Another vote for Gamewright games- surprised you are not a fan of Sushi Go! I love all your videos - thank you for the effort you put in. May I please request a top 10 list when we have company over. Most games seem perfect for our family of 4 but if another family comes we struggle to find a game for 8. Another option is party games for 10+ people.
I think I just need to play Sushi Go with the right group of people sometime. I see the appeal! And I love sushi! 🤷♀️ Excellent ideas for Top 10’s, thank you!!
Yes to all the Gamewright games! My son reaches for Dragonwood, Monopoly Deal, chess, Cover Your A$$ets and Zeus on the Loose a lot. My younger son likes Sleeping Queens 2 and Flamecraft (with modified rules 😁). I see them playing King of Tokyo and chess independently together. I like to play Dragomino and My First Carcassonne with kids who know how to make quick decisions. I usually show my kids’ friends Genius Square and Blokus and they really enjoy them. Outfoxed and Bugs in the Kitchen are also big hits! I personally do not like Zombie Kids-too redundant for me with the nonstop dice rolling.
Ooh, I knew all the games you mentioned except Genius Square. That looks so fun! And it’s great to hear what games are hits in other households and the ones that seem to be popular in every house - Gamewright is pretty impressive in that respect! My kids don’t like most speed games, which drives me crazy because that’s half of what I played growing up. But we all love dice! Luckily there are so many games out there, plenty of opportunities to find a favorite for any gamer 😁
Genius Square is a really fun puzzle. It is so satisfying to complete! I wish I could buy multiple sets so that more than two people could play at once! I forgot to mention they also love classic UNO, which is totally fine for me. And one funny thing I observed with my ESL classes is that the olde the kids get, the longer they take to decide what to do for their turn😅 a game of Connect Four took like 40 minutes for sixth graders!😄 but I’m happy to expose them to new games and get them thinking!
Oooh, an ESL list of games would be really great. Do you have recommendations? I'm sure pretty much any game can work as long as you're getting people talking. Simple rules is a must as well. No problem with games like Uno or Connect 4, I know they're the old standards but it's really helpful to have easy and familiar games in these situations!
I have everything on this list except Bandido, 5-Minute Dungeon and Zombie Dice (I got Munchkin Panic instead of Castle Panic because I prefer the art and the kids liked Munchkin Treasure Hunt). I just put Zombie Dice in my cart (gotta love Steve Jackson Games!).
I didn’t know there was a Munchkin Panic! And you really can’t go wrong with Zombie Dice. I played it last night with my younger son. Always a good time!

"Immersive but cute zombie experience" Great line of yours from this video! Classic.
Haha, thank you. It's so true though! Zombies can be gross but these ones are fun. They hit the theme perfectly for their audience.
@@GameLikeAMother fun zombies are great. Have emailed you for some advice….
We play dragonwood as a grown up filler game. I did consider playing it with our kids.
