even if the concept was out of nowhere, i always thought the villains and their designs were great. I had no belief that cobra could win against joe, but the way cobra la threw them around i thought they might lose to them. (i was like 5 at the time so....). i think more joe fans would enjoy them than hasbro may think. it's the crazy stuff they tryed after that that most of us don't care for (but might still grab as a novelty). like head man. I personally would love to get an arklon and overlord figures!

I always thought Hooded Cobra Commander looked more like those old school medieval executioners. As a kid of the 80's growing up with the original cartoon series, I would personally love - and maybe they could make this a SDCC exclusive - The Viper (Wiper). His appearance in that one episode in Season 1 was so memorable to me; giving simple non-descript updates via telephone about his arrival to wash Barbeque's windows but the Joes thinks it's a cryptic message from a new enemy and they somehow manage to decode a simple harmless message into foiling several Cobra plans, and even Cobra is questioning who The Viper is. The Joes set up a huge barricade around Barbeque's place and when The Viper shows up, he's a little harmless old man with a bucket and squeegee and all the Joes just LOL.
I also want a 6" "Old Snake" Cobra Commander from the Transformers. Complete with all those Serpentor accents. That outfit told you that he had some history
I think we will get a hooded Cobra Commander. I’m not big on Cobra-La either, but I would love a Pythona and Nemesis Enforcer figure. Would LOVE a Billy and Kwinn figure. Would love the Oktober Guard also.
I swear ,out of all the classified figures I've bought/ recieved,only one has not had bent weapons ,but I'm still a fan. But I swear ,l draw the line at getting weapons that are bent and NEON COLORED!! Neon weapons were the beginning of the end for the original line. Hasbro ,we need a weapons/accessories pack !!

Hooded Cobra Commander is coming, Hasbro just has to sell you every other version first. Uncircumcised makes sense, cobras have hoods. The helmet always struck me as battle gear, while the hood was for chillin at the base. The fudgee bar scene is probably my favorite from all episode, but then, I like Bazooka cause he’s kinda dumb haha. As for Headman, why not, DC has a guy with cocaine powers. Wait, Fred is blond? I thought he was ginger, I put a whole bunch of Kamakura heads on my squad.
Cobra La is NOT Cobra. They were to become a third threat for the Joes. As Cobra La was wanting to eradicate humanity and replace them with the hybrid humanoids within Cobra La. This was in an effort to return the planet to peace and prosperity. A different kind of villain facing the Joes.
Yeah, in the semi-dumb but admittedly awesome movie, they created Cobra Commander and therefore created Cobra, It's a bit too sci-fi for some, but I'll admit, they were cool enough for me to get over it
The simple anwser is Cobra's have hoods and Cobra Commander wears a hood. Nothing to do with the klan esp. Because Cobra is an equal opportunity employer- remember Lt. Claymoore?
Technoviper was always my favorite, I didn't think they were gonna do it but when they recently revealed that purple version and Big Boa I lost my mind, so all these characters you mentioned are definitely not out of the realm of them doing.
Another Idea I head was a sort of "Undercover" subline, though some of the figures aren't undercover, just alt uniforms. Any time a Cobra agent was in disguise, Joes in civilian clothes (Barbecue), and alt terrain uniforms, like Baroness and Lady Jaye in diving suits and the same in arctic gear...a lot of characters from either side could have winter gear or divesuits.
@@DestroIsMySpiritAnimalProblem is, they over made her and she shelfwarmed so not likely to get one more version, much less Snow, SCUBA AND disguise...
15 deep cut characters I want right now, my list features a lot of ninjas/females but I find them interesting: 1. Kwinn - this was the first actual story arc in the comics that I liked, this is a must. 2. Billy Kessler - love ninjas, Storm Shadow trains him so you know he would be great. I actually made my own Billy using the Articulated Icons white ninja body with the Shoken Ninja head sculpt but without the eye patch. 3. Dr. Venom - as the comics are my favorite as well, the Brainwava scanner is such a staple of the entire Marvel comic run so why wouldn’t you make this figure. 4. Oktober Guard - give me any of them, actually picked up the Lt. Daina a.k.a. Volga/Vorona from the SoCal Joe Show so the next one I want is Horrorshow or Big Bear, maybe give us a Col Brekhov/Red Star 2-pack or release Stormavik with Blowtorch in a 2-pack, maybe Schrage/Lt. Gorky 2-pack 5. Dawn Moreno - I love ninjas and she is badass in the comics, even though killing Snake-Eyes pissed me off this was a greta way to introduce this figure into the universe 6. Pale Peony - A Russian female ninja, hell yeah! make her origins from another country so we can get her made 7. Zanya - her story origin is great and Zartan having a badass daughter would be epic. 8. Sei-Ten - I loved the red ninjas in issue 21 and would love to see them make a red version of Storm Shadow with a slight difference 9. Red Ninjas - didn't like what Hasbro did with the Red Ninja or Blue Ninja so just give us the exact ones in the comics 10. Joe Colton - this would be a very deep cut but if they are giving us shooter then this should be a no-brainer. If you like the upcoming Operation: Monster Force line they are releasing a General Brown figure that has an additional head sculpt and one of them looks like Joe Colton, check it out 11. Hard Master/Soft Master - these two would be so awesome as a 2-pack, the Master of Disguise Zartan has their faces as masks, why not make them into their original figures. 12. Ronin - Another female ninja to the line, I won’t complain 13. Wraith - loved the 25th anniversary figure and would be great to bring into the line as an additional enemy 14. Storm Rider - a Dreadnok that nobody really talks about but is not only an awesome looking member of that club but the motorcycle could really be great for a Deluxe figure 15. Krake - who better to bring in but the one who replaced CC. This would actually look really nice if they gave him a 2-pack, the Cobra Commander replacement look or his original look.

Mufti Destro and CoCo in 70's mall swag with diecast car. Love to see Raven, Cobra Sub Commander, Mara female Cobra Eel with dome helmet, Dr Burkhart. I love collecting Super 7. Hasbro has to start making more big figures BIG, like Serpentor, Sarge, Gung Ho. They need to plan it out and spring for a mold so they can do right by the big doods. Like Road Pig and Roadblock and Nemesis.
Hasbro won't comment on why they won't make a hooded Cobra Commander. My theory is, they don't want to pony up to Bandai-Namco for the rights to put Inky on Cobra Commander's head...
1:36 if you read the comics Cobra always did have connections to Klan affiliated groups and other militias so it would make sense for CC to look the part.
While I hear you about a disfigured Snake Eyes, I agree they will never make one. And I also agree that the reveal of his scars was a big let down in the comic. I imagined him as a burn victim similar to Two-Face but all over. For me, Kwinn is the number one figure I wish they would make. Yeah, he was killed early on in the series but he left an impression on me and my friends when were were kids.

As a child of the 80s I don’t get the controversy of the hood. The people who claim it’s racist I think are just off base. They have no issue with white storm shadow with a white hood. But blue cobra commander hooded is someone how bad!?

I wanted to do something similar to this, but I don't make youtube videos. I was thinking for cold slither they could just release it as an accessory pack. hair and musical instruments. you have to but the dreadnaughts separately. they would have to release a retro zartan that 1) is not bald and 2) turn blue in WARm not cold. Announce the cold slither pack and everyone wll make sure they get all the figures. The musical instruments can double for GI joes band. I said this crimson three pack should have been them in suits since everyone already has or can easily get the first figures. Most are buying it only for the new baroness body and heads. I also need a suit bodt to make my General Hawk for President figure. I hated Cobra La as a kid, but then in my twenties i was talking to some guys and the kitch, campiness of it was really fun. It resonated much better which is usually the reverse of how those things happen ( ie Ewoks). I also began to really appreciate great vice acting. Burgess Meredith is great in that movie. I need a refrigerator Perry, A Vindow Viper and That large guy from the cobra mind control episode, where they were controlling Duke with atari joysticks. Ill take a diving suit/ robo suit Cobra commander from the DIC cartoon also.
The Twins in business suits would be supadope! Definitely all of the Cobra-La characters, I do mean all of them. I want the Cobra Commander in the movie when he was a snake and was being helped by Roadblock.
The SoCal Joe Show exclusives (Daina, Starduster, Monkeywrench) are fan made “exclusive” customs and not official Hasbro product. That’s why the numbers are super limited and why there’s so much parts re-use (over and above what Hasbro gets away with).
Hello. Regarding the Crimson Twins. The image you show is Marvel Legends Hammerhead figure with an extended neck peg. I tried fitting Tomax and Xamot's head on to a Hammerhead body, and the neck is too short. Do you know that source of that extended neck peg?
I saw it in Ebay. This is it, if that helps: www.ebay.com/itm/195654795407 Not sure how they did it. I know there's all kinds of customizers that change the neck pegs, but I don't do that myself. The guy on Ebay is charging an arm and a leg for the twins plus two hammerhead bodies ($225)
I just worked mine with blu tack. It stays well enough for dios, still poseable. I only have two Hammerheads and one each Tomax and Xamot so didn't want to go too far with changing the physical figures too much from original. Sure, they look a bit neckless but in my head canon, they're wearing bullet proof suits like John Wick, which they totally would do (and is totally doable in the real world - look up Hacksmith Industries' real life John Wick suit if you're curious)
I know in the old Marvel comic line they did a Battle Order of GI Joe and they added Rocky Balboa as a GI Joe trainer but after the comic released that had to retract his inclusion because Hasbro didn’t have a contract signed with Stallone, and after the figures returned from Coleco’s Rambo figure line failed to meet projections. But I still would like to see a Rocky Balboa figure from the Gi Joe.

Kwinn, Dr Venom and the Oktober Guard will be at the top of many lists. Mangler's a figure I'd like to see, we're getting a Shooter so why not ? Being an Action Force kid Quarrel and Red Laser would be easy repaints, Baron Ironblood, Black Major, Red Jackal and the Red Shadows could be cobbled together with new heads and Frankensteining body parts.
Great list, I approve 100%. It's pretty simple actually, if I EVER see a Kwinn figure, I'm buying no questions asked. Same with a Billy figure. I loved that era the comics. My only additions to your list, specifically from that era of the comics, would be Candy Appel aka Bongo the Balloon Bear, and Grunt's girlfriend Lola from issue #56. Deep cuts I know, but again, I see any of those, I'm buying without question.
HasBEEN would make them on 3 conditions : #1 , re-use old molds for all pieces , #2 : PRE-sell them as " special " versions of figures you already own , & #3 , Use as little paint/plastic as possible to TRIPLE the profit margins for Ken & Karen Shareholder. lets cross our fingers

You really should explain who it is that has said Hooded CC can’t be made. There is one guy that stopped it, many ToyTubers have talked about it and he even admitted to saying what was reported.
Cool video! I truly hope some of these characters get made into figures. Especially all the Cobra La characters. Cobra La RULES, and I always thought people who didn't like them seriously lack any spark of imagination, and was GI Joe ever really that grounded in reality? That whole plot line in the movie is one of the most original things that have ever happened in the history of GI Joe lore. I think a lot of kids were just creeped out, and maybe scared or grossed out by them.
Yeah, I didn't love their inlcusion, Neither did Larry Hama, he refused to incorporate them into the comic. Buzz Dixon also hated them and wrote an alternative season of GI Joe called The MOst Dangerous Man in the World. But, love the design of the figures.
Cobra La was a great idea, the lore should be cannon if it's not already. I loved tye story. The whole serpentor arc. Man it was amazing. Cannot wait for these
Personally, I'd really like Hector Ramirez, Mara, the VViper, Old Snake or any time Cobra Commander "disguised" himself by wearing a trench coat, fedora and sunglasses OVER his uniform and helmet. Also, Cold Slither and Fatal Fluffies.
Subscribed because of this video alone. After watching from beginning to end, I realized that your point of view aligned with my point of view in regards to wish list requests and comic book takes. I usually don’t even consider subscribing to a channel unless I come across a minimum of 3 videos that I liked. You got me with one.
Several of the ones you mentioned are ones I'd love to see - Hooded Cobra Commander, Billy, Dr. Venom, Kwinn, unmasked Snake Eyes. I'd also love to have an armored Cobra Commander to complete the Cobra Commander trifecta. I think that covers most of the long-shots I'd like to see...though I'm still eagerly awaiting several characters from the main line that are certain to be made eventually.
part of the reason for the design of the hood was to give the imagae of an executionor and yes, the klan, but did in a way it was below the surface.. something most of us can agree is the image of evil. think about when the comics were designed, the cartoons didnt even use bullets.. genx was raised soft.. dont say we weren't.. love these videos bro. i miss these days. new loudmouth subscribers..this is gonna be a ride..love ya bro
Pretty Solid List. I’d have to think about deeper characters I’d like to see in the Classified line… I think I’d dig a couple characters from the later Joe lines like Sgt Savage or “G.I. Joe Extreme”, just for variety. Sgt Savage himself, General Blitz from that line, or maybe Iron Claw and Steel Raven from Extreme.
I had a special order hooded cobra commander back in the day mid 1980s I think. It was pretty cool and I recall his gun (a big sci fi looking pistol) fit onto his back.
Great list and we definitely need a Piper, since you can't get one for under a grand. While the hooded Cobra Commander is cool, I love my 1986 battle armor Cobra Commander
Agreed on the executive suits for the brothers. Funny you mention a gun briefcase, the guns they come with currently are H&K MP5K. Neat thing about that gun is H&K makes/made a briefcase that it went inside with the trigger built into the case handle, you just aim the case and fire. Made for executive and political security. They are really neat and would be easy to model.
I grew up watching the cartoon in the 80s, but I have just recently started getting into the comic series. With the little that I’ve read of the comics, I would really like to see Vietnam War versions of Snake-Eyes, Stalker, and Tommy (Storm Shadow), from issue 26. Make the figures as detailed and as historically accurate as possible. Unfortunately, Hasbro is unlikely to do that since it would mean that those characters are in their 60s or 70s today. I guess they could try to reimagine them as being in Afghanistan, but it just wouldn’t be the same. I agree that the comic book reveal of Snake Eyes’ face was pretty weak. If you look at real life photos of veterans who had their faces burned during wartime, it’s actually much closer to how I imagine Snake Eyes’ face should look.
I never realized that people hated Cobra La so much. Finally, understand the people that do hate then are the older Gi joe fans. I am eagerly waiting for Hasbro to launch those.
I think its really about people who are into the comic book. The comic book was a lot more realistic (Still not realistic, because it is GI JOe but more) and the Larry Hama refused to use Cobra La in the comic. But I still like the figures, so I am down for a Cobra La set
Im a comic guy too. I really want Repeater, and Fast draw, and Lifeline. A new footloose as a "land warrior"..I like some of your ideas, But Im betting you now, There might be a Cold slither pack. Technoviper was always my favorite, I didn't think they were gonna do it but when they recently revealed that purple version and Big Boa I lost my mind, so all these characters you mentioned are definitely not out of the realm of them doing.

Another Idea I head was a sort of "Undercover" subline, though some of the figures aren't undercover, just alt uniforms. Any time a Cobra agent was in disguise, Joes in civilian clothes (Barbecue), and alt terrain uniforms, like Baroness and Lady Jaye in diving suits and the same in arctic gear...a lot of characters from either side could have winter gear or divesuits.
I like that. Especially for Lady Jaye. She's always undercover

15 deep cut characters I want right now, my list features a lot of ninjas/females but I find them interesting:
1. Kwinn - this was the first actual story arc in the comics that I liked, this is a must.
2. Billy Kessler - love ninjas, Storm Shadow trains him so you know he would be great. I actually made my own Billy using the Articulated Icons white ninja body with the Shoken Ninja head sculpt but without the eye patch.
3. Dr. Venom - as the comics are my favorite as well, the Brainwava scanner is such a staple of the entire Marvel comic run so why wouldn’t you make this figure.
4. Oktober Guard - give me any of them, actually picked up the Lt. Daina a.k.a. Volga/Vorona from the SoCal Joe Show so the next one I want is Horrorshow or Big Bear, maybe give us a Col Brekhov/Red Star 2-pack or release Stormavik with Blowtorch in a 2-pack, maybe Schrage/Lt. Gorky 2-pack
5. Dawn Moreno - I love ninjas and she is badass in the comics, even though killing Snake-Eyes pissed me off this was a greta way to introduce this figure into the universe
6. Pale Peony - A Russian female ninja, hell yeah! make her origins from another country so we can get her made
7. Zanya - her story origin is great and Zartan having a badass daughter would be epic.
8. Sei-Ten - I loved the red ninjas in issue 21 and would love to see them make a red version of Storm Shadow with a slight difference
9. Red Ninjas - didn't like what Hasbro did with the Red Ninja or Blue Ninja so just give us the exact ones in the comics
10. Joe Colton - this would be a very deep cut but if they are giving us shooter then this should be a no-brainer. If you like the upcoming Operation: Monster Force line they are releasing a General Brown figure that has an additional head sculpt and one of them looks like Joe Colton, check it out
11. Hard Master/Soft Master - these two would be so awesome as a 2-pack, the Master of Disguise Zartan has their faces as masks, why not make them into their original figures.
12. Ronin - Another female ninja to the line, I won’t complain
13. Wraith - loved the 25th anniversary figure and would be great to bring into the line as an additional enemy
14. Storm Rider - a Dreadnok that nobody really talks about but is not only an awesome looking member of that club but the motorcycle could really be great for a Deluxe figure
15. Krake - who better to bring in but the one who replaced CC. This would actually look really nice if they gave him a 2-pack, the Cobra Commander replacement look or his original look.
Pythona is number 1 on my list of wants.
The accessories they could give her would be amazing.

While I hear you about a disfigured Snake Eyes, I agree they will never make one. And I also agree that the reveal of his scars was a big let down in the comic. I imagined him as a burn victim similar to Two-Face but all over.
For me, Kwinn is the number one figure I wish they would make. Yeah, he was killed early on in the series but he left an impression on me and my friends when were were kids.

I wanted to do something similar to this, but I don't make youtube videos. I was thinking for cold slither they could just release it as an accessory pack. hair and musical instruments. you have to but the dreadnaughts separately. they would have to release a retro zartan that 1) is not bald and 2) turn blue in WARm not cold. Announce the cold slither pack and everyone wll make sure they get all the figures. The musical instruments can double for GI joes band.
I said this crimson three pack should have been them in suits since everyone already has or can easily get the first figures. Most are buying it only for the new baroness body and heads. I also need a suit bodt to make my General Hawk for President figure.
I hated Cobra La as a kid, but then in my twenties i was talking to some guys and the kitch, campiness of it was really fun. It resonated much better which is usually the reverse of how those things happen ( ie Ewoks). I also began to really appreciate great vice acting. Burgess Meredith is great in that movie.

Hello. Regarding the Crimson Twins. The image you show is Marvel Legends Hammerhead figure with an extended neck peg. I tried fitting Tomax and Xamot's head on to a Hammerhead body, and the neck is too short. Do you know that source of that extended neck peg?

The guy on Ebay is charging an arm and a leg for the twins plus two hammerhead bodies ($225)
I just worked mine with blu tack. It stays well enough for dios, still poseable. I only have two Hammerheads and one each Tomax and Xamot so didn't want to go too far with changing the physical figures too much from original. Sure, they look a bit neckless but in my head canon, they're wearing bullet proof suits like John Wick, which they totally would do (and is totally doable in the real world - look up Hacksmith Industries' real life John Wick suit if you're curious)
I know in the old Marvel comic line they did a Battle Order of GI Joe and they added Rocky Balboa as a GI Joe trainer but after the comic released that had to retract his inclusion because Hasbro didn’t have a contract signed with Stallone, and after the figures returned from Coleco’s Rambo figure line failed to meet projections. But I still would like to see a Rocky Balboa figure from the Gi Joe.

Kwinn, Dr Venom and the Oktober Guard will be at the top of many lists. Mangler's a figure I'd like to see, we're getting a Shooter so why not ? Being an Action Force kid Quarrel and Red Laser would be easy repaints, Baron Ironblood, Black Major, Red Jackal and the Red Shadows could be cobbled together with new heads and Frankensteining body parts.

Great list, I approve 100%. It's pretty simple actually, if I EVER see a Kwinn figure, I'm buying no questions asked. Same with a Billy figure. I loved that era the comics. My only additions to your list, specifically from that era of the comics, would be Candy Appel aka Bongo the Balloon Bear, and Grunt's girlfriend Lola from issue #56. Deep cuts I know, but again, I see any of those, I'm buying without question.

Cool video! I truly hope some of these characters get made into figures. Especially all the Cobra La characters. Cobra La RULES, and I always thought people who didn't like them seriously lack any spark of imagination, and was GI Joe ever really that grounded in reality? That whole plot line in the movie is one of the most original things that have ever happened in the history of GI Joe lore. I think a lot of kids were just creeped out, and maybe scared or grossed out by them.
Yeah, I didn't love their inlcusion, Neither did Larry Hama, he refused to incorporate them into the comic. Buzz Dixon also hated them and wrote an alternative season of GI Joe called The MOst Dangerous Man in the World.
But, love the design of the figures.

Several of the ones you mentioned are ones I'd love to see - Hooded Cobra Commander, Billy, Dr. Venom, Kwinn, unmasked Snake Eyes. I'd also love to have an armored Cobra Commander to complete the Cobra Commander trifecta. I think that covers most of the long-shots I'd like to see...though I'm still eagerly awaiting several characters from the main line that are certain to be made eventually.

part of the reason for the design of the hood was to give the imagae of an executionor and yes, the klan, but did in a way it was below the surface.. something most of us can agree is the image of evil. think about when the comics were designed, the cartoons didnt even use bullets.. genx was raised soft.. dont say we weren't..

I think I’d dig a couple characters from the later Joe lines like Sgt Savage or “G.I. Joe Extreme”, just for variety. Sgt Savage himself, General Blitz from that line, or maybe Iron Claw and Steel Raven from Extreme.

Agreed on the executive suits for the brothers. Funny you mention a gun briefcase, the guns they come with currently are H&K MP5K. Neat thing about that gun is H&K makes/made a briefcase that it went inside with the trigger built into the case handle, you just aim the case and fire. Made for executive and political security. They are really neat and would be easy to model.
I grew up watching the cartoon in the 80s, but I have just recently started getting into the comic series. With the little that I’ve read of the comics, I would really like to see Vietnam War versions of Snake-Eyes, Stalker, and Tommy (Storm Shadow), from issue 26. Make the figures as detailed and as historically accurate as possible.
Unfortunately, Hasbro is unlikely to do that since it would mean that those characters are in their 60s or 70s today. I guess they could try to reimagine them as being in Afghanistan, but it just wouldn’t be the same.
I agree that the comic book reveal of Snake Eyes’ face was pretty weak. If you look at real life photos of veterans who had their faces burned during wartime, it’s actually much closer to how I imagine Snake Eyes’ face should look.
If they got into an Elseworlds mentality, like McFarlane does with DC, then they could do all of this stuff

I think its really about people who are into the comic book. The comic book was a lot more realistic (Still not realistic, because it is GI JOe but more) and the Larry Hama refused to use Cobra La in the comic. But I still like the figures, so I am down for a Cobra La set
