I love the simplicity of a foggy morning. We don't get too many of those where I live. When we do they are usually very brief, fleeting moments.

    Hey Bud,
Nice new hat! I love the "Nerds" show. Because I watch it on RUclips, I have fitted an "ugly filter" to my iMac, and my eyes are mightily spared...
I'm envious of your location atmosphere. I gave it four hours on St. Valentine's Day. but all the Nashville environs could offer was flat, grey, dregs. Oh well, at least I got out and, while at large, was able to avoid arrest!
    Thank-You,
    Mike

Hi Paul, hope you are well, guess you've been busy with other life duties as you haven't posted for a while. I just wanted to say thank you for what you have done on your channel as it's only recently I've discovered your work and really connect with your style of just showing what you do rather than teaching any proscribed method. I've been absorbing as much as possible from your back catalogue into the old grey matter (emphasis on "old"!) and am going to take all that with me to the Lofoten Islands on Friday with my new Fuji XT3, very excited now :-) Thanks again Paul

Whilst I appreciate many will already know this I want to make the observation about the benefit of shooting in portrait orientation when doing a panorama for those who might not be aware. On shooting you stated you had approximately 1/3rd sky but on the finished image the tops of the trees were a lot closer to the top of the image. I consider it important to make this point for those who are just starting to shoot panos as you need room top and bottom of the frame when stitching the images in processing.
Excellent video as always and thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks Paul... The misty fog & hoar frost made for some lovely shots. Your demo on Live View pano in landscape & AF on each frame is proof in the pudding, it worked...
Sometimes when conditions justify it, iso, aperture & exp. speed can be varied on pano's too... The oaks in the mist look magical or I think they are oaks!

Thanks for sharing & for the location shout out Paul. On your Podcast can you discuss the sharing/not sharing of locations. Personally, I do get right annoyed when photographers do not share locations with what is supposed to be a community of people with like minded interests. Photography is a selfish activity, but come on, can you imagine a mountaineer, surfer or skier not letting you know of a great location to visit? Certain "celebrity" Togger's who shall remain nameless are particular good at keeping where they are at to broad generalities ... "Here I am in a *stunning* forest in Scotland" ... Yeah looks great, thanks for that! :-) #Peace

It is a joy to see you and listen to that wonderful accent that I have finally decided sounds like somebody eating a marshmallow. I was just thinking yesterday I wonder what Mr Johnson is up to as it has been too long since the last little outing.
Looks like you were spoilt for choice with the compositions. Everything looked wonderful. I sometimes think that mist/fog, low sun, glare (burning out) or a blank sky can simplify compositions otherwise you can end up with a 'messy' camera shot whereas the human eye has picked out selective details. I've been composing shots that cut out foreground, or middle distance or background without realising it, rather than using depth of focus to guide the viewers eye. Bloody Hell, I'm developing a style...(or rambling on incomprehensibly....again!)

Nice build up Paul to the final image and think you captured the scene perfectly. Enjoyed last week's podcast too

Nice to see you out again Paul, good vlog and images. I’ve listened to the pod casts and really enjoy them, some really good tips from both. Who’s that sneaking up behind you 😂

Hi Paul have you visited in Jumble Hole Clough? Only the bluebells and wild garlic will be out soon.

Loving the video you've posted. I've posted a moody snow scene taken near Dobroyd Castle, I've posted it on instagram "pol_macd". Also photo of myself holding a print I had done to proof print what size image these D800E's are good for shot at 1000 iso.

Don't know what third party batteries you buy, but I use Duracell in addition to my original Sony battery and it works every bit as well.

Lovely shots. What was the exposure over or under in those conditions?. I am new to this and trying landscape shots at the moment. Cheers

Nice video...Thanks for sharing. If its not to much trouble can you include technical info regarding each photo. Lens, aperture, shutter speed, ISO? Thanks
