Please watch the whole video and check the Read Me file in the download before contacting me with issues. Here are the high-level steps. They will make a lot more sense after watching the video.
1. Download Template - bit.ly/launchkeymk2-fls
2. Download the Novation Launchkey Driver for your model (Windows) - bit.ly/launchkey49mk2driver
3. Download and run the Novation Launchkey Updater - same link as #2.
4. Save the template in the appropriate directory.
5. Open FL Studio and configure MIDI settings - set Omni channel to 16, enable the controller (MIDIOUT2 must be enabled!) and other steps.
6. Select the appropriate template number from the Lanchkey Keyboard
7. Make some fire!

Be sure you set the correct controller type for the different instances of the Launchkey 49 MK2. Look around the 8:30 mark in the video. The MIDI instance should use the 'performance' version, while the InControl instance should use the 'keyboard' version in the newer FL Studio versions.
Email support@allbangerz.com if you run into any issues. It's the quickest way to get support.
Hey, you can easily link each FPC pad to a mixer track.
- First link FPC to a mixer track, then click on each pad and change its output in the top-right corner of FPC.
- Once you've linked all your pads, click the arrow in the top-left of FPC and click "Add to plugin database".
- From now on, when you open FPC, the pads will already be linked to the mixer.

Jesus i had to reset my setting cause of logo frozen bug messed up my midi set up from like last year from your video those stupid 220 - 225 port numbers if it wasn't for your video again this would have taken hours to figure out so thanks again keep this video up lol....
Figured out how to get this to work for my mac 🖥 . Had to dig through some code but thanks 🙏🏽. I was not trying to buy the MK3 saved me some money. You the goat!

Kymyst thanks for the feedback. That's dope man! Could you share what you did to get it to work on the MAC?
Follwed the same steps he provided only difference is for mac,
1. go to applications
2. Right click on fl studios and click show contents(this is how you bring up the hidden files)
3. Open the file Al Be has provided, then open the file of your choice in notes(free app comes with all macs). Copy the opened file contents
4. Open the launchkey mk2 25 6th file in notes and replace the contents with the file you copied into the 6th file in the novation launchkey mk2 25 folder.
All steps matches what Al Be tells you just some work arounds for macs. Hopefully this works for you like it did for me.

Much appreciated on this my dude. I got the akai mpk mini a year ago when I first started using FL, ONLY cuz u made a video for that controller doing the exact same thing that hooked up the drum pads to the channels. Only reason I got the Novation Launchkey 25 was...u guessed it, the same reason, I just wanted the same small midi controller with these same drum pad functions but with full size keys (those mini keys are just too damn small for me, but the akai drumpads are still superior in my opinion).
Anyways just wanted to say good lookin for puttin this video out!! Idk how long it took u to figure this shit out but 7 bucks is the least I could do for ur time. And oh yeah, fuck FPC. Lol. This workflow method shits on that all day. One love!

You wouldn't be able to appreciate FL Studio if you didn't try Ableton first. Silver lining I guess.
What do you recommend doing if fl studio doesn't work properly with the keyboard in the first place? I cannot figure out how to make it work with almost all of my knobs and buttons
In all honesty, the keyboard doesn't work really well for FL studio. It's intended for Ableton. That's why I made this template for those that wanted it to work with FL studio in this way. Make sure you select the right controller type in midi settings (Novation Launchkey MK2)

@@thisisalbe I have the mk2 25 and initially there wasn't an .scr for any of the pages. I added it in for all of them but it won't do it for template 6 still.
@@DisturbedPig98 sometimes your view options don't show file extensions, they should all be .scr. Try this....

In the Input section (the top) Launchkey Mini should be controller type "Novation Launchkey MK2 (keyboard)" and the bottom one MIDIOUT2 should be controller type "Novation Launchkey (performance)". Same thing for the Output section (the bottom set of controllers).
After this template is used, I would still like to use the pads for my chops, I how do i achieve that and this simultaneously?
You would have to toggle the template from this template to another template. Or use something like slicex but change the midi port numbers. It's not exactly straight forward so I would have to look into it.

Worked out perfectly for me. Thanks.
Couple of observations.
Firstly, FL20 installs to the Program (x86) folder, regardless of whether it is 64 or 32 bit, so searching for that folder threw me for a bit cos I was looking in Program Files.
Secondly, I needed to have InControl selected to get this to work. That might be obvious , but as a novice it threw me for a loop intially.
Thirdly, that organ sound is gorgeous.
I've no idea how you would make a sound like that. Any pointers?

What is a template and how can you set one up? my pads only play different notes in the same track, they don't play from different tracks. I just got this today, so set up is everything and i can't find a video on how to link different controls, just ones where all the controls are already set up. How do you link the knobs, pitch and mod pads? I also have a different keyboard I think it's the mk3.

Al Be, is there any way to map the knobs / sliders? Your template works great but when I go to "Link to controller" a cutoff filter on one of my knobs, the knob is not recognised when I move it? There's a green question mark at the top left. When I move a knob, on the debug it says "Novation Launchkey MK2 (performance): BF 17 18 Control Change:
Not handled Absolute 0%" - it stays on 0% no matter how much I move it, maybe why FL isn't recognising it?
Turning the top and 2nd 'InControl' off button fixed this!
Yes there is a way. The green mark denotes that FL studio sees the movement but it's not assigned to a function in FL. When you right click -> link to controller make sure auto detect is enabled.
How did you get the keys to work?? Mine just have a green question mark MIDI thing and it wont play ANY of the keys but all the other buttons work ughhhh :((
Check your input section in midi settings. Make sure both inputs are enabled.
Wonderful job thanks! I have a couple questions:
1) Is it possible to adjust the drumpad brightness?
2) So drumpad 1 plays instrument 1 in when channel rack is set to 'all' as intended. However, as projects get bigger, naturally I would categorise my instruments so when I change the display filter to 808s for example, can it play the 1st 808 in that filtered rack when I press the 1st drumpad? At the moment even when I change the display filter to 808s it ignores the filter, and plays the 1st instrument that is shown under the 'all' channel rack. Is that how it's suppose to be or is it suppose to recognise the filter change?
Unfortunately the way FL Studio takes in Midi data is not dependent on what channels are displayed. The other channels are still there. The filter option only changes what you see. So in short, no, you would have to reorder your instruments to be the first channels when you want to use your drumpads. It is a limitation with this method but I don't play with filters until I am arranging. And that is a different part of the process than laying drums so I reorder only for when I do my drums and I can reorder easily afterwards. You can select multiple channels and move them up and or down.

That's weird but you're not the first person that said this. I'm not sure why that would be. It was there by default. Let me know if you fix this so we can share with others.
I had this issue then realised I was in ProgramFiles instead of ProgramFiles (86). Hopefully this will help
When I press the forward and rewind together at the same time, only the first pad on the bottom left lights up and if I press anywhere on the bottom row the rest of the rows (except for the 1st two) light up in different colors in pairs. Pressing these pads does nothing at all except change the colored pairs. Any help as to wtf is going on?

This does NOT work for Mac OS. If you have a MAC, use the Akai MPK Mini MK2 or the Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 which I have similar templates for. Check my videos.
Be sure to enable Midi2Out as well. It should have a green power icon for inControl to work.

Any way to re map the keybindings on the keyboard? When I set up my launchkey 25 in fl studio instead of letting me play one sample at different notes it has each thing i have in the channel rack on an individual key. So for a new default project my kick is on the first c, d is the clap, e is the hat, and f is the snare. Any way to change this to playing one channel in at varying pitches as I believe is the intended function?
Yeah you missed something if it'd not doing this by default. Double check the video and your settings. You probably missed the Omni channel or setting the midi controller to the wrong type

this is awesome, but couldnt you just use splitkit preset in patcher and set the kit that way? you could even use something other than dum sounds in it. that way there is less cpu usage and you have one channel that controls a ton. Is this done for mixing purposes ? Im pretty curious if that would be the better route aside from using patcher.
I have never used split kit and rarely used patcher. Something I'll definitely look into

Unfortunately this does not work on Mac. Email me and request a refund via paypal and II'll gladly refund you. If you are just getting the keyboard, I would highly suggest an Akai MPK Mini MK2 which works on Win and Mac and I have another template for that one.

I remember seeing a post where someone asked about the play, stop, record cluster buttons not working correctly. I created script to make the play, record, song/patter mode buttons work. Let me know if you're interested. There may be some other scripts that I can write depending on what you're trying to do.

You're truly a lifesaver. On my Launchkey 49 MK2 I need to activate the incontrol button for the drums for this to work tho? and is there any simple way to keep the drums like this on the pads while letting the keys always play from let's say Sakura or Omnisphere?
You should be able to select Omnisphere or whatever in the channel selector and play the keys should play Omnisphere.
