    Wow that was really good information on the topic of shockwave therapy. Such a new field, but the data looks to be promising, there just needs to be more double blinded studies done, and if the test are all positive looks like ED could be a thing of the past, and this is definitely a home run.

    I'm late to this 2019 video presentation, and I am wondering why a clinical trial by Baylor Med didn't/hasn't been conducted using allogeneic human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells, (HucMSC) (now known as medicinal signaling cells), expanded in tissue culture.
    The source of these cells would be significantly more cost effective than extracting adipose tissue to obtain HucMSCs, with (I would surmise) greater efficacy than adipose tissue derived HucMSCs.
    In performing a Google search, there are clinics in the USA that are offering ED treatment using medicinal signaling cells (MSCs), in combination with exosomes, I think the use of PRP will be less used as time progresses.

    He said to avoid which type of shockwave machine? Sounded like he said nomadic shockwave machines, but I'm not sure if I spelled it right. Is Gainswave nomadic?

    • @rickwells9929
      @rickwells9929 4 года назад +7

      Gainswave is a marketing name, it's not the name of the actual machine. Gainswaive only uses a radial wave technology thats completely useless. That machine is NOT a Focused shockwave machine and the studies done on radial wave SW machines are useless.The reason why they don't use a true focused SW machine is because it's extremely expensive, and most patients don't know the difference. The only true shockwave machine thats approved for use in the United States is the Storz Duolith SD-1 and NOT the Storz D-Actor that sounds similar but is only a radial wave technology.

      @@rickwells9929 You also might want to look at the MST Urogold100. It's an unfocused wave and it appears to be affective and is currently being used in trials for the Journal of Sexual Medicine. I'm still shaky on the science though.

    Finally urologists are taking this seriously but only after seeing a dent in their business. I do respect and appreciate what you do as I have been helped by one. I am a family physician, now an erectionologist at Wasatch Medical Clinic in Salt Lake City. We opened 22 months ago and have been very busy doing low intensity shock wave therapy to the penis with great results 80% of the time. My boss has opened 4 other clinics in St George, Boise, Scottsdale and Portland. The reason for such little data comes down to $$. There are no $$ to be made on the back end so why spend $$ on the front end? Now places like East Carolina, Baylor and UCSF are doing something. Some times all we have are anecdotal experiences which unfortunately physicians and the FDA do not trust. Just come see our patients and they will tell you. We use the Storz machines (very expensive, the best) and have fine tuned our protocol. We are not a medical spa doing Gaineswave. Come see us and learn.

      For anyone reading this. If you are starting to go bald, just let it happen! Fucking with your hormones can cause problems that are extremely difficult to recover from. Shave it, comb it over, what the fuck ever. Just don't take drugs like propecia/finasteride or rogaine/minoxidil. You may be the 98% who aren't affected, but if you are in the unlucky minority, it's a deep well to climb out from. It's really not worth it. Get jacked and go bald.

      @@vistian How are the shockwaves treatments going?

    • @vistian
      @vistian 3 года назад +3

      @@stephengreico504 Hey, man. So, I've had 8 sessions of LIST thus far and things have improved significantly from when I was at my worst at the beginning of the year. The grayscale imaging before my first 6 and after showed improvement to the cavernosal tissue in the distal penis, but there is still a bit of fibrosis to try to clear up midshaft, proximal, and in the crus area.
      I'm not 18 again, but I am once again responding to PDE5-inhibitors, have morning erections, and get spontaneous erections from sexual thoughts and sexual situations with women. The results didn't come right away for me, but were subtly noticed a few weeks after each session. I would highly suggest to treat this like bodybuilding and to put yourself in a caloric surplus for at least a week after your treatments, as your body needs the extra energy to make new tissue - that's just my anectdotal theory and I have no evidence this is actually the case.
      I can't again stress this enough to do your research with whatever clinic you are thinking about giving your hard-earned money to and make sure the machine they use has actual evidence behind it that it helps restore erectile function. There are lots of less than savory players in this game who are preying on our vulberability to try anything.
      I hope that helps and to anyone sufffering, you're not alone, this shit fucking sucks, but modern medicine has options to help. I am just a lowly software engineer turned premed student, so I'm not a licencsed physician, but if I can help in anyway, please feel free to reach out. I actually reply to RUclips comments! Best of luck, guys!

      Clinical studies and clinical trials is merely a way for the FDA to get their greedy paws of gaining control over every medical treament. Look at what they tried to do to Dr. Stanislaw Burzynski. This guy has saved thousands of lives with his cancer treatments but because the FDA wasn't making money on it they wouldn't approve what he was doing and then tried to write him off as a charlatan and put him in jail. The FDA is a disgrace and put money over human lives FACT!!!!!
