morning so much better, thanks.
Thanks Kim :)

Thanks Graeme, kind as always with your comments .
Another fantastic video Paul. Really stunning photos. For me the monochrome show the ruggedness of the area. Look forward to see more around the West Country.
Thanks Dave. I put a few images in colour as some don't like mono. For me it was always going to be a 2-3 second B & W image as in the last one.
Well done Paul! I really enjoyed this and many of your other videos.
Thanks Vincent. Glad you are enjoying them :)
Great shots in a fantastic location Paul. WOW.
Thank you Steve :)

Another great video. Lovely location and a few nice shots despite the overhead lighting. Keep them coming, very enjoyable
Thanks Simon. I'll be back to get the shot with the Sky I have in my minds eye :)
Absolutely beautiful shots worth going to Cornwall for. That drop would have scared me too.
Thanks Julie. Hop you and the family are well :)

Paul I have too applaud your work at Botallack. I live nearby and visit when I can, real Cornwall is here. When you return check the tide times and try to ensure a high tide for the full splendour, with a good blow on the waves are spectacular.
Thanks Roger. I am hoping to get back there in winter and will keep my fingers crossed for a high tide and a storm :)
Paul I'm a newish subscriber and I'm really loving the vlogs and the images! Catching up on old ones and now waiting for more. Keep up the great job!
Hi thanks for the sub and I'm pleased that you are enjoying the content . Thanks for the comment buddy :)

Hi Paul ,
My name is Christopher Bunton and you make me very jealous because I live in cornwall
but I can not get to a lot of places because I am disabled and do not have my own
transport any more . Love your vlogs so keep up the good work .
christopher bunton thanks buddy . Glad you like the vlogs 👍😃
Yet another gem Paul. I was down in North Cornwall early last year, and grabbed myself some great shots, but made the mistake of not getting the shorter exposure of 2 to 3 seconds which provides the right amount of texture to the sea that really suits such locations. Well done.
Thanks Paul. Glad you liked it. I see it as gaining experience rather than mistakes. When you get to the coast next time you will be good to go :)
Good one Paul, great location. Can't wait till the winter shoot.
Thanks buddy, neither can I :)
Very enjoyable vlog, I'm with you on the high narrow path.........was clinching just watching lol👍

A great video Paul and wonderful photos. That looked really scary along that ridge I have to go there, lol. I'm glad you made it safely. Tony
Thanks Anthony. Its a bit frightening to say the least :)
Loved the images Paul. Especially the colour ones. There was something very medieval about them... perhaps that makes no sense haha. Great VLOG mate - I always look forward to the next one!
Thanks Henry. The comment makes perfect sense :) a scene from Robin Hood Prince of thieves springs to mind :)
Paul G Johnson exactly that. I'm delighted you agree!
:)
Another great video Paul! Love it!
Thanks Ollie :)
lovely video. Beautiful photos. I love the ones with that building with chimney only. Thr location was stunning. I wonder how must it be like to sit there one the cliff's edge.
Thanks kind Sir. I watched your great video of the Cape. Somewhat similar :)
Really enjoy your videos and pictures. Great to see you down south in Cornwall. The plane at Lands End airport was landing from the Isles of Scilly which is where we are on holiday at the moment
Thanks Stuart. Hope you are having a great time.
Thanks Mark. Plenty of opportunities for shots higher up. Great comment as always and have a great holiday :)
Just found your page on RUclips. Great photos. I immediately subscribed and will be watching your other vlogs over the next few days. You make the video very Interesting, informative and inspiring. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Steve. Glad you liked the video and thanks for the sub :)
The last B&W shot for me Paul with the 10 stop 3 secs, water trails running from the rocks. Although you had middle of the pm light, the sea churning, with the contrast of the rocks still makes a great image.
If you are going down there in the winter you will need something strong to hold that "hat".
Thanks Nicky. I think you are right about that hat :)
Another good vlog mate. Its all about the shutter speed. Liking the new hat!
Thanks buddy :) The lady in the shop said I was too young to wear it :D
Great shots, especially the black and whites, for me. It's 15 years since I was down that way. A little place called Saint Agnes. It was wet misty and overcast at the time and all I had was a little Fuji point and shoot. My mines in the mist series ;-). Time for return visit me thinks. Great vlog btw. Keep em coming.
Thanks Greg, B&W for me too.
Excellent location Paul. Super super images. I love Cornwall my self Tingley Boscatle , Trebarwith any wear on that coast right down and around the around Lizard Peninsula.
Thanks Mark. You will maybe like a few of my upcoming videos then ;)
I will look forward to seeing them as I always do Paul. Hope you had a good holiday. I've been back off mine a week and it feels like months lol. Ready for another
I know that feeling buddy :)
Once again a "FANTASTIC" video Paul (Sorry Tom) :0)
Loving the walk to and from the location, I know it's not your style but it would be great if you ran through a little of your editing work flow as your images are always top notch.
Thanks again for taking the time to do these video's
Billy
I will be doing a couple more editing videos in the coming weeks. Thanks for the great comment Billy :)
Paul
I'm sorry I missed this vlog last week

Wow wow wow WOOOW
You are in God's own country there
Your face just looks like a kid in a sweet shops, it as if you don't know what to look at first
Cornwall for me and my family is a very special place.
I think all your shots from this location are just beautifully
But the one for me is the last one on your recap of shots
Sooo jelious that you was there and not me.
Thanks Scott, got a couple more coming up from that wonderful place thats Cornwall. :) Your comments always inspire buddy. Top bloke.
Excellent again Paul - the first B&W image you show in the recap is the standout one for me :)
Thanks for the comment Dave :) I do like that image.
Same here, that image is "absolutely stunnin".It's a great location beautifully photographed, and in answer to your comment - I probably enjoyed this video as much as you did the shoot. Thanks Paul.
Thanks Mark :)
Thanks Gary :)
That was great again Paul
Than you David :)
Great stuff Paul. I always find watching waves mesmerising, think that's what was happening to you there :)

Excellent video Paul. Somehow missed it last year. Glad I'm not the only person who thinks that "bridge" is narrow. But, you do need the sea to make a good image.
Thanks buddy. Somehow missed your comment too.
