I haven't heard a Dave rant like that in a while. Rants like these keep me motivated to continue with what my family is doing with money instead of letting the culture dictate what we do with our money.

I've been in FPU thru my Church. It helped me so much. The items I learned is helping setup for retirement. God bless America and help our young people hear the horn sounding now. Thinking is fun not hard. It's encouraged to analysis and check yourself.

Missing Ramsey Rants 😢
I wish I had gotten on the Dave Train prior to graduating in 2006 cause I would've been done with this mess a long time ago. Better late than never, though! Once I finally went through FPU I was hooked. Now, 10 years to the month after my Sallie Mae payments started, I will be making my very last payment on them next week. I can't wait until I see that balance read $0.00!

While I don't agree with 100% of what Dave says, I love how he can keep me motivated with his rants. I'm 25 and all my friends are spending like crazy, buying new cars, going on vacations, eating out, and dropping huge $$ at bars. Wish I could convince my friends and co-workers to get on board. Sad that they may never get ahead!
Never lose sight of the prize. I paid my way through college and grad school. No loans. I retired 10 yrs early and own my own home all by myself. Planning on seeing the world God created. You are on the right path.

Laughing at how many people in America who are actually really trying to buy an iPhone x for 1000+
after they bought the iPhone 8 for $1000 3 months earlier...
Akeenya ... Nothing wrong with buying nice things if you have the money to pay cash for it. Same goes for expensive cars and real estate.
I bought an iPhone 8 for $400. It would have been $750 brand new. So I got it for $350 cheaper than if I had bought it new. But instead I got it for a cheaper price on eBay.
But if nobody bought it brand new, then there would be nobody to sell it on eBay.
Now imagine the same in Portugal with the average salary being 25% and the price being 1000€ (1200$).
Man people are dumb.
I just bought an XR for $30........ brand new for $30 just because it was on promo with ATT...... lol ..... all you have to do is wait a year or two after it’s out

A buddy of mine who's now a very experienced mechanic for years now dropped out of tech college for automotive because he wasn't learning anything new from the instructor who he was paying to literally read a book to a class. He's doing very well for himself and has NO STUDENT LOAN(S).

Dave’s rants are my everyday Sunday church.
These are just the sort of rousing rants I love to hear from Dave. They keep me motivated and my eyes on the prize when it gets difficult. Everyone else I know seems to travel freely, to buy homes and cars at whim, buy their kids as much junk as they want, and by all accounts, seem to be living "the good life." Meanwhile, we're sacrificing (although by no means are we wanting for anything, when you consider that we still have it better than the majority of people in the world do). I wonder if the values that are prized in America today, like materialism and greed, aren't actually hindrances to the American Dream, because I honestly feel that although I don't have fancy cars, clothes, gadgets, or a house, I AM living "the good life." I've already got more than I could possibly need. I've got plenty of food and a roof over my head. And I've got my priorities in line with my goals. Keep these rants coming, Dave!
