You are exactly right about someone accessing Gmail and not being able to get it back. This happened to me. Someone did that to me and changed all my info so I couldn't get my account back. Luckily I had a backup copy of most of my account. I only lost 3 months of information instead of 7 years.
I've seen dozens of videos showing how to prepare and download files from a google account, but none of them teaching how to restore/import those files to a new account. Is it even posible? Or the only way is using a third party software to read them later?
when i clicked download , it didn't indicate anywhere that it was downloading... clicked it many times and now they say i have downloaded it the maximum number of times
Hey Chris! Thanks so much for the helpful video. I'm wondering if you could help me with an issue I'm having with this. I am trying to download the Mail (through Firefox), and it says it downloaded successfully, but when I opened the zip file there were no MBOX files showing, it just had the User settings JSON files.
@@ChrisMenardTraining thank you so much . Actually I was so tensed .. because it's the only gmail account (from which I wanted to download data ) I have and it contains all my imp. Mails in it.
The emails are a backup but here is how I believe this work. 1) sign in to the gmail acct you want to import to. 2) click the gear or setting icon. 3) Next, click on Settings and then select the Accounts and Import tab. 4) Click on “Import mail and contacts.” drive.google.com/file/d/1JlHo211N4jCZ5t0nzWgPq_dunKmtI8Re/view?usp=drivesdk
I'm hoping someone can help me. I did all the steps, but when I open the Thunderbird email, not all of my messages transferred over. I'd LOVE to talk to someone on the phone, if anyone is an expert on this and can offer guidance? Couple of questions I have... do you have to keep the Thunderbird viewer forever, to view those imported emails? Or is there a way to actually move all your email messages from one gmail account to another gmail account? I need to keep 7 years of messages for business purposes and I've got a new gmail email address. Trying to copy all of the old gmail to the new gmail seems nearly impossible. Desperately needing assistance. Thank you!

Rachel, when you extract the folders, all of them and not one folder, do you still not see mbox?
@@ChrisMenardTraining I still don't see the mbox files when I extract all the folders
Merci
Thanks a lot!!
Will the Mails get deleted after 7 days from the Gmail account ?? or just the archive will be disabled ??
the email messages do NOT get deleted. That would be bad. Just the archive is deleted.

Welcome
What about deleted mails where do they appear?
I believe you are asked if you want to back them up.
What to download for mobile phone.
I haven't tried that. It may only work on a laptop or desktop.
Nice T-shirt
