Glad it helped! I’m not too sure, it’s probably unlikely to be free though. The update is definitely something you could do yourself, just follow the instructions carefully. You can find it online via either forums or I think the sellers of the hardware kit can provide it for your model

There’s quite a few files and instructions which they sent as a dm not a link and it depends on your specific model and the region. If the forum isn’t helpful I would recommend contacting the seller of the kit as they offer to help getting the right software
No I believe you’ll need the 74 version. I got the software via one of the threads on the Mazda forum (link in description), but you could also get contact the supplier of the kit as I believe they offer to provide it. You could also take it your mechanic or Mazda dealer for the software update

From what I remember when I had a Mazda 6 the screen is touch when the vehicle is not moving?
Yes the vehicle must be stationary for touch to work
My wife recalls our 2016 Mazda 3 as having a touch screen, but this one doesn’t have it
