I’m a sucker, will definitely be picking him up. I think Dial Tone as a codename is hilariously outdated but glad they kept it. Will be switching out his rifle bc the one he comes with is goofy with that big hook. I wonder if he would’ve benefited from some modernization, may the Techno Viper projection-style gauntlet with a plug in but then you get ppl complaining “he’s not like the 80s figure”.
@@Darthburkie I think they need to commit to either the updates or the boring/goofy outdated stuff since they can't find the balance for most characters for some reason
@@beesbattlegrounds I agree, they need to pick a lane and stick with it. Either modernize it with nods to the OGs (w/no Nerf guns) or just retro style them all. And I meant to say in my original comment, DT looks like Harvey Keitel from U-571
Man I need to find out where to get him. I loved Dial Tone from the original toy line, was one of my favorites., So this is an absolutely must for me. Makes me smile just looking at him, awesome review bud.

I'll most likely get him; Breaker will still always be the Joes main Comm guy for me, but I'm of a mind to collect every Joe in this line that was intro'd between '82 and '87 (the latter years was when I 'outgrew' toys for good, lol). Plus, I think it would be fun to kitbash a more modern looking version of him. Definitely going to replace that rifle too.
Definitely getting him. I get why they are making a new Breaker but I liked the one we got. Granted I gave him legs and crotch as well as the vest from Grunt along with the Gridiron Breaker set so my man's good, chilling on my desk with Clutch, Grunt and Rock n Roll.
Honestly this amy be the nicest looking dial tone ever. I also want Mainframe. And i'm hoping between thosen two we can FINALLY get a Sparks figure. Also it'd be cool to see Dialtone 2. I'm not a big fan of the character but i do think legacy characters are fun. (and it might put me one step closer to getting Marissa Fairborne)
He looks great. The accessories are goofy, though. I’ll probably be cutting the cell phone hook off the gun, maybe even his old man phone holster off his belt. With Leatherneck, we have two-fifths of the Special Mission Brazil Team (who remain my Vintage line grail from childhood I want to own again), which is awesome. His Sonic Fighter blue and gray look may be awesome, too. You aren’t mistaken, that rifle was his first. Then Super Trooper had a chromed out one, then it was reissued later in the Vintage line.
Solid review.. I appreciate the cellphone gun combo… joe team trying to be creative..I know it will be a luv it or hate it…. I’ll decided officially when I have him in hand. He could have easily came with a drone.. with that eye piece…. It could have been a signal jamming drone or something.. 🤷🏼♂️… How long before we see Mainframe??? I’ll be curious to see how they “classify” him.
7:40 His watch should be set to 2 minutes to midnight instead of 1200. It would be a clever nod to the Doomsday Clock, Iron Maiden, and the fact that Cobra could start WWIII any day.
Honestly looking at that Lady Dial Tone, I feel like they could just repaint the Lady Jaye body in a desert camo and give it a new head and call it a day. She looks like a military April O Neil.
Would have actually like to see the Joe team get creative with this one and made this one a retro version and made a classified version of him with a more updated name and communication set. I know it's been said before but this one seems to be sort of out of place for the line lol! Nice review👍
think they're still using that 2013 version of TrackingPoint Rifle optics that can stream to your phone on a buffer-less AR, somebody needs to hire the Joes an up to date armorer
