Ol' Darth Vaper at it again out there in the cornhole field. That Darth helmet he be sporting is LEGIT--is that hairsprayed into a Darth helmet or something?
Jesse Welles' genius is in speaking the language of current situations critical to all of us. His overriding message, in calling out the fragility and stupidity of the human condition is one of care and compassion. Counter to the relentless influencers who feed off our vulnerabilities and addictions, Jesse can, in his inimitable style, see what needs to be said and pulls no punches in saying it. Being able to connect with people of all ages is a rare thing. So too, is his artistry in throwing light into dark places. Shine on, Jesse! 🤩
“He needs you poor in the pockets and broke in the mind, if he’s gonna make a buck he needs you compromised…” said every corporation ever. Thanks Jesse, another good one
Love the song! And I at 67 do vape, grew up in a household full of cigarette smoke, was told twice by two doctors that my brain thinks nicotine is a naturally occurring chemical in my body, I hate myself for my nicotine habit , I hate myself for my uncontrolled anger when I was off nicotine (15 years I went without any nicotine, I was hell to be around, I didn’t want to be around me) I’m proud of you doing this song , some people are very defensive of their nicotine habit, I’m not , I’m embarrassed and ashamed, but live with that too. Great song, all true !
i discovered your music the day i quit vaping, i was absolutely hooked, then i see this notification and it hit way to hard, thanks jesse i love your vibes and music
Been smoking since I was 12. 28 now. 4 weeks clean after hearing this song. Also having a kid just changes you. Don't want my daughter to have to take care of me
There's an expression, "You quit 100 times, and start 99 again." I'm not sure how many times I've quit already, but I'm gonna try to remember that, "freeing your mind is worth every discomfort." Well said, man. Thanks!
On my last vape today! Great timing. Now I just need to listen to this song every time I get the urge. The fact that it doesn't overtly guilt me in to quitting, but gently reminds me that it causes so many issues bigger than I am is the perfect suggestion to truly quit.
What made me quit was how gay it looks and how I feel disgust when I see others do it. Like he said in the song, freeing your mind is worth the discomfort. I will say though it wasn’t uncomfortable in any way, just mental. I didn’t have any physical withdrawal. You just go to hit it and remember that you don’t do that anymore.
"If he's going to make a buck he needs you compromised." I've been straight edge all my life with that very thought in mind about "the man." Was not expecting this to resonate as deeply as it did. Incredible... Thank you!
Heard this song when it released about a month ago. Been vaping for the past 6 years, officially 2 weeks clean! 🙂 Really needed an eye opener and this was it. You helped me change my life, Thank you.❤
Really? You heard some rhymes about vaping, waited 2 weeks and decided that those rhymes you heard awhile back were going to "change my life"? Vaping has been a monumental blessing in allowing millions to quit what is actually bad... smoking. Also, Jesse, just because it looks like smoke doesn't mean it actually is. Don't exhale in the winter or you'll be horrified.
