I remember before that was a thing, that makes sure when it full renders the actual shape of the ground that it places it above ground. I remember getting stuck landing on an Outpost below ground and not havi g the terrain manipulator to dig down to my ship 🤣
Tricks like: 30FPS cap, 720p max-resolution, and draw distance turned down to nothing. EDIT: Also, no cross play. This allows them to limit animal spawns, ship spawns, and anything else that can potentially put stress on the GPU/CPU

I never imagined a game like this would come to the switch. I've been playing it on xbox but the switch is by far my preferred way to play games; even with the graphical sacrifices the unparalleled accessibility is worth it for me. Looking forward to trying this out.

I've already bought this game twice. Steam and PS4. I get lost in this game for hours, doing the most medial tasks. NMS has a special place in my heart.
Stoked to see how well this runs on the switch lite! I bought the game a lot later after the whole release drama because of the new updates it had. Started playing pretty recently in the SENTINELS update and boy am I hyped for the future of this game now! Especially with the new Pirates update, it just makes me wonder what's next in the update path of the game.

There is a whole big ass community in this game dedicated to finding and recording the glyph locations of ships to add being able to make your own destroys and entire community

Nothing makes you customize your ship and if you like to go find em in the wild more, nothing will stop you from that aside yourself. That's kinda funny I was watching InternetHistorian video and decided to check on No Mans Sky / Hello Games and they announced it on the Nintendo Switch Respect to Hello Games for making a comeback, sticking to their word and building trust back up with time and promised updates

The leaf placement and trees are all manually created assets, as well as the rocks and ruins, and only their placements (and sometimes size) are procedural. in the case of the ruins and buildings, their layouts and contents are procedurally arranged but in a limited way. The birds and fish (and all creatures) are procedurally generated, but by combining manually created parts from a library of hundreds or thousands of parts. The oceans only end up procedural because of where they intersect with the land masses. They're really just a single water plane at the same level around the whole planet. The impressive part nobody ever seems to talk about is their procedural naming systems. The way they name ships, weapons, planets, star systems, characters, flora, fauna, regions on planets, and so on, everything sounds like it has an appropriate name for that item.
Bought this on xbox when it first released on it, then I bought it again for ps5, and it looks like I'll be buying it for my Switch as well haha can not wait for this to come out
