That was a great list. This is my 20 to 11. Greg Staples, Simon Bisley, Marc Silvestri, David Gibbons, Carlos Ezquerra, Simon Davis, Kevin Walker, Jim Murray, Mike McMahon, Ian Gibson
Great video Omar cant wait for part 2, My top 10 in no particular order are Alex Ross Jack Kirby Juan Gimenez John Buscema Darwyn Cooke Kelley Jones Mike Mignola J.H. Williams George Perez John Byrne

I have to say Alex Ross is one of if not my favorite comic artist. I just love the hyper realistic look of his stuff, and the fact that he does it with paint is even crazier. But As far as art in general goes in this field (comics, tv, etc.) I’d have to say my favorite is Alex Toth, his work on those early Hanna-Barberra animated series were great. I loved watching re-runs of Superfriends and Herculoids when I was a kid, though I’m still quite young at only 20. 😅
I love Alex Ross. I have his books and his actual drawing he gave me for my birthday. He’s much better fit as a colorist and/or cover artist. His interior sequential work didn’t fit well for reading. His best work is Justice, in my opinion. His Kingdom Come book should be owned by every comic collector as novelty item, though. KC is such a beautiful project he’s ever done, but his Justice has more edge, more comic book-y look which is still much better.

This is a video I was waiting for :) I´ve been reading Comics for 7 years or so.. my fav artists so far without a special order: sean murphy sean philips lee bermejo Humberto Ramos Alex ross darwyn Cooke frank miller (on sin City) Greg capullo (on spawn) Phil hester jock darick Robertson geof darrow John romita jr. skottie Young Steve mcniven ...and a few more ; )...Keep up the great work, Omar! you got an amazing knowledge about comics...
My personal favourites are -Ryan Ottley -Steve Mcniven -Frank Cho -Salva Espin -Ben Oliver -Julian Totino Tedesco -Artgerm -Mike Allred -David Finch -Jim Lee
His Wonder Woman run is the best that book has ever been. And his co-storytelling work (with Kurt Busiek) on the vol. 3 Avengers is the best THAT book has ever been.
An impossible task...which I was up to. 1. John Byrne 2. George Perez 3. Walter Simonson 4. Art Adams 5. Joe Kubert 6. Alex Ross 7. Darwyn Cooke 8. John Cassaday 9. David Mazzucchelli 10. Steve Ditko 11. Frank Quitely 12. Alex Toth 13. Neal Adams 14. Esad Ribic 15. J. H. Williams 16. Carl Barks 17. Eric Powell 18. Evan Shaner 19. David Aja 20. Jerome Opena
Great list and totally get its very hard. Only surprise i had was Perez being on this list vs the top 10, but i get everyone has different reasons. Nice call out to more recent artists that I think deserve mention (RB Silva, Jorge Jimenez)
Tfw you don't get shouted out :( lol Very excited for part 2! Some of my favorites: J.H. Williams III Alex Ross Mœbius Brian Bolland Saverio Tenuta John Totleben Steve Bisette Jean-claude Gal
20 Sal Buscema 19 Gil Kane 18 Mike Ploog 17 Bob Layton 16 Alex Maleev 15 Sean Philips 14 Neal Adams 13 Jim Steranko 12 Jim Starlin 11 Gene Colan That's mine....probably not in an exact order...but close. VERY difficult. I have my Top Ten ready for the next video! Hint my Top Ten has some of your 20-11
When I was introduced to comics at age ten it was Jim Lee and Gregg Capullo. I was honored to meet them early on almost 20+ years ago and it partly inspired me enough to start my art career. I was so obsessed with drawing that I started to pick up bits of their style over the years. When I discovered the Conan comics I fell in love with the art by John Buscema and Barry Windsor-Smith. I also love Marc Silvestri's early work on Wolverine with Larry Hama. Too many to list! Enjoyed this video Omar!
Obviously romita Snr is my man but I loved the video as I have learnt why other artists are great and sampled some images you provided. I can go away now and look at some amazing bodies of work. Your correct that it's about a lot of things other than looks. Its light shadow composition form just about everything. Thanks so much for making my evening. Excelsior :-)
How to draw comics the marvel way and Conan always come to mind when I think of John Buscema. The way his heroes punch people out is iconic. John Buscema and Tom Palmer inks remind me of Avengers:)
Just an idea, but I think it would be really cool if you could give some recommendations of books where these artists shine, like you did with John Buscema on Conan. Also, 100% agree with a ton of these choices! Great list
20 of my favourite outstanding comic artists in no particular order: James Stokoe Mike mignola Jack Kirby Moebius Juan Gimenez Bernie Wrightson Eric Powell Richard Corben Darwin Cook Simon Bisley Lee Bermejo Greg Capullo Kevin O’Neill Eduardo Risso Tradd Moore John Arcudi Tim sale Frank cho Ryan Ottley Brian Bolland Esad Ribić and Frank frazetta for cover art mostly.
Frank Frazetta did draw series called White Indian, Thu`da, & Johnny Comet in 50`s comic-books as well as some EC work . He also worked on the Flash Gordon & Lil` Abner comic strips. I`m replying to Jordan Trusso by the way.
Arthur Adams was my favorite when I was a kid. Sam Keith was my favorite edgy comic artist. John Byrne was the gold standard. Now I have appreciation for Kirby, Steranko, and Neal Adams.
Batman Broken City was visually incredible. I think the thing Eduardo Risso does almost better than anyone: visual perspective. He always seems to chose the position of the “camera” perfectly, and from unique and interesting perspectives that other artists don’t. This also helps to highlight his amazing ability to have strongly defined silhouette geometry in his characters (Broken City has some of my all time favorite panels of Batman because of this). Really looking forward to the 100 Bullets omni.
This is a fantastic first Part of the list. I wholeheartedly agree that all of these artists are fantastic. From the European Comics Hermann Huppen deserves a mention. My guess is that Moebius will be in the Top 10. Of the more contemporary artists I like Simone Bianchi a lot, but he hasn't done enough to deserve being in the list. Other artists I really adore and might fit in 20-11 range are Wally Wood, Jim Steranko and Walter Simonson. Of course its all very subjective. But I do like your list a lot.
In no particular order the ones I discovered in my youth of comic collecting: Don Newton Neal Adams Alan Davis Jim Aparo Jim Lee John Byrne And the ones I discovered later in life: John Buscema Bernie Wrightson Arthur Adams George Perez Al Williamson Alex Raymond Dave Stevens
My Top 20 Artists (no particular order) 1. Mark Bagley 2. Alex Ross 3. Ryan Stegman 4. Ryan Ottley 5. Stuart Immonen 6. Jorge Jimenez 7. Gary Frank 8. Jason Fabok 9. John Romita Sr. 10. Mike Allred 11. Darwyn Cookie 12. Paolo Rivera 13. Chris Samnee 14. Tim Sale 15. Javier Rodriguez 16. Jim Cheung 17. Gabriele Dell'Otto 18. Artgerm 19. Marco Checchetto 20. Mark Brooks Honorable Mentions: - Bruce Timm - Clay Mann - Arthur Adams - Jim Lee - Greg Capullo - Enrico Marini - Mike Zeck - Mike Mignola - Clayton Crain - Todd McFarlane
You gave yourself a hard task of narrowing down 20 artists. That's a tough one. Bernie's black and white art is absolutely gorgeous. I heard forever ago that del Toro was going to direct a Frankenstein adaption. I'm sure he would have gone for Bernie's style, and feel that he may actually hand in a good adaption of the book. I've been mostly disappointed in Frankenstein films, love the book. But man, Risso is one hell of an artist. I remember it taking me a while to get used to his art. But once it clicks in place for you, it opens up. His shot composition is like a cinematographer. His art has a fluidity to it. His absolute blacks just ooze with style. I keep saying 100 Bullets would be an incredible crime show if HBO or Netflix would pick it up. I remember trying to cast parts in my head. Like Malcolm McDowell as Graves, Robert Redford as Shepherd, and Brad Pitt as Milo Garrett to name a few. Lol. Risso is a good story teller as well. Him and Azzarello really gel together as artist and writer. A lot of people can draw art, but a good comic book artist has to know how to draw a story. Way more challenging than a single image. But top 20 cover artists may be a future episode...
I don’t really have the same emotional connection with artists that you seem to, but some of my favorites include Cooke, Mignola, Francavilla, Ba, Moon, Sakai and Guy Davis. I’m generally not very hard on artists generally. There are few that I dislike (or if there are, I don’t bother with their books so I don’t remember them).
I was honestly expecting George Perez in the next video because you've talked so highly of him before. He's definitely up there for me. I'm excited for part 2! Will you be doing a list like this for writers? The story in a comic matters more to me than the art (just personal preference) and I would love to hear who your favorite writers are :)
My favourites include: Jack Kirby Walt Simonsen John Byrne John Buscema Arthur Adams Barry Windsor Smith John Romita Jr Dave Gibbons Jim Lee Esad Ribic Simone Biachii Steve Epting Todd McFarlane Willie Portactio Ron Lim Bill Sienkiewicz Frank Miller Klaus Jenson Mike Zeck Greg Capullo Too many to list people
Well, we share two so far, my man, but I'd put George Perez up a lot higher than 11 on my list. John Buscema would also be on my list. Not that I don't appreciate the other artists you mentioned. I love all of them. Anyway, here's my list: 1) John Byrne 2) George Perez 3) Alan Davis 4)JH Williams III 5) Kevin Maguire 6) John Cassaday 7) Michael Lark 8) John Paul Leon 9) Brian Bolland (though wish he'd done more interiors) 10) Travis Charest 11) Mike Mignola 12) Barry Windsor-Smith 13) John Buscema 14) Jack Kirby 15) Ryan Sook 16) Bill Sienkiewicz 17) Alex Ross 18) John Totleben 19) Paul Smith 20) Walt Simonson.
Great video, Omar. I’d love to see more countdown videos, or videos highlighting the art of comics. A few ideas to consider could be a focus on your favorite/top creative teams (either writer/artist(s), or artist/inker), favorite artists by era (golden to bronze age for one video, and modern/current era for another), favorite covers (this could be explored several ways either by publisher, artist, hero/team, etc), the importance of inkers and/or letterers (often unsung heroes of comics), etc; Keep up the awesome work.
Thank you so much, brother. You have no idea how much I appreciate all this input. I love the ideas you have. As I'm going through my list of artist, sometimes I think damn, the inkers really don't get enough recognition. What would be Lee without Wiliams or Byrne without Austin? Regarless I will explore these ideas.
1. Alberto Breccia 2. Moebius 3. Stefano Andreucci 4. Richard Corben 5. Mike Mignola 6. R.M. Guera 7. Stevan Subić 8. Gimenez 9. Hugo Pratt 10. Greg Capulo 11. Juilard 12. Ivo Milazzo 13. Esad Ribić 14. Alfonso Font 15. Alex Raymond 16. Herge 17. Uderzo 18. Dave McKean 19. Enrico Marini 20. Corrado Roi
Could you do a reading Order or overview of how the DC universe fits together? Like where does the Death of Superman fit in with Batman, or what is Wonder Woman doing during No Mans Land?
Great list. Can't wait for part 2 Here is my top 3 plus "best of the rest" 1. Neal Adams 2. John Buscema 3. Jose Luis Garcia Lopez All three of those guys brought the perfect balance of realism and escapism to their comic stories. Loved them. Best of the Rest: Jim Lee Andy Kubert Marc Silvestri Ivan Reis George Perez John Byrne Alan Davis Mike Zeck Steve Epting David Finch Ed Benes
I love a lot of artists that you mentioned some of my favourite artists are Greg Capullo , Sean Philips , Ryan Ottley , Mike Mignola and others like Alex ross Jim lee ecc.. I would love to see the same video just with writer’s instead on artists so a Top 20 Best Comic book Writers and I would very much enjoy a top 10 or top 20 best comic book duo , writer and artists basically artist and writers that work together really well for example Ed Brubaker and Sean Philips .
Ok so I read a lot of x-men comics so here is my top x-men artists list #10 Jim lee #9 joe mad #8 Chris bachelo #7 Pepe larraz #6 Phil Jimenez #5 this is a stretch because he has done x-men related books but David yardin #4 John Byrne #3 Salvador larroca #2 John Cassaday and #1 is Greg land just kidding we don’t mention him here my real #1 pick is Alan Davis because man can that guy draw the x-men and plus he is my favorite artist of all time
I was able to meet Bernie Weightson a year or so before he passed. He was a true legend who has not gotten enough love. I hope that Stan Sakai is in your top 10 list.
Kudos to you for even attempting this list. It would be extremely difficult for me to do and I understand this is YOUR opinion but Arthur Adams is up in my top 5 if not number 1 lol You should have him ranked higher! LoL Eduardo Russo is really good like Frank Miller and later Scott McDaneil their use of negative space and that’s why I love all 3 of those guys. Love the video Omar!!
I HATED Steve Ditko when I was young.....loved Kirby and just hated Ditko. Took me a while but I eventually got it too. Art appreciation really does take some experience and time....maturity I guess?
Jim Lee and Sean Murphy are some of my favorites. Batman Hush, prolly not the best Batmam story ever but one of my favorites because of Jim Lee's artwork and while he didnt have the longest run on X-men but thats my generations X-men so whenever I think X-men it always comes back to that version first so thank you Jim Lee for giving us that. And I really like Sean Murphys blocky art style, it looks really good for the stories he does. (Punk Rock Jesus, Tokyo Ghost, The Wake, Joe the Barabarian, Batman:White Knight, etc.)
In no order -Steve Ditko -John Romita Jr -Frank quitley -Greg Capullo -George perez -Jack Kirby -Jim Lee -Mike Mignola -Ryan Ottley -Tim Sale -Rick Leonardi -dan mora -david finch -Mark Badgly -Darwyn Cooke
I love John Byrne and Walt Simonson!!!!meet them both many times..got many books signed to me....My favorite is having the thunder frog issues of Thor signed by Walt!!!..cheers
With regard to what you mentioned about Perez, Scott Koblish won a Guinness World Record for most number of comic book characters on a single comic book cover for The Wedding of Deadpool.
Bernie Wrightson is my #1! I woulda put Arthur Adams way higher as well. He was da Jim Lee of da eighties, highly stylized, highly detailed. His characters just looked “sexier” then what others were doin at that time. Hope your top 10 include: Simon Bisley, BWS, Sam Kieth, Rick Leornadi, Mike Zeck, Splatt, and/ or Moebius. Guaranteed you’re gon have Byrne, Silvestri, and Lee, with honorable mentions of J. Scott Campbell and Joe Mad?
I realize when compiling a list like this it ends up being arranged by 1. Impact on the industry 2. What the evolution is from artist to artist ( could this artist have existed without that artist 3. How many books I pick up just because that artist does them. 4. I am pointing to that artist at their greatest achievement level not when they may have declined in skill level. So.... Steve Ditko Jack Kirby Jim Steranko Barry Windsor Smith Neal Adams Jim Starlin Frank Miller John Byrne George Perez Michael Golden Bill Sienkiewicz David Mazzuchelli P Craig Russell Darwyn Cooke Frank Quitely Rick Veitch JH Willians Seth Fisher Paul Pope
I agree with every single one of your choices, but can't wait to see who you'll pick for part 2 :-D Coincidentally, I started my own series on the same topic two days ago :-D
Great list Omar my list of favorite comic book artists are 20-15 are at 20. Patrick Gleason , 19. Artgerm I know he only does covers but love his Variant covers especially for Supergirl , 18. J.H. Williams , 17. Cat Staggs , 16. Bengal and 15. Eddie Barrows
In no particular order, my top 20.....Neal Adams, Wrightson, Steranko, Frank Miller, Bolland, McFarlane, Bryne, Perez, Lee, Aparo, BWS, Ditko, Kubert, Kane, Wood, Romita, Buscema, Simonson, Infantino, Anderson
I went to an exhibition of Frank Quitely’s artwork in Glasgow. I hadn’t read anything he’d drawn, but seeing his work displayed on the walls made me realise what it was like to properly appreciate comic art and all the fine detail that goes into making it. I went in not knowing a great deal about him, and by the time I left, I’d decided he was one of my favourite artists. Plus, he was actually there himself, although he was speaking to someone at the time. One thing that particularly stood out was a series of square panels created for We3. They depicted CCTV footage and were designed to be read in any order. Frank kept the squares in a raisin box, which his wife threw in the bin, thinking it was just a raisin box. Fortunately, he managed to get them back before the bins went out. They actually had the box there in a glass case at the exhibition. I was inspired to check out both We3 and Jupiter’s Legacy, both of which I enjoyed and would recommend. I’d check out New X-Men too if the paperback collections weren’t well out of print.
Near Mint Condition I know what you mean. He’s very much an acquired taste, but once you’ve acquired it, a whole new world opens up. We3 in particular is some brilliant stuff and shows just how innovative he is.
My favourites are: Steve Dillon Alex ross Ivan Reis Jim Lee Frank miller(old) Dave gibbons Kentaro miura Eiichiro oda Gary frank Frank quitley George Perez Tyler crook Adrian Alphona John totleben Forgive me if the spellings are wrong
I admire your restraint . I don`t think I could do less than 50. The only one I wouldn`t put on My list is Fiona Staples . Good but not one of my favorites. But art is subjective.
This is such a subjective topic but being an art lover I like seeing everyone’s tastes. It can really make it break a story. The paneling, rendering, colors, and PANELING
In no specific order: 1)Michael turner 2)joe mad! 3)Humberto Ramos 4)John romita jr 5)mark bagley 6)Jim Lee 7)Chris bachalo 8)Steve mcniven 9)Greg capullo 10)Jorge Jimenez
Todd mcfarlane, Mark bagley, Alex maleev, Greg capullo, Ivan Reis, John Byrne, Jim Lee, and Alex Ross are some of my personal favorites
Im pretty sure Jim Lee is on every one's top ten. So talented!
Jorge Jimenez 🙋♂️

Alex Toth is probably the best artist to ever work for American comics, should check out his earlier work.

Great list!
Near Mint Condition thanks, I really appreciate this video, helped me discover many great artists.
Man, George Perez killed it in his Wonder woman run. Every time I look at it, I get hooked.
His art made me keep reading the book.
His Wonder Woman run is the best that book has ever been. And his co-storytelling work (with Kurt Busiek) on the vol. 3 Avengers is the best THAT book has ever been.
He’s probably my favorite of the Bronze Age.
An impossible task...which I was up to.
1. John Byrne
2. George Perez
3. Walter Simonson
4. Art Adams
5. Joe Kubert
6. Alex Ross
7. Darwyn Cooke

Love this list.
Great list and totally get its very hard. Only surprise i had was Perez being on this list vs the top 10, but i get everyone has different reasons. Nice call out to more recent artists that I think deserve mention (RB Silva, Jorge Jimenez)
Tfw you don't get shouted out :( lol
Very excited for part 2! Some of my favorites:
J.H. Williams III
Alex Ross
Mœbius
Brian Bolland
Saverio Tenuta
John Totleben
Steve Bisette
Jean-claude Gal
My guess is Alex Maleev, John Byrne, Sienkiewicz, Mazzuchelli, Windsor-Smith, Frank Miller, Will Esner, Jim Lee, Neal Adams and Jack Kirby
Malevolent everything I saw was traced.
20 Sal Buscema
19 Gil Kane
18 Mike Ploog

16 Alex Maleev
15 Sean Philips
14 Neal Adams
13 Jim Steranko
12 Jim Starlin
11 Gene Colan
That's mine....probably not in an exact order...but close.
Thank you so much, my brother. Love that you added BWS.
You’re a real one for appreciating Manga art enough to give it its own list
The mangaka is so hard for me. But it’ll be there :)
Great list
That's a great idea! I will attempt to do that in the next list.
20 of my favourite outstanding comic artists in no particular order:
James Stokoe
Mike mignola
Jack Kirby
Moebius
Juan Gimenez
Bernie Wrightson
Eric Powell
Richard Corben
Darwin Cook
Simon Bisley
Lee Bermejo
Greg Capullo
Kevin O’Neill
Eduardo Risso
Tradd Moore
John Arcudi
Tim sale
Frank cho
Ryan Ottley
Brian Bolland
Esad Ribić and Frank frazetta for cover art mostly.
Frank Frazetta did draw series called White Indian, Thu`da, & Johnny Comet in 50`s comic-books as well as some EC work . He also worked on the Flash Gordon & Lil` Abner comic strips. I`m replying to Jordan Trusso by the way.
Thank you William. I knew he drew some sequential art in the 50s.
William Jackson oh totally, I wasn’t aware of that stuff, still love the guy a lot.
Arthur Adams was my favorite when I was a kid. Sam Keith was my favorite edgy comic artist. John Byrne was the gold standard.
Now I have appreciation for Kirby, Steranko, and Neal Adams.
Great list so far NMC! :)
In terms of drawing perfect proportions no matter the pose, Perez and Buscema are untouchable. My top 2 are in your bottom half: Cooke and Risso.
In no particular order the ones I discovered in my youth of comic collecting:
Don Newton
Neal Adams
Alan Davis
Jim Aparo
Jim Lee
John Byrne
And the ones I discovered later in life:
John Buscema
Bernie Wrightson
Arthur Adams
George Perez
Al Williamson
Alex Raymond
Dave Stevens
Check out Dan Panosian, the guy is trully underrated.
Great list... Yo agregaria a Alberto y Enrique Breccia. Quique Alcatena. También se puede incluir a Alex Raymond y Hal Foster.
Tu bien nostalgico y con el song of healing atras. Esa es una receta para lagrimas D;. Great video Omar!
Muchas gracias hermano! You caught the song :)

- Todd McFarlane
It was damn hard.
Sergio Toppi deserves a spot imo :)
I will be doing a list for writers too, not sure if top 20 or top 10.
@@NearMintCondition Maybe top 50? Eh?
Al Williamson is my favourite. Followed by Norm Breyfogle, Herb Trimpe, Ethan Van Sciver and Frank Miller.
My favourites include:
Jack Kirby
Walt Simonsen
John Byrne
John Buscema
Arthur Adams
Barry Windsor Smith
John Romita Jr
Dave Gibbons
Jim Lee
Esad Ribic
Simone Biachii
Steve Epting
Todd McFarlane
Willie Portactio
Ron Lim
Bill Sienkiewicz
Frank Miller
Klaus Jenson
Mike Zeck
Greg Capullo
Too many to list people
Well, we share two so far, my man, but I'd put George Perez up a lot higher than 11 on my list.
My man! Love this list.
1. Alberto Breccia
2. Moebius
3. Stefano Andreucci
4. Richard Corben
5. Mike Mignola
6. R.M. Guera
7. Stevan Subić
8. Gimenez
9. Hugo Pratt
10. Greg Capulo
11. Juilard
12. Ivo Milazzo
13. Esad Ribić
14. Alfonso Font
15. Alex Raymond
16. Herge
17. Uderzo
18. Dave McKean
19. Enrico Marini
20. Corrado Roi
Could you do a reading Order or overview of how the DC universe fits together? Like where does the Death of Superman fit in with Batman, or what is Wonder Woman doing during No Mans Land?
Whoah, that would be a task, but I can try something like that, I usually break it down by character.
Great list. Can't wait for part 2 Here is my top 3 plus "best of the rest"
1. Neal Adams
2. John Buscema
3. Jose Luis Garcia Lopez
All three of those guys brought the perfect balance of realism and escapism to their comic stories. Loved them.
Best of the Rest:
Jim Lee
Andy Kubert
Marc Silvestri
Ivan Reis
George Perez
John Byrne
Alan Davis
Mike Zeck
Steve Epting
David Finch
Ed Benes
Love this list.
Sean Phillips, yes! I knew there was someone I really loved that I was forgetting when making my list.
Sean Phillips, stephanie hans, tyler crook, jock, steve dillon and inio asano
bernie wrightson's Frankenstein is getting a reprint this July!!!!!
YES!!
He was. Stan... oh man, this list was so damn hard to put together.
Omar you make The best content
You are too kind.
Steve Ditko is my favorite artist he’s underrated
Brother that's a great list I can guess your top ten are 90's artist. That would be mine as well along with some others.
They are in there.
Please do one for writers! But Claremont better be nr.1 it's so much fun interacting with him on Instagram
In no order
-Steve Ditko
-John Romita Jr
-Frank quitley
-Greg Capullo
-George perez
-Jack Kirby
-Jim Lee
-Mike Mignola
-Ryan Ottley
-Tim Sale
-Rick Leonardi
-dan mora
-david finch
-Mark Badgly
-Darwyn Cooke
I love John Byrne and Walt Simonson!!!!meet them both many times..got many books signed to me....My favorite is having the thunder frog issues of Thor signed by Walt!!!..cheers
With regard to what you mentioned about Perez, Scott Koblish won a Guinness World Record for most number of comic book characters on a single comic book cover for The Wedding of Deadpool.
I wonder if Todd Nauck's Wolverine poster has that beat for more characters.
All subjective, right brother? And damn, you are so good with my top 10. :)
So....
Steve Ditko
Jack Kirby
Jim Steranko
Barry Windsor Smith
Neal Adams
Jim Starlin
Frank Miller
John Byrne
George Perez
Michael Golden
Bill Sienkiewicz
David Mazzuchelli
P Craig Russell
Darwyn Cooke
Frank Quitely
Rick Veitch
JH Willians
Seth Fisher
Paul Pope
It is a hard list to compile. Belive me. :) Took me some time.

John Buscema and George Perez are in my top 10 list.
I'll be honest. It took me years to appreciate his art. I used to hate his artwork.
Near Mint Condition
I know what you mean. He’s very much an acquired taste, but once you’ve acquired it, a whole new world opens up. We3 in particular is some brilliant stuff and shows just how innovative he is.
@@QuietBatperson96 I think it was All Star Superman that did it for me. We3 his art is phenomenal.
My favourites are:
Steve Dillon
Alex ross
Ivan Reis
Jim Lee
Frank miller(old)
Dave gibbons
Kentaro miura
Eiichiro oda
Gary frank
Frank quitley
George Perez

Forgive me if the spellings are wrong
I admire your restraint . I don`t think I could do less than 50. The only one I wouldn`t put on My list is Fiona Staples . Good but not one of my favorites. But art is subjective.
I thought about doing top 50, but to break down and talk about why would have have been a task.
I only have 12:
Sejic
Phil Noto
John Buscema
Kirby
Jim Lee
Fiona Staples
Sana Takeda
Michael Lark
Roc Upchurch
Ivan Reis
Jen Bartel
Chris Samnee

Amazing artist. Truly a master.
This is such a subjective topic but being an art lover I like seeing everyone’s tastes. It can really make it break a story. The paneling, rendering, colors, and PANELING
This is fact! That’s a good look on everyone’s list. Subjective.
In no specific order: 1)Michael turner 2)joe mad! 3)Humberto Ramos 4)John romita jr 5)mark bagley 6)Jim Lee 7)Chris bachalo 8)Steve mcniven 9)Greg capullo 10)Jorge Jimenez
