What a fun day! Calm seas, gorgeous weather and beautiful fish. I really enjoyed this, another one of your excellent videos.
Steve
If only the weather was good this derby year! I remember the first day was ok but the next two were not. Nice kings and an amazing day on the water! Love watching your videos!
Great day on the water👍
Hey Bill many thanks for the positive comment and I'm glad you enjoyed this halibut and salmon action! Tight lines my friend! Captain Zac
Can’t wait to get out and do some trolling this summer!
This is Juneau. If you haul a rock up from the depths do not throw it back. Either put it ion a mantle, or crush it up and pan it out. The rock isn't heavy because it's wet.
6.6 million ounces of gold were taken out of 3 mines. Juneau earned $130,000,000 before the steamships were replaced.
Glad you're back and putting videos up Zac. I see you've got some spices in the sporting goods stores. How is that going?
Make sure you stow your downrigger balls and move the downrigger out of the way when you have big kings and coho on. Many a great fish lost next to the boat due to interference. Not telling you how to do your job just speaking from prior experiences that might not have gone the best 😂 much love Capt Zack happy new years to you and Mary
Hey @american_dane thanks for stopping by and I'm glad you enjoyed this salmon and halibut action! Totally agree - always best to fully clear the downrigger gear to avoid the fish making a run at the ball and instantly breaking off! Great point! Happy New Year my friend and here's to many tight lines in 2025! Captain Zac
Have you thought of rigging your flashers to breakaway? Nice video as usual.
Hey @ryanarmstrong6056 thanks for watching and I have not tried breakaway flashers but they certainly would have helped for the first fish that had a flasher tangle. After landing a 43lb king a few years ago on a traditional 11in flasher, I've stuck with "old reliable" ever since! Do you use breakaway flashers? Tight lines! Captain Zac
@@CaptainZac ruclips.net/video/18Sc_bzD2d8/видео.htmlsi=8D-ncavBAr5ssqsY a little winter project. The breakaway doesn’t change the flasher’s action. Just reduces drag during a fight.
Is that electric pole dancer flasher
