I've tried my best to explain, but obviously this isn't perfect, so ask any questions if you're confused and I'll do my best to answer them. Also, dang, the concept drawing segment saved wrong.
Note: Animating takes a lot of practice to do right. I know General has worked for a while to do the things he has done, so do not be discouraged when what you make something bad, we all start out bad at everything
Yup. Highlight the rows you want to copy, then ctrl C. You'll have to have one row already in the attack animation so you can paste it, but you can remove that line after.
I've got a question, if you will. The spritesheet I'm using has the full character, just in frames of doing things (like running, attacking, etc.). Since they already had that I decided that using the opacity edit option when animating would be best, because I could just make the previous frame disappear and make the new one appear. But for some reason that didn't work, since the old frames kept appearing over top of the new frames later in the animation. (If you need me to clarify at all, I'll be happy to do so)
@@see.ya.in.another.life.brother Just do one, then in the animation editor, when you want to change sprite, use "2", which allows you to change the sprite. When doing this, set the easing to 1.
Yes, there's a "Set speed" button in the animation editor, which you can press once you fill out how fast you want it in the space below. I'm unfamiliar with it though.
Question: how do you make files in model editor. For example, if I mess the X for this model, it will also mess the X for the sprite that it's connected to

This video is amazing I couldn’t find any other video on this
Super cool
thank you trading card game!! :D
You're welcome
Question: how do you know the layers for each sprite for your animation?
Like which sprites are covering and which are covered?
That's Z-Order. The sprite that has the bigger number is on the top.
Is there a way to copy paste the animation from for example, the walking animation to the attacking animation?
Yup. Highlight the rows you want to copy, then ctrl C. You'll have to have one row already in the attack animation so you can paste it, but you can remove that line after.
Can you make a tutorial of how to make walking animation pls? I suck so much with that
Does it matter what the walking animation is, or is it better if it's walking like a human?
@@TheCatGeneral I's trying to make my sister's OC as her birthday gift for next year. I'm trying to prep it
@@sprout_imbored2609 So human walking animation tutorial?

So in the model editor, have you added each sprite individually, or just one sprite which you can then change the sprite of when animating?
@@TheCatGeneral I added each of them individually

@@TheCatGeneral It worked, thanks!
I can't get the sprites on the model thing
Is it a .png?
yes@@TheCatGeneral
Can you see it in the Sprite editor?
Yes It's just when a click add line the sprite doesn't appear@@TheCatGeneral
Did you put a number in the img column?
is there anyway to make animations like filibuster's fast in any quick way or no?

@@TheCatGeneral do you think you could try making a video of how to use it properly?
